Villain: You know, you and I......we're more alike than you think
Hero: I AM NOTHING LIKE YOU
Villain: *Explains plans to destroy the rest of the world after they kill the hero*
Hero: *Kills villain in middle of explanation*
Lugit36 like ,totally.dontcha wish?
Lugit36 If only...
Lugit36 punisher?
Scar. Long Live The King
But wait, you forgot how it's supposed to go:
Hero: You're a monster (or other petty insult)
Hero and Villain engage in massive fight. Hero almost dies, only to rise up and kill villain.
Every villain is a hero in their own story.
Every hero is a villain amongst their enemies...
Tommy John Alamon Depend of the story.
Are you trying to recruit us to the dark side?
True, everyone has their own perspective and reasons.
Unless you're like the 4th on the list
Cause you know you're doing evil
Shut up
I'm surprised the "Related to the Main Hero" type of villain wasn't here.
chase21592 haha true
chase21592
Explain. Please, I don't know what you mean.
chase21592 They kinda did put that on the list in the form of "the Equal"
Will Miester
I was thinking that too.
Will Miester I guess that works
"In every movie" shows adventure time
Benjamin Cerna Stranger Things and Lost have also been included
Well they said from the beginning All kind of villains in pop culture that de involves movies tv shows and cartoons
9:41 Actually, Loki was more the mastermind in the first Thor movie. In the Avengers, he's more like the dragon for Thanos.
Now, let's get a Top 10 Types of Heroes That Are In Every Movie!
#3 The Anti-hero.
#1 the patriotic american hero
#2 the bad ass cop/solider
#3 the some sorta athlete who become sport champion
#4 the vigilante/anti hero
#5 the asian martial art master
#6 the superhero
Honorable mention: #TheChosenOne #The hero who loses his family #The animal protagonist
Trunkalunx The "I just happened to be here" guy
The "I just happened to be here" guy reminds me of "John Mcclane from Die hard"
In regards to the fallen hero, I'm immediately reminded of Shinobu Sensui from YuYu Hakkusho.
This is one of more captivating lists you've posted in a while, much appreciated WM!
missing "The Mad Scientist" villian
The fallen hero is the type of villain that I consider as the ultimate bad guy archetype
Zod from Man of Steel was terrifically written and acted. Very underrated in my opinion
I'd just like to point out that in the MCU, Loki was never The Mastermind. He was more of The Dragon in that case, working on Thanos's designs.
Another type of villian who think they are doing the right thing .For exmp. Ras as ghul in Batman Begins thinks Gotham city is corrupted he can only save it by destroying it . Perhaps he is amongst "The Equal" villians.
I guess he's the "terrorist" archetype in this case. A fanatical view on his own principles that he thinks is doing the right thing and his followers share his goal.
Well said.
Stain from BnHA probably
@@Keres1995
Much Thanos and the Black Order ? I wouldn't see them as terroristic villains .
I love the morally grey villian, a villain with motivations in good but going around them in the worst ways possible.
Top ten types of heroes
Top ten types of Sidekicks or
Top ten types of love interests (Cough MrsMojo Cough)
Right on.
Ana Saavedra Also top ten ways fictional characters fight.
types of heroes
10. the anti hero (punisher, the bride, Jack sparrow)
9. the Reluctant hero (Frodo baggins, John McLain, Han solo)
8. the loner hero (lone ranger, samurai jack, the hound from game of thrones)
7. the tragic hero (Anakin skywalker, Sweeney todd, ned stark)
6. the active hero ( luke skywalker, hercules, Westley from the princess bride)
5. group oriented hero (simba, green lantern, tarzan)
4.the catalyst (king arthur, Captain america)
3. the chosen one (Harry potter, po from kung-fu panda, superman, jesus)
2. the avenger (the bride, batman, Django)
1. the all loving hero (hiccup, Santa claus, professor x).
not necessarily in that order but that's a pretty good lineup I'd say.
Hercules is seeking peace after killing his wife and children, that's why he did the Ten Labours (plus two others because he cheated for the second and the fifth). He's a tragic hero.
