#DallasCowboys #NFLDraft #TylerGuyton - Sport
I remember there were so many fans shitting on the Tyler Smith and Travis Frederick picks give this guy some time if anything doesn’t this team deserve the benefit of the doubt when it comes to drafting Oline .
Our fan base is never satisfied
All the people bummed about not getting Barton need to wait to see who we get at 73. Then we will see if Guyton + 73 is better than Barton or not.
Not to mention Guyton has a ceiling that could be just as good as Barton… Then u add that 73 pick which should be a quality player too .. No brainer
@@hardknocks96792 THANK YOU Tyler Guyton is just getting started his ceiling could be higher than every tackle in the draft if he's as smart and a physical freak as they say sky's the limit. I watched him on pull plays and man that dude is explosive.
@@hardknocks96792could be. He’s a project pick. Very raw barley played any games in college I’m not a huge fan of the pick
2 sacks allowed on 700 snaps over 2 seasons...plus we got an extra pick. I'm ok
@@trentyoung5098it's only been 2 years since the cowboys did this same thing with Tyler Smith... He was the exact same and is now an all pro.
I think him lining up against Micah everyday in practice is really going to speed his growth.
Or mess up his confidence. Lol!!
I’m not sure why people question our first round O line picks. This is the one category we literally don’t miss 😂. Oh ye of little faith
The ones upset at this pick were the same ones upset with the Tyler Smith pick a few years back. These guys do this for a living and know every in and out of football while you eating chips yelling at your tv lmao. You not in a front office for a reason.
😂😂
They also got mad about travis fredrick also
Ok but what have you won with those Trench players ?
@@John-or8zeYep
@@RockydenzelDak is the reason we haven’t done anything. Not our O-line. Watch some football before you comment
We got nfl draft experts in here lol...6'7 monster who can play and will learn with the coaches we got
That’s what was said about Mazi 😂😂😂
@@rv2rdln And Tyler Smith which worked out. Many people still doubted Tyler last year.
@@rv2rdlnin case you hadn’t noticed, Mazi is a DEFENSIVE lineman, the majority of the offensive linemen Dallas drafts pan out
How big is Mazi and how athletic is he? 🤫
@@rv2rdlndoesn’t matter if he’s ass and doesn’t produce which he doesn’t
If the cowboys pick a O-line he’s a future All-Pro
Also remember the talk about Tyler Smith and look who he is now?
Everyone knocking our first round pick, remember that you said the same exact thing about Tyler Smith (and you were completely wrong).
The Cowboys draft history is some of the best in the league (behind the mastermind of Will McClay, also one of the best in the league). That's why I don't invest my energy in questioning them. And, I also remind myself that Jerry Jones doesn't sign my paycheck, which, quite obviously, too many of you think that you're actually employed by the Dallas Cowboys.
Stress level = 0
The talking heads liked Barton so the fans liked Barton. The talking heads didn't like Tyler Smith so the fans didn't like Tyler Smith. Lets trust the Cowboys to draft OL.
Solid strategy for Day 1. Day 2 will be the bread and butter of this draft.
Him goin against Parsons will give him an edge of the top tier pass rushers
Tyler Smith All Pro
Zack Martin Hall of Famer
Travis Frederick All Pro
Tyron Smith Hall of Famer.
They said same thing about Tyler Smith a couple years ago he panned out to be all pro in his second year Cowboys have a nack for selecting good O lineman
Tyler and Tyler let’s go
Cowboys had a good day one. We addressed a need at OL and gained an extra 3rd round pick. Tyler Guyton, under our coaching, can be solid. Let's get a LB and RB next.
I think we need to address the DT position. I believe Mike Zimmerman defenses this is a major piece to its success. I'm hearing that Micah would be moving around a lot more this season.
Don’t worry everybody, we’ll have the #1 overall pick very soon. Just be patient. It will happen!
lol I don’t doubt it.
Decent pick mainly started at right tackle reminds me of when we drafted trueno smith primarily right tackle drafted for right side then changed over to left after a while to take over for Doug free. I think he’ll be decent but seems to struggle with swim moves and hand placement is not the best. But in a year or possibly within first 8 games will be a lot better .
Bobby Belt - undoubtedly my favorite host - watch Arliss season 1 episode 1 - Jerry joke at his finest
Couldn't they have gotten him at 24? Oops didn't know they got a 3rd. I think that's why they really moved down. Wait till day two that's where the money will be found
Y’all questioning this pick because of wat hear this guy sayin, instead of doing ur own research and watch film
But isn't that what half this fanbase does always. They only knows what the media tells them
This is a W pick !! I’m not debating 💯
Bro three years, he needs to be good now!!
This dude's going to be a beast from the beginning
@@andrewbrann6231highly doubt it but I hope so.
