To clarify a point of misinformation: phones CAN wirelessly charge through plastic backs. The A51 just doesn't contain a wireless charging coil. I had a brain fart the day I recorded this. My bad.
What is charging coil for or do?
@@Sindylg973 to receive the power lol
Is wireless charging really wireless? You have to hook up the charge pad to an outlet so is it really eliminating anything...oh my God I had to stick a cable in and pull it out of my phone...the worlds ending I must have a phone that I can set on something to make it charge!!!
Oh and while I'm at it...who cares about a finger print reader.. you realize your giving Google and apple your finger prints, just like when you use talk to text Google and apple are literally recording your voice, you can go into Google and listen to the recordings. No thanks I'll stick to pin codes and pluging a fucking cable in by hand to save some privacy and a ton of money.
Word?
My a51 has 6gb ram
@@sarthakjain6731 IT DOES RIGHT?! 6GB RAM 128 ROM?
Simple hack for fingerprint scanner. Turn on High touch sensitivity ,scan your finger. Turn off high touch sensitivity and you are ready to go. Fingerprint scanner will work 80% better.
Also scan the same finger 3 times in different angles

Why do people always misunderstand the term "glastic"? It was never meant to be a "fusion" between plastic and glass to get the best of both, it's an engineered plastic. A plastic made to mimic some qualities of glass.
it's fully plastic but smoothed to the point that it shines and looks like glass, yep
also at 1:20 he said it couldn't wireless charge due to it being plastic, erm last time I checked plastic does not conduct and wireless charging works fine through it. Even the s4 could wireless charge through its plastic back.
@@magnarex also Lumia 820 had wireless charging with a plastic cover.

Well tbh "budget phones" are at the price of flagship phones just a couple years ago and modern flagship phones have put priced their customers cus they think their wealth is growing with everyone's income. And plus they take advantage of retard apple to set the ripoff standard.
This is a mid ranger they are always better than budget phones

This is what happens when people don't appreciate history and expect perfection out of everything.
There are some choices on this phone that just don't make much sense though. It seems like a fair review.
@@TheRedstonedeluxe Maybe people are just jaded and lack appreciation for modern advancements.

This was one of the best reviews I've seen. The stuff you didn't like would drive me absolutely nuts! And I haven't seen most of it in any other review. Thank you! 👍
I love youtube for this! I just learnt that : Register many fingers instead of only one for each supposed to be 1 fingerprint, for ex the thumbs and the index and a third and forth finger if you wish untill you reach 100%. When unlocking with any of the fingers you registered with it will work like CHARM!!!!
it is a great review that focuses on positive as well as negative day to day scenarios.
First time seeing this channel. covered what the real world usage feels👍🏼👍🏼
Great review, thanks.
This was one of the phones I was tempted to buy. I am looking for a phone with headphone jack/dac, sd card slot and a good battery/charge. I have LG G7 at the moment and don't want to pay a crazy amount for their new phones with the specs I'm wanting. I saw this A51, A71, Oppo A72 & Realme 6 Pro - but I've heard those 2 Oppo & Realme phones don't have always on display (something I find very useful) - this I find odd as I hear it's cos they are not AMOLED screens, but checking GSMArena they have a IPS LCD screen, the same as my LG G7 ...which has AOD.

You are right i am watching this vid on a samsung Galaxy a51. All you said is true.
I purchased it at Something called Cbb mobile but its only in denmark. And my ram is 4GB
I've actually experienced my phone slowing down after a few days of not using it. For me, the slowness and glitches subsided after 1-2 days
the heck???
I have had an 2018 a7 for 2 years and it barely lags. Tf u mean slowness after 2 days
Omg this happened to me months ago ( like in March) when I had my a51 at first it worked well but then it started to lag in a lot of apps and animations. That never happened to me in other phones so I had to return it.. now I'm back to see if samsung did something to improve the phone but as I can see nothing rly happened
There's something wrong with your device then. It shouldn't lag. Be sure to return it back or just buy a new one. You've been scammed, my friend. lol

that's to do with the very small scanning area, sure he missed it a couple of times but still the fingerprint scanner on this phones is not fast and is fails to unlock your phone in crucial situations

