I don't think Justin took a single breath in this whole video
That's because he fit 28 beers in that Yeti cooler. Lol
Breathing is over rated :P
@@JustinOutdoors lol
The comments. Hahaha. I had to pause a couple of times and rewind. Very informative, straight to business, loved it. Ty!
He can’t hold a candle to Ben Shapiro
I started watching backpacking videos because I am a car-camper. I found that watching tiny house videos was really useful for thinking about spaces and functionality differently in my regular-sized, not tiny house. So, I wanted to do the same for camping. I wanted to think about efficiency differently, about what I actually need differently. When you take stuff out of your house and pack it up in your car, you're downsizing and it feels so restrictive. But when you start with a backpacker's mindset, someone who already thinks differently, and suddenly you remove weight restrictions, instead of feeling limited you feel like the world just opened up. My hunch that learning about backpacking would change my car-camping game was exactly right. And I really like it when a backpacker makes a car camping video like this. It really is a unique perspective. The only problem is...now I actually want to go backpacking instead of car camping.
Lol, I did the same thing!
This is the backpacker equivalent of the VIP lounge 😎
For the price of a yeti you could get a 12v overlanding style fridge freezer. 🤷
What a lovely setting Justin! Great video.
Love your tent and sleep system.
Awesome gear list!
Great ideas! Thanks 😎👍
Justin you did it again. Another awesome video !
I think my children, grandchildren and I would enjoy playing the ladder game so thanks!
Justin with the YETI plugging I see you 😎😂
Awesome video great content
Only thing I think you need added to this is another small table that folds up like a chair for next to the love seat. Where do you put the snacks and stuff? Can't rely on the Yetti which might be used.
I really like your sleep system. The pillow pocket is enough for me to buy it. I am tired of losing my pillow at night 🤣
Great vid, Justin. For those looking for similar performance to the Yeti, check out the RTIC 52 Ultralight. You'll see similar performance to Yeti for about half the price.
I'm with you on the Indomie Mi Goreng ramen noodles!!! They're awesome!
Quite the gear set up!
I’ve been dialling in my UL gear set up for the last while but I have gotten my partner into car camping! This video was great! Love how versatile your channel is Justin. We just decided on the Marmot Limestone and considering that super comfy couch as our next purchase! Happy camping (:
Hey Justin! Went to click the thermacell repellent link and unfortunately MEC doesn’t carry it anymore ): do you have another affiliate link? Would love to buy it and support the channel! Cheers
Get a new one! 🫢
I appreciate the 88 Brewing beers. Good choice.
I should do a car camping vid and Show justin a real comfort car camping setup. Let's just say it barely fits in my half ton truck lol
One thing is having some great gear to bring, another thing is ORGANIZING all the gear so that packing/unpacking at home is quick and painless. Would love to see a video about how to organize and store the gear at home. Our last trip it took me a solid 3 hours to pack the truck and I really want to get more organized so we can load the truck in an hour or less
Man up and pack all that stuff on the great divide trail Justin!!!!!!!🤪
Just curious if you have tried the ZenBivy sleep system that seems to be getting a lot of hype these days in the social media world. Curious as to how it might compare to the Nemo sleep system that you are using here.
The best camping broder God job frend
Beware of the fire knight stove, otherwise known as the Rapter9. We have used the Cabela cooler, took it to Alaska. We broke down in ft Nelson, took 5 days until we got it back, our drinks were still cold.
Alaska is already a fridge tho
Looks decent. I spent 10k on gear to go camping with my family when I realized my solo gear doesnt really work. It was a lot of fun to have that budget.
..cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you…
Justin, wow yeah great! Buckets of car camping gear! But my favourite item of gear appears at 1:12 where you are inside the tent and you seamlessly make your shorts magically become red and black check "Rupert Bear" trousers! Can we have a video on your trousers? Please ! Please!
very cool!
That chair. A was doing a 12 car camping trip, going from national park to national park, across 5 provinces. My friend said "yeah it's cool i have chairs" and then unbenost to me loaded this 2 person chair in the vehicle. We had to share that thing for almost 2 weeks and it was sooooo annoying.
Love that stove though its slow to grill and to boil 1L i think because the burner rack sits so high above the flame.
Almost bought that propane fire pit then our fire ban was lifted
This was like watching a NASCAR driver get interviewed if he drove for REI and Backcountry. Try to work some product plugs in there buddy.
What? No Nemo pressure shower spray?? We can’t do without it, mostly for our camp kitchen. Otherwise, love your set up! And camp shoes.
Another great video @Justin! I'd love it if you had a 15-20 second outro section at the end of your video to give me a chance to like the video, before the next one starts playing.
I know what you mean.
But you can also turn that off you know??
I hate how it (yt) pushes to play the next vid! So yeah you can turn that off.
I want to know when you are getting a truck camper? Something to get you to trail head and something nice to return to.
where to get the pink spoon?
