How did we get from this best of times to the current worst of times? God save America.
Boy!!!! Did we have good music.
Our youth is sadly deprived.
Que voz!!🎼🎵🎶
Damn, we grew up with some of the most amazing music!!! I am so grateful!
our music,formed us for life
Do you have to be a little late to the party but I don't know how much you love and respect for others 😂🤣🤠 then guess who U
@@eddieford3449 I don't understand what you are saying,,,,
Didn’t we!!
Don't be so hasty. There is great music today too - just as much. You are hand-picking some of the best music of the era. There was a shit ton of actual crap then too.
Burton Cummings is very much underrated. His everlasting songs still make me smile.
One of the greatest singers ever 🎶✔️💥
Anybody miss the 70's?
100% miss the 70's, was the best time of my life, and the music speaks for itself.
Damn right
Turned 61 years old yesterday. Wishing I could go back!
This song has aged like fine wine.
Don't make them like this anymore. Lead guitarist is Randy bacchman of BTO

They just don't make music like this anymore
I grew up in Cleveland, home of RHOF, and I'm ashamed that this talented group isn't in the Hall They deserve to be there. I will never understand it. So many hits.
Clevelander too…..it’s an embarrassment to the RRHOF. And Cleveland
RRHOF is just made up for the owners to make money yes? Steve Miller is still pissed yes?
I consider the RRHOF a bit of a joke. Think of all the great artists and bands who are not included, and it's staggering. Jethro Tull, Soundgarden, Motorhead, Joe Cocker, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and of course, The Guess Who. The excuse given most often for the exclusion The Guess Who is that they were too commercial, and focused mostly on AM radio hits. Yet the Hall includes such artists are Abba, The Beach Boys and Blondie, all artists known primarily for the AM hits. Plus, to call it the ROCK and ROLL Hall of Fame, and include such artists as Joan Baez, Harry Belafonte, Nat King Cole, and Neil Diamond, makes the whole thing a bit of a farce. Unless you consider "Song Sung Blue" a Rock Classic, then there is absolutely no hope for you.
They probably get the shaft because they're a Canadian rock band. That's the only reason I can think of why they continue to get snubbed by the RRHOF.
I think the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame only focuses on hard rock
The sixties and seventies had some of the best musics ever been
Hello Cynthia , how're you doing, I hope you are doing fine. I'm David from Houston, Texas. Where are you from? You seems like a real Country girl😊🌹

...to those young ladies who listened to this with me...shared part of their lives with me back then...thank you...
They never got the recognition they deserved.
I remember hearing this as a little kid standing up in the back seat of my dad's Dodge corenet , driving through town
This song was a song of an old boyfriend and I when we were in school, boy what memories back in 75. He has passed away now died in 2016 . Bless his heart but we stayed good friends all of those yrs. And when we would hear that song we would look at each other right away. God rest your soul" Freddie" 🙏💕🕊💐
Hi Ruth , How are you doing?
i am an old man and i used to listen to this song way back in the day!
We didn't know how good we had it! Best music ever....
An actual band that can play and has a song. Unheard of today. So beautiful.
And they don't need a sound booth to make them sound good, they sound as good live as they do in a recording studio......
This stuff today has no soul.
I just can't cut today's music. Take me back to the 60s70s80s.

Burton Cummings is one of the most talented musicians and singers of all-time. Guess Who should be in that joke Rock Hall of Fame along with Grand Funk Railroad, Humble Pie and Ten Years After
Im 62 i think 60's 70's music had incredible meanings ◇€Z◇
Nice i realy appreacited this song i am 73 years old.
I don't listen to the radio anymore. I just cannot stand what they call music. This is music real music with heart and soul, felt emotions. I so miss that time!
Those were the days, also back in the day working in a repair garage, they played the country channel, and when ms. Wynettes songs would play I would yell Tammy Whynot, and my coworker - yell but Helens ready, sometimes while Willie Nelsons new album honey suck my hose was playing, just fun to pass hard days.
Amen!
Radio sucks they don't have the old like they used to