Singeou 7 he's both. most heroes fall into multiple archetypes
The Bully is certainly the most common.
What? An actually interesting video? That's new.
Joker is the mastermind, the equal, the unhinged, the dragon, and possibly the bully to the one and only batman
Loki wasn't really a mastermind he was a pawn in the big picture
Every other villain type: _has a (sometimes complex) motive for being evil_
The beast: “mmm, hungry”
You forgot one. A form of the unhinged, the all powerful maniac. Someone with no morals or restraint, willing to use immense power to simply have fun. Example: skull kid in Majoras Mask.
My top 3
Fallen hero
Master mind
The unhinged (joker type)
I saw the mastermind and I had a feeling Loki would be there.
Brilliantly informative. Thank you.
How about Macbeth as a Fallen War Hero (in the movie adaptations)?
For the first time, I actually agree with the number one
can you do a top 10 overused story plots
Edwell John Pavia *cough* White House has fallen *cough*
I'd suggest watching their top 10 horror movie cliches, both lists of romance cliches, fantasy cliches, action movie cliches, comedy cliches, and sci fi cliches.
I would also say The Zealot and the Patriot. The Patriot is the villain who kills for the good of the heroes. EG Shepherd from Modern Warfare
You forgot one. Intelligent Powerhouse these characters have both physical, technology , and or magical power as well as intelligence perfect examples of these are Ganon, Ares, and Shao Kahn.
You CAN'T Define the Joker... he is a TOTALLY unique villain/evil.
Nah he's the pure evil villains but he's unique in his personality and his main goal
The Machine technically qualifies as the beast
Nice list ♥
So is Loki (MCU) a Mastermind or a Dragon?
(He's smart and resourceful but operates under Thanos and The Other and shows up in the beginning of the movie. He likes to make elaborate plans and let the heroes fight each other but also does the dirty work like he did in the Avengers, being the first one to come out of the portal)
Draw Back Depend from the movie that we're talking about, Thor: mastermind, Avengers: dragon
Joao Gabriel I'm talking about his current position on the throne of Asgard
Oh, ok
Glad to see Star Wars represented on this list
what about the inevitable betrayal villain? You know the guy that's a good friend the whole time and then all of a sudden is the villain at the very end. Maybe for a second list or list all on its own?
Griffith!!!!!!!
@@nickpastorino5370 fuck Griffith
I really like the Pawn type of villain. The character who is being manipulated or mind-controlled by the Mastermind. I feel like it's a subcategory of Dragon, tho
great vid!
What catagory would Voldemort fall into? Evil incarnate? Or the mastermind? Or something else?
Well, he's pretty much pure evil.
Can you do a Part 2 of this ?
*My favorite villains are the justified but questionable judgment ones. They really aren't the villains if seen from a different perspective. ex. Inspector Javert from Les Misérables, Roy Batty from Blade Runner or Francis Hummel from The Rock*
And thanos and killmonger
The sympathetic villian
Hmm that can be argued. Loki is a mastermind. But..Thanos kinda....used him too making him the mastermind of masterminds. Lex is a mastermind.
I'm here before the "you're running out of ideas" comments.
Eternal Void I've made that joke already.
Eternal Void I wasn't trolling tho
Eternal
The next day Void
you have to admit this....that was a decent video.
your vids are awesome
What about the villain who does it because it's his job like a hitman? or is that just a machine?
Will Bailey that's the machine
Punch Clock Villain
or dragon
great list! 😀
I always feel for fallen heroes cuz it's not always their fault they turn to the dark side.
Nice list Wmojo jojo.
Judge Claude Frollo appearing in the intro, wouldn't he represent yet another chilling sort of villain? The religious fanatic - whose personal justification that he's doing atrocities in the name of what he considers his god can serve as a mirror for a hero whose beliefs are generally more noble.
What about the Fool? The fool can be described as a hero who is tricked throughout most of the story to being the unwitting villain, until the remainder when they come to their senses or end up betrayed.
Misunderstanding is the villain in many movies
Awesome and cool! :D
This list is FIRE.....HELLFIRE!!!!