But why now? Do you honestly feel like we are in Super Bowl contention this year? Even if we don’t trade back you are still going to have some growing pains with a rookie center. Let’s develop Guyton for one year and have a more polished O Line. Makes it a much more attractive destination for vets or a better place to develop a rookie if we move on from Dak. Especially with this Behemoth of a human guarding your blind side
cowboys gonna suck in 2024 , one and done in the playoffs at best , we can wait a year or 2 , he will be great
@MrFALLENHER0 i pull for Dallas and all but they WON'T make the playoffs. I'm calling it now. Dallas misses the playoffs and we move on from dak
Seems like the same things are being said about Guyton that were being said about Tyler smith with a bit less hype. Great physical traits, good in the run game but needs technical work in pass blocking. Hopefully he works out on the left side
Should have taken Barton. But, you get Guyton, keep smith at his position , and get a 3rd round pick!!! We will see how this works out
They need to kick Smith out for now and this Guyton at LG. He's not ready. Only played RT for about a yr. LT is all new ballgame. That's where the pressure comes from...the blind side.
@@sasquatchmedia9504At RT he was protecting the blind side of a left-handed QB.
@@Duude125 we dont have a left handed QB....?? You make no sense
@@sasquatchmedia9504 You said he is not ready for LT because that's where the pressure comes from. He was handling the pressure at RT already. It's not a big deal being on the left or right. What counts is being athletic enough to handle the pressure and Guyton has that.
@@Duude125 and i stand by that. He's not ready. He barely knows the position and he would again have to relearn steps, blocking assignments, think backwards to the little he's learned and face better competition on the left side of the line. He's a major project and when you draft you draft starters in the 1st rd. He's not there yet. There's a 50/50 chance of a bust imo
I like trading down and addressing OL...but not with a project like Guyton. Frazier would've made me much happier, as he's ready-made to help you immediately.
I hope that I'm wrong and that Guyton can plau well next year.
Who's to say Guyton starts at Lt. tackle. He could take over for Steele. Beebe could be your center, Bass Lt guard, and Smith Lt tackle. Steele was the biggest liability on the line last year. Bass played descent for an undrafted free agent. Best 5, let's go.
The same scouting department that drafted mazi smith, luke schoonmaker, and demarion overshown with their first three draft picks last year. We could have had Barton this year if we didn't donate a 4th rd pick to san fran.
Can't throw overshown in there yet he hasn't played a nfl snap. Also scoonmaker was the stupidest pick ever.
@@MrMinionMoney Yeah true overshown didn't contribute because he got injured in preseason. But he was the third rd pick and I don't know that he was expected to contribute right away like the other 2 were. I'm rooting for all three but it seems like Mazi probably has the best chance to become a starter this season. Which is a rebuilding season btw. I bet Dak and CD are quietly on the unofficial trade block. Start Lance and lose every single game for first pick next year 😁
@jeremiah817tx let dak walk but I'd extend CD he's a legit WR1 that ant QB would need
@@MrMinionMoney I think Dak has trade value and is good enough to help a good, balanced team win a title. If the cowboys had a good gm we could have got a first rounder for Dak but we'll trade him for peanuts like amrari Cooper or like you said just let him walk for nothing. The one thing the front office has been constantly good at is wasting the careers of generational players. D.ware, dez, romo, Tyron smith ect. So I agree with you about ceedees greatness but he's in his prime rn and we should mercy trade him. Everybody knows you win in the trenches. Looked at the cowboys o line and d lines going into this season.
Bro how does he help us if he’ll be good in 3 years
Right I just heard that and was like ???
cowboys 2024 was doomed regarldless , get him some experience he will be a beast by next season
we have never had a bad 1st OLINE jerry knows what he’s doing , you can’t teach size and the dudes an athletic freak give him some time to develop but i think he’s going to be a stud even year one like smith was
I didn't know he only had 1 start, that's crazy. One start and you get drafted in the first round???, I had a high school teammate that started 3 years at UT and was an All-American at OT and he got drafted 29th. It seems like the bar has been lowered significantly.
They meant be only started once at LT but he’s started like 13 Games at RT
@@dajoker4279 thanks for the clarification, still seems low but that's much better than just one start
Started at RT to protect a left-handed QB.
@@mattclark6482 he's only played football for 3 years. He needs coached up. But if they are excited about it. He can maybe be what they need.
@@spoza72why tf would we pick someone who’s only been playing for 3 years wtf are we doing
Barton was there..but I get Dallas build through draft. Normally, the trade would’ve been a mid to late 4th round pick. So Dallas wins the trade but it’s still about who you draft.
All in
Looks like Dallas is in rebuild mode with this project pick
I like the pick
Cowboy fans love to cry.. until that 73 pick turns into somebody like Trey Benson , Zach Frazier, Sweat etc etc etc 😂 Yall remember Tyler Smith??
Seems like everyone’s happy 🤷🏻♂️
So your 1st rd pick will be serviceable in 2-3yrs, better hope he's ready this year.
Dallas hits on picks regularly and I think they're going to hit on this one. Big ass dude
Yeah for some reason these so called experts/fake Cowboys fans assume they know more than Dallas especially when they always hit at drafting linemen.