By the way what phone/apps that you use to make this video? I like the blurred background that you have, wonder if it's from default video from phone or edited?
I have an a51 the phone is great and the fingerprint works 99% of the time opening apps and multitasking is good aswell idk why this is but I have the 6gb version of the phone maybe that is why
I just bought my son this phone everything works fine & it's not as slow as this guy said it is i guess the software updates fixed that
I just took my A51 camping and the battery did well into the next day. Once I removed bloatwarr or disabled, and I found in settings a slider to reduce animations. No lag or problems yet, great screen. Thumbprint always works for me, i put same thumb twice. Facial recognition works excellent but not in dark room of course. You can also have a pattern so three ways to unlock phone
AFTER WATCHING MORE THAN 10 VIDEOS THIS IS TRULY THE BEST ONE!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH MARK!
From what I understand, the A51 is a pretty good phone for a good price. Even better coming from an older phone. I have a J7 with pretty low benchmark scores compared to the A51, so I think it will be a vast improvement.
Ive used the phone for a little over a year now.. awesome phone! great for social media, okay pictures (not good at night) , pretty decent for games and great for viewing movies and shows on this thing. Overall definitely better than what you get for its price. Recommend.

Thanks for the review.. It's very useful n informative.

Speaking from my experience using Samsung J1 mini.
J series was the series where Samsung got tough competition from Chinese brand who brought better internal and more RAM for same price. After losing market share, Samsung rejuvenate the budget line up into A series. I won't be surprised if the processor is (possibly) the weak link. It looks like a heavy face-lift with similar philosophy from previous J series. I know not to expect much from A series.
I admire your honesty.
Nicely Sumup
i found it useful, thank you for sharing, yes I have a limited budget to spend, but i don wanna lose my whole limited budget at the same time by spending on sth sounds budet friendly high tech...

Your phone may be have issues otherwise mine is working perfect from last 2 months
Thanks for the review. Planning to get this for my dad.
Great review, I'm currently on the lookout for a new phone for my dad and the A51 is one of the options, seeing your review along with some other thing I've read about it, I think I'll go with the A71.
Is the A71 not going to be too big for him?
is it actually that slow though? will i notice it? I've got a galaxy a5 from 2017 and a galaxy tablet smT230 from YEARS AGO and I find the tablet quite slow and the phone is just a little slow, like I don't really notice that at all, so will the a51 be slower than the a5 or faster because as long as its a little bit faster I'm fine
Ill be so much faster
Galaxy A51 inhand feel is good and the performance is also good. I didn't find any issues in terms of performance. This exynos 9611 is also used in Galaxy A50s and Galaxy M30s. But the back is plastic in A51, that would easily get scratches while using it for a long time.
So I ordered a black raptor skin from gadgetshieldz for protection and to improve grip
Is the A50's Exynos 9610 chip faster?
I prefer plastic over glass anyday

It has never happened that I subscribed to someone's channel after watching just one video. Great job Mark!!
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
Do 6gb of ram make a considerable difference? Given the weak specs already.
I just picked up an s8+ for my wife for Christmas & she seems to love it quite a bit I have the S10+ & to be honest we're just casual cell phone users.. calls, text messages, CZcams videos & basic emails. I think any of these phones will work perfect for most ppl. Nice review
The only gripe I have with this is the processor. I've been using it for about a month and it tends to skip frames, but only a few times though. Some apps like CZcams and Chrome even stop working for some reason. If only the processor was a little better, I would've been much happier.
Agree, that's why I got A71, Snapdragons are much better than Exynos
The exynos chipset is the main downgrade. Because of this, there's lag and slow fingerprint scanner. If they put SD 730 soc, then I would bother buying A51.
@@FaheemProductions Ridiculous! This is a mid range phone not a flagship! I had a A50 now A51 as my second phone to my Note 10+ 5g!
Your review is over hyped. It works great, isn't slow.
Great review!
Watching on an A51, and I come from an LG flagship. I wouldn't say the difference is that stark. I have never experienced lags as bad as shown in the video. And I do get some misreads on the FPR but accurate read rate is closer to 90%. I will say that in the first weeks I had 1 misreads out of every 2 tries, but once you get used to the positioning and timing of the reader and let muscle memory take care of it the whole process is a lot better.