Isn't Loki a Dragon instead of a Mastermind? I mean, he is being used by Thanos..right?
Bullies are vengeful dragons and terrorists who become unhinged beasts through their desire to mastermind a means to be the fallen hero who has no equal and rages against the machine. Does that cover all 10?
yea nice words
The rival will always be the best villain
Great Teacher Lol looks like someone been watching thatanimesnob
I think the dragon is more appropriately termed the enforcer
This was a well done interesting list
Imagine a movie with all of these
y'all are so Awesome
Good list
The trouble with the mastermind is that they have an annoying habit of telling the hero everything they have planned when they are so close to winning.
Thanks for throwing Mandy in at 4:11. Please do Top Ten 24 Moments.
Honorable Mention: The Disease (Evil Dead, The Crazies, 28 Days Later, Cabin Fever, World War Z, etc...)
Bucky should have been listed under The Machine. His only purpose in Winter Soldier was to accomplish his mission. There was nothing else in him. And Loki should have been The Dragon, considering he was being puppeteered by Thanos and Thanos was the unseen true threat all along. Though to be honest, he fits more than one of these types.
I think Drago from HTTYD 2 is the Unhinged. As Stoick put it: men who kill without reason cannot be reasoned with. And his Bewilderbeast is quite literally the Dragon
This is....actually a good video.
More movie analisys type videos please!
nice one
Awesome
#1 Villain trope should definitely be the Magnificent Bastard.
Top Ten Anime that everyone's looking forward to
Great!
So glad they used Star Wars examples!
You should have added “the fan who wants to kill their heroes” like what they did in the incredible and Batman forever
What, and "Complete Monster" didn't become number 1?
He is a fallen hero that became a dragon only to betray the mastermind as he never saw a villain when he looked in the mirror, but an undercover hero that did what he had to to gain trust until the moment was right for his betrayal. That would be a good villain.
also, there is "The Saviour", a villain who doesn't do what he does for personal benefits or satisfaction, but for the greater good, most of this villains see the hero as a small obstacle or an important piece of their plan. Examples, SIr Leigh Teabing (the Da Vinci Code), Claude Frollo (Hunchback of Notre Dame) and Ozymandias (Watchmen)
Frollo is far from being a true "saviour"
You saved the best villain for last! Loki is yum yummy!
FYI loki is the dranon to Thanos
Rick C-134 oh boy, you don't even know
How did you forget "The Opposite"?
I watched this whole vid "knowing" what #1 was going to be but it didn't show up. Not even in the (Dis)Honorable Mentions. The Joker does what he does with next to nothing and Batman has everything. Joker is impulsive. Batman is disciplined. Joker is weak. Batman is strong. Superman has his equal, Zod, and his opposite, Lex.
Kind of a big one to miss.
In The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past, Aghnim was the servant, to the mastermind that is Ganon.
False Aghanim IS Ganon.
PLEASE TELL ME I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT MADE A VERY UNLADYLIKE NOISE WHEN THE CLIP FROM THE WINTER SOLDIER SHOWED UP
Plz do top 10 types of heros
with all the Dark Knight references, kind of missed the golden opportunity to use the "some men just want to watch the world burn" quote with the unhinged...
What about "The Delusional", villain who think they're the hero?
Great!! Then... how about Hero Archetypes for next?? PLZ~!^^;
now do top 10 types of heroes in every movie, its kinda written law that you can't do one without the other
Superman from Injustice is a great "Fallen Hero"
Kind of funny that everyone is always bashing against bullies yet no one does anything if someone gets bullied or actually some even join in. Cheers to you society
WatchMojo can do top10 Poppy's song or facts about poppy? :3
I expected the matrix trilogy for mastermind the architect
Don't forget the Mad Priest.
Best example of "the dragon" is Wyatt in prison break, that dude scared the shit out of me
#8 is the prime example of the punisher
I was gonna say Equal as #2 but WatchMojo beat me to it.
Make the top 10 character archtypes
The antihero should have at least been an honorable mention
What about the evil business man
Hey! Mojo can you please do a 311 top ten songs
They should reverse this and make classic hero archetypes
