I've got an F4L912W mounted transverse in an EIMCO 911B LHD. It's original, so it doesn't stick out beyond the factory frame. Sheet metal is a misnomer; that machine is built out of 1/4-1/2" steel plate for mine duty. I do know of a shop in Michigan that grafted an F4L912W into an older machine that had an F3L912W that was only running on one or two cylinders; they bulged the frame and cowling out on one side to accommodate it.
hey m8 good video i got a f3l912 and it stops after between 3 to 10 min of running now i found the primerpump to be missin some valvepart and the membrane was torn because of water i suspect . but i got new one today and it still stops could it be the diesel pump itself ? i dont think its injectors because it start just fine when you prime it ????? do you hav any advice for a por boy who is the same age as the tractor

That would make a good generator engine. Although it seams a bit louder than a liquid cooled engine.
I actually acquired another 2 cyl deutz recently that is a generator setup, ill be doing a video on that soon hopefully!
