Great video. I see tattoos and the question always comes up. Will visible tattoos hinder your employment possibilities? Iâm a greenie and have a full sleeve.
Hey Ruan. Thanks for the comment! Yes, your tattoo will hinder your employment possibilities. It makes it way harder to get hired but it's not impossible! There are more and more yachts every year who are willing to hire people with tattoos. I think one of the biggest things is whether you would be willing to wear something that will cover it if needed. Sometimes when charter guests have small children, then they might not want to see crew with tattoos, so if you can prove a way of covering for these situations, then it will help your application greatly. It's got a lot to do with your mindset, if you really, really want to work onboard, then give it your all to find work, and work will come ;) Don't give up!
