And he never bothered to learn about how Goku and Vegeta were training to have literal God powers. Once again, he sealed his own fate.

    • @Ten0692
      @Ten0692 Před 7 lety +12

      Exactly. The numbers game became irrelevant after the Frieza saga as you said, but I think that was more of a 'writer's choice' than anything else, because to them it made no sense.
      Frieza, in this movie is still using 'outdated methods' to size up, because he's never seen how combat has changed since Trunks killed him, as evidenced when he lost miserably due to a lack of training, and consistency. The fighters have long risen above the 'numbers game', and abandoned it, as they can just 'sense who's stronger now', as also evidenced in that non canon episode you speak of.

      His first form on namak was 530,000 and it sky rockets to 120,000,000 in his final form. So that’s basically 530,000 times 228= 120,000,000 in his final form
      So in ROF: his first form is 1.3 mill. So reasonably we will times that like we did last time by 229= 230,000,000 in his final form. ( math could be off by a small percentage lowballing Frieza final form)

      During the Frieza saga his absolute max was 120 million with his first from at 530,000. He meant he could reach 1.3 million in his base form alone. If we do the math the 120 million is approximately 226 times greater than 530,000. If the multiple stays the same with his transformations this means that with a base power of 1.3 million his final form would have a power level of 293.8 million. Of course this is still insultingly low compared to Goku and Vegeta and even Majin Buu and Cell. Yet many fans speculate that when Frieza came to Earth after training his base form was at least, if not more, as powerful as Fat Buu clearly demonstrating that his power level in his base form was well into the double digit billions. Many people wonder and find it difficult to believe that Frieza could achieve such a dramatic increase in a short 4-6 months. My guess is when he reached his golden form it had the same effect as the Super Saiyan God transformation did for Goku and vastly increased his base power do to the forms influence on his body. Either because Frieza had never trained and wasn't aware how the increase works which is why he thought 1.3 million would be a decent or he was uninformed just how powerful Majin Buu was.

      @@crocodile_croo I doubt it tbh, toriyama made the mistake of power creeping Goku too much during the first two BOG movies in regards to beerus. And we still have yet to see even a real glimpse of beerus true power. Im pretty sure that even after TOP a statement from toriyama surfaced saying something along the lines of beerus still eclipses Goku in power by an astronomical amount. The reason I mention this is because, naturally, aside from Whis, no one in the 7th should outclass beerus. He's a destroyer god, a millennium + years old probably, and has all that experience under his belt. Frieza training and achieving a new form, should do nothing in comparison.

      @@crocodile_croo Goku can learn little from beerus when it comes to MUI, so its easy to sell this manga narrative with whis ≥ Goku and beerus ≥ Vegeta. Having said that, we know beerus has some sort of ultra instinct, to what degree we don't know yet because we've never seen it, just as we've never seen beerus tap his full power.
      Despite Goku being in UI during the TOP, jiren was still able to land blows after he limit breaked. I think beerus would crush Goku tbh.

    If Frieza only took 4 months to get that strong, what would happened if he trained longer? Think about... This movie takes place almost fifteen years defeated Frieza the first time. Which means that it took Frieza four months to achieve a power that took Goku almost a decade and a half to achieve. Hell if that's the case, he could've easily defeated Buu and Beerus if he trained for a few years. And on a side note, if Cell has Frieza's cells that means he has that same latent potential. Those two then are virtually the strongest in the DBZ universe. lol this movie is cool but it doesn't make any sense. And Gohan was a bitch too. He couldn't even go SS2

    • @CrazyHand196
      @CrazyHand196 Před 8 lety +49

      +Jeremy Negron Its implied that Frieza had reached his peak. He "unlocked" his latent potential. Meaning hes reached his power spike, all the training he would do from then on would not nearly as effective as the four months he just spent. Once you've exhausted your potential its starts becoming harder to get better

    • @MrJSpice777
      @MrJSpice777 Před 8 lety +27

    • @Ty17V
      @Ty17V Před 8 lety +5

      +Jeremy Negron I think it's just the fact that nobody expected Frieza to ever actually train and improve himself when he was probably born second in power only to Cooler and of course his Father (who was still also probably outclassed by Cooler.) And even then part of Buu's power wasn't the fact that he was just strong. Even Kid Buu could beaten by Buuhan. Kid Buu also had no sense of self-preservation and could instantly return to tip-top shape after being blown up, while Frieza, at best, would be half a torso floating in space. And even as strong as they were, Whis only stated that Goku and Vegeta could hang with Beerus. Could they actually beat him? Strong possibility, but I don't think we've seen Beerus go all out yet anyway, and Frieza still falls prey to the fact that he can't keep that form up until he trains even more.
      And in Gohan's defense, nobody goes Super Saiyan 2 anymore. It's either pure Super Saiyan or whatever the strongest form they have is. We'll probably never see Super Saiyan 2 again and the only chance for 3 is for Gotenks to appear, I think.

    • @Riako
      @Riako Před 8 lety +20

      +Jeremy Negron However we have to remember, they had the impression that Goku defeated Majin Buu. But he didn't. He flat out lost to him and admitted he couldn't win. We can't say he can beat Beerus because for as we know Beerus has no limit, (yet). Even at Super Saiyan God, Goku couldn't defeat Beerus.
      The only thing that could have defeated Buu was the spirit bomb because of the properties of it, and the fact that it was powerful enough that an entire planet was used to power it.... and Buu STILL managed to not only catch it but to almost push it back at Goku.
      If Frieza took this form, yes he'd be more powerful than Maijn Buu, but he would be unable to destroy him since even after being blown to atoms, Buu can just bring themselves back. What's worse is that Buu would probably just absorb Golden Frieza in response.
      Buu was dangerous not just because of their power, but because they were practically unstoppable. If someone was stronger than they were, than Buu would absorb them and continue on.
      I do hope they explain why Buu avoided Beerus in the future though.
