I have a ton of DC collections, but have loved Spidey and wanted to get a Spidey omnibus. My sister gave me Ultimate Spiderman Collection like 10 years ago and I absolutely LOVE it. Like you, its also the first omnibus I ever received and really stoked my love of comics. Thanks to your vid, I think I’ll start with the McFarlane Amazing Spiderman and dip into the Miles Spiderman. That's awesome to hear! I do think that book has been a gateway comic for a lot of folks, haha. Hope you enjoy the Michelinie and McFarlane stuff as well as the Miles stuff - both rock in their own ways!
I was so late to realising how great Ultimate Spider-Man is... I just read it for the first time a few months ago, and I binge read the whole series from the beginning, including all the Miles stuff as I was so hooked! I'm very excited to get the omnibus reprint of Vol 1 and hope they continue with printing further volumes this time around!
I really do hope we get more of the Ultimate universe - some things may have flopped but overall it was so refreshing, easy to read, and so much fun! All the Spider-Man stuff though is pretty A+ quality!

interesting to not see any of the Lee stuff on the list, I've read Vol 1 & 2 and and they're probably in my top 5 omnis I own. Although you did have the Stern omni on the list and i've heard that's just as good (got it on order)
I just went based on what I had. I would've probably tried to squeeze in ASM vol 2 in there (1 is fine but I feel like they hit a wonderful stride in 2) if I still had it! Lots of iconic stuff in both of those for sure, though!
I sincerely hope that with the reprint of the first Ultimate Spider-Man by Bendis & Bagley Omni coming out in January sells well enough to the point where Marvel will publish the complete & full run in the Omni format. 🙂🤞🤞🕷🕸📚
Right? I understand it to some degree from a marketing perspective but I always found it a bit odd they did a volume one and then skipped right to a death of USM omnibus lol! There's so much great content that would be included in the volume two! I've got high hopes we'll get it eventually, though. Thanks for watching and have an awesome weekend!
People seem to think teachers don't make good money....my ex girlfriends parents were high school teachers and both pulled more then 65k a year and don't have to work during off seasons....it's pretty much the easiest job ever as the only requirement is knowing more then children. We get it though everyone really appreciates a glorified baby sitter so we don't have to deal with our own children.
Well, the comment was a bit tongue in cheek but the truth behind it is that bad things happening to good characters makes for interesting stories about overcoming trauma/adversity/whatever it may be. If Peter Parker was real, I’d love for him to catch a break and be able to live his best life unbothered by outside forces! But this being a comic book, if the characters never go through any struggles then it will feel like there’s no stakes and we wouldn’t be as engaged in the narrative of the character. Now that doesn’t mean it isn’t exhausting when there’s TOO much of that in a book but that’s another subject!

Marvel is already planning a second volume of Ultimate Spider-Man later this year.