Our history with 1st round OLine is impeccable. People are so short sighted smh
For real it’s the ones that say were ass are drafting are the ones that don’t realize that the only thing the Cowboys are good at and honestly that’s Will McClay specialty drafting offensive lineman, and he usually drafts ones that are super athletic, Big, or went to schools that produce good lineman and this dude checks every box
@@waynegreen7634 half of the ones that complain are the same ones that have three favorite teams
Not quite that bad. But their issues can’t all be addressed in the draft. You have to draft a tackle. Every year the Cowboys have injuries on the OL. All of these guys will need to improve. The OL had to be addressed. May not like it. But these guys last many years. Whomever the QB or RB is. You must have a good OL. The guy doesn’t give up sacks. That’s all that matters.
y'all yelling we got a extra pick , this thinking is why we are losers now but yall know better than me i guess
Cowboys don't miss on offensive lineman. According to their track record, we now have 2 pro bowl tackles for the next 10-12 years. Good pick
Should’ve kept Tyron if they were gonna trade away from a perennial all pro to draft a project
tyron has maybe 1 year left full of injuries , this guy can be a 10 plus year starter and hopefully pro bowler
Burton is definitely not a sure thing, much less a perennial all-pro.
Games are won in the trenches. I’ll take OL and DL all day.
Where Mel Kiper was right😂
Great pick go Boyz
Why draft a project player Kingsley Suamataia was best plug and play tackle on board Guyton hope he reach the upside
You think they drafted him to be a project? They never miss when they draft linemen in the first round. He's already shown he can adjust and learn quickly and he's very smart.
@@waynegreen7634 how many games has he played left tackle he is a developmental project player he may not even start
Yeah, and you realize some guys in this draft literally only played nine games it’s about traits and athleticism, and this guy has plenty of those. Honestly, I trust the Cowboys when it comes to drafting offensive lineman.
@@dsbeats5657 i know why they drafted him but it was a left tackle there that proving he is a left tackle again if he can reach the potential his up side all good
So much for Center and LT being your needs ?????????????????????
I get trading back that was solid we needed extra third. But I don’t think center or LT was ever your need. With 3 picks Friday night I’m
Hoping 1 is a o Lineman. Funny when Jake from State Farm said Guyton will be good in 3 years that’s great sho will be the QB ???????
So basically they got another Randy Gregory yayyyyyy 😞
Well dak better get an aquired taste of turf.
Lmfao
You probably said the same thing when we drafted Tyler Smith 2 years ago
Don't hate the pick.but we put ourselves in the spot where we couldn't take bpa n had to pick for need.jpj would made us better quicker then him
JPJ wasn't even in the conversation, lol
still doesn’t matter we lost barton the guy they actually because we have so many holes
We're good, as long as he can keep Dak Clean and he's not a penalty machine.
He looks like he'll be great in the run game.
This is the first time in all my life where I’ve not looked forward to the season. Optimism is down the drain and it started with that fat lie from Jerry’s mouth that “we’re all in”. Thanks Jerry. Please sell this team.
All in on a project tackle l lol yea this is a soft reboot... full reboot if dak isnt signed
The grandkids in the war room is cringe
IM GLADDDDD NO ONE LIKES HIM CUZ THAT MEANS HES GOING TO BE GOOD LMFAO
He has no upside
He’s like 6-8 lol
L O L that’s literally his thing his athleticism is that crazy and you know it’s crazy literally fans were saying this shit about Tyler Smith a couple years ago. He had technical issues with his blocking, but he had to at elite athleticism and was very coachable and now look two years later, he’s a literally an all pro guard .
Drafting a project possible bust in the first round your happy about it
Tyler Guyton is not the prospect Smith was, Smith was so nasty and an elite run blocker. Guyton has a tight end mindset at OT and has barely any nasty to his game, we drafted a project athlete.
They like their guys until it’s time to pay them.
In 3 years the Cowboys will be ready not to pay Tyler Smith and want Guyton to take over!
Damn not the right pick we need starters not project players.
Clearly, you don't know what you are talking about.. everyone also hated the Tyler Smith pick.. dallas knows OL
💯@@Drake23x23
@@Drake23x23u could see tyler smith was an instant starter at guard tho two different situations
One thing Cowboys seem to get right is drafting 1st round O-Lineman. So (I’m all in) on this pick
@@baandzzo Tyler Smith started at tackle his first year. He was supposed to be our tackle of the future until he shined at guard this past season.
i am sick of these Dallas project first round picks! literally a waste of a first round talent! take him in the second if he is a project! wasted a pick on a late second, early third round player.
Will be wasted like Neville galimore
Gallimore wasn’t wasted he couldn’t play at all .
yipppeee......smh
We suck again!!!
They always sucked
Another doom and gloomer. Do you have any enjoyment in life?
You can do it!
Barton was the pick
We got a good lineman who has an upside and an extra pick tomorrow that’s not too bad
😂😂😂😂😂😂 THE CLOWN SHOW CONTINUES.... A FKN PROJECT... ARE YOU FKN KIDDING ME ???????