I have the same Coleman stove but with 2x regular burner. I just use an iron cast plate to grill when needed and it is much easier to clean up. However I’m wondering why use 1lb propane bottle when you already carry a 20lb tank. It environmentally wiser.
I have a bunch of partially used 1lb cannisters and no adapter yet :)
my other beer in my other coozy you're my hero, justin
I love Mi Goreng too.
you got me at the wine cup
I am new to car camping and I am not sure how to find spots, what is the name of that spot ?
As a european person I struggle to see how all of this gear fits in a normal car...haha enormous culture clash! Especially if you have kids. Also...wine from a can....ouch! On a serious note, love all your videos! Especially the wintercamping ones :)
Great point! I can't imagine a lot of car camping gear fitting in most European cars. Huge cultural difference! And my gear is relatively compact
Strapped to a a roof rack basket or as trailer basket! Those attachments help a lot.
Mr Bean would make it fit in a tiny European car.
I've never seen a car camping site that nice! Where is this site located or is that top secret?? ;)
How was the coffee?
Where are you camping at? Pretty
The only thing I disagreed with is the pillows. I have a gigantic king sized pillow that extra stuffed for comfort. That thing is a beast. Just because of space limitations, having a dedicated camping pillow makes it easier to get everything in the car. And the drift pillow is customizable. You can get a large and a regular and stuff the large with the filling from the regular and have a compressible but so comfy pillow camping.
I would take the Marmot Halo over the Nemo. Full coverage rainfly.
The Yetis are good but way overpriced. RTIC is just as good for a basic rotomolded cooler. If you want a premium rotomolded cooler then get a Rovr. I will never buy one of these coolers without wheels.
Brümate is where it’s at but RTIC is cool as well.
If you wanna get even more luxurious, as bad ass as Yeti coolers are…camp with one of those Dometic or Engel freezer/fidge coolers.
Where are you camping?
Hey Justin, have you tried the Zenbivy sleep system before? If so, how do you think it compares to the Nemo Jazz?
I have been testing the zenbivy. Similar concepts but the Jazz/Roamer is wayyyyy more comfortable. The ease of use and roominess in the Jazz puts it quite a bit above the zenbivy. The Zenbivy is going to be lighter and more compact though.
@@JustinOutdoors Thanks for the review! Either one is a pretty pricey commitment.
Nemo Ad. Thanks,
Good videos. I just hate how it's all brand brand brand and the most expensive at that.
Whooohhhh!! That was some HEAVY advertisement!!!!
Did you get all those items for free???
Justin is on full auto, if you pause the video, he will take a breath ! 😂
what shoes are those?
Crocs!
The thumb down @ 3:19 🤣
"No water in the bottom"
The stuff that got pulled out of that cooler said otherwise fam
I love mie goreng
That's a lot of water that came off those sausages for a 325$ cooler that wasn't supposed to have any water in it.
zipping sleeping bags together sounds like a good idea when with your significant other, but for sanity, keep them separate :)
You call this compact?
What are those booties you guys are wearing?
was he cuddling with 2 different women ? lol
Car camping without a Blackstone?!?!? Your missing out…
Yeah im broke tho.
Same
Isn't car camping sleeping in a car? Using a tent would be just camping no?
It's more to illustrate how you got to camp and from that, you can infer the style of camping. Lightweight minimalist vs all your heavy luxury items. Car camping, vs backpacking. Car camping is what most people would consider just "camping", because most people aren't hiking around with the entire camp on their back and are getting to the campsite in a vehicle.
So funny says no water in the yeti cooler then a few minutes later pulls up a BAG of ice when getting the dogs out. Of course there is no water the ice is bagged up. Yeti coolers suck sorry to say. They do not hold ice very long before melting.
This is just an Ad for you to click on his affiliate Amazon link. So I can’t trust anything he recommends.
I could care less if you click or buy anything
Camp table was the most interesting thing in this video, Everything else was a sales pitch of overpriced products I would never use
You must have missed the amazing chair for $60!
Eyeing the fire pit. California has fire bans more than half the year and having a campfire to lounge around with at camp changes everything!
@@JustinOutdoors no didn't miss it.
@@chovue2363 I'm not in an area like that thank God and when I have camped in those areas my Coleman 533 is enough for my food.
Cool bro
Your defo of CAR camping is not what it means your just camping as your in a tent
This isn’t car camping. This is just camping. You didn’t sleep in the car.
Used car salesman 👎🏿
Not really car camping this is normal camping
I need those pink camp slippers! I actually purchased some previously (in gray… yawn 🥱) but they were too big, sent them back and now I don’t remember what company I ordered them from. I believe they were a recommended product from one of your videos a year-ish ago. Thanks for any info you can share! Love your channel and content! Congrats you and Stephy-poo 🎉💍🎉