"These Eyes" Great and timeless song!
It really is a magnificent song.Great vocals.
@@angiepassetti1877When I was about 10 years old, that was the time I became interested in music at that time. The songs were great to listen to. And later also to dance to. Such as English pop song and American music. And of course not to forget the music that was played during Woodstock and also Soul R&B and Jazz. Big bands with Frank Sinatra. Salsa Meringue. It's too much to mention. The offer at that time was huge. I even listened to classical music. The primary school where I was taught at the time. He organised trips to the concert hall. And then a few classes from the school would sit and watch and listen to the concertgebouw orchestra. Great time it was, don't you think.
Most heartbreaking song ever. "These eyes are crying...these arms long to hold you again".
I would give anything to see them live. The very best.
Burton Cummings co-wrote and recorded this song when he was just 19 years old. Think about that kiddos. No computers. No auto-tune. No software program BS. Just a pen and paper and a voice and actual instruments and a brain. It's amazing what human beings can accomplish when they are challenged instead of handed a crutch and sold victimhood :) . Yeah, you won't hear music of this quality being created ever again, unless somehow someone creates artificial intelligence capable of human emotion and talent...
One of the top voices in the Rock Industry.
I'm with you all the way. Can't take the mine less stuff they play at my gym.
Check out where you go I go, by Jesus Culture, awesome tune.
fox river pwc tats when songwriters were truly talented.
Justin Heyward from the Moody Blues wrote Night In White Satin when he was 16 years old. Thats Amazing !!!!!

I'm a 1962 baby and would not change a thing! What a voice.....
Music doesn't get much better than this. !st time listen back in 1969 and still get a lump in my throat when listening to it now.

Hi Grace , How are you doing?
Great CANADIAN singer , very good song .
Still loving REAL MUSIC from when they actually played and sang without gadgets to make them sound like they can sing! What a great group!
This song makes me think of how rap artists are upset that they are not regarded in the same light that rock ‘n’ roll artists are and all you have to do is listen to this song versus any rap song and you realize why people don’t respect rappers
But they swim in moola.💰💰💰💰💰💰
I almost cry everytime I hear this song being played or song. Wherever she is at I pray to GOD that she is listening
From the minute I first heard the notes of the keyboard, I felt my ears perk up and I got that little chill you get when something is just so beautiful. My dad used to blast this in our tv room, along with many others from this era, and I remember twirling around thinking they were all written for me. The music, the voice, the lyrics. This is a what we call a masterpiece ladies and gentleman!
Always the best , I still cry . xxxx
Saw them do this live in concert in 1970, while I was in college, with a girl I was nuts about. The girl is a memory, but I still love the song.
This is my favourite Guess Who song. These bands during this time will be here forever. The bands from the 90s on many of those will not b remembered
Incredibly GREAT MUSIC‼️ Love this‼️ ❤️

The 1970s were jam-packed with so much great music.
I love that they're just as good as they are in recordings, this is March 2021!!!♊❤💋
6's and 70's.we had the best of the best in bands and music-never been equalled..
I can not hear this song without crying. So many memories.
The bands first gold single reached # 6 on Billboard in April of 1969 . This song almost never came to be if not for producer Jack Richardson . He mortgaged his home in order to get the group to RCA studios in New York to record These Eyes in late 1968 . We never new about this very " gutsy move " as Burton puts it until years afterword . This action by record producer Jack Richardson turned into a 14 album recording association with the Guess Who and RCA . From their first ( RCA ) single These Eyes and album Wheatfield Soul through the(LP) Power In The Music released in July of 1975 . After a finial 60 city tour Burton left the Guess Who in September of 1975 .
I have my kids listen to the 70s, music like this just doesn't exist anymore. Rock On!
Una joya eterna
Today's music has lost its mojo
This is when music was music. Real voices. None of the fake auto tune singers use these days. Those were the days baby. ✌🏻
I saw this band in Boise, Idaho in 1972. They put on a great show and played for over 2 hours
Baldwin Park High, Calif. Great song to slow dance and hang out with good friends, guys and girls.

I asked my elder brother if he remembered when I was always cheerful and happy. He said that was before my heart was broken.
So blessed to have grown up in the 60s and 70s....... if I had one place to time travel it would be to those very days......
So lucky to still be listening to this great music .........
one of the all-time great vocalists, Burton Cummings!!
I am so proud of my 27 year old daughter, two years ago she saw my album collection,60s,70s,and80s. Asked me if she could borrow them. She bought a turntable and listens to them. Loves Fleetwood Mac,won a trivia game at a club because she knew where the Pretenders started out. She’s familiar with Eric Clapton, her and I have seen Journey, and Def Leppard with the Pretenders. We are going to a Lynyrd Skynyrd show this fall, love it. She really hopes Fleetwood Mac tours so we can see them together. I must mention that I attended many shows since the Allman Brothers in 74 , so I’m kinda reliving my youth. So yes there are young people who appreciate what good music is. This group included!! Love Burton’s voice.
16 years old cruising in southern British Columbia in a 1970 Olds Toronado this tune cranked what great memories
I remember riding the school bus returning school when this song was released, right after Christmas break January 1969🎉🎉🎉
