Every man needs a field jacket. I wear my belstaff trailmaster a lot during the autumn/ spring and you can even wear it in winter if you layer up.

I grabbed drop-cut two tees, a Henley, and an over shirt off BYLT today. Then some white leather low tops and a long sleeve tee off banana republic (they’re crazy cheap right now $40), then a Levi’s Jean jacket. Lots of places are having fall sales right now

It’s not just her. Have you been to a store lately? Anything beyond a regular fit tends to look slovenly anyway no matter what body type you have, too.
Timeless style/fashion advice will look great in 2017, 2018, 2022, 2025 - that's what we do here.

I just can't get into the white sneakers. I think to myself, "why wear the "cleanest" part of your outfit closest to the ground/dirt/grim?" And the majority of men I see sporting them have the general vibe of trying too hard. I acknowledge that this is my own opinion and I applaud that we all have different tastes. Variety is a wonderful spice. One of the great things about style is finding something that makes you happy and helps you express yourself.
Most men tend to wear monochromatic outfits like black jacket + grey jumper + jeans or something of that sort. In such case white sneakers can add some "pop" to the outfit. However depending on climate white might not be the best option for muddy autumn / fall season. Personally I only wear white shoes during summer.
@@baze3SC Thank you for your thoughtful response. I think I'll give it another try next summer... Maybe a beach day or some other warm day where I know dirty/grime won't be an issue.

I was just thinking being short and muscular has got to be the toughest body to shop for. Now of course im not talkng about 600 lbs fix my life and the extrmes.
It really is as a 5’8” male who’s been working out for 16 years I’m in between kids and mens clothes and have a very short torso so everything basically needs to be custom
@@hexfire3037 5'8 is not really short its almost average height. The average height is 5ft 9.
I’m short muscular African American. Express Small to Medium. Always have to HEM the pants. So once you find you store you can adjust. However when I was Fat it was very difficult. 42” waist never comes in 30” length. 🤷🏾♂️🙏🏾💯✊🏿

Is there a difference between a trucker jacket and the denim jacket you've recommended in previous videos this summer?
Denim jacket is all kind jackets that made by denim (a.k.a jeans) and It's generally sorted by material of jacket. Trucker jacket is specific style of jacket that can be made by anykind material. But people gonna straight think denim trucker jacket. Because It is most popular style. Hope It helps.

I didn’t understand the overshirt part where she stated: “because they are more affordable, make sure to avoid neutral color and opt for earthy colors”. Can someone explain the reasoning? How does the price relate to the color?
I think the reasoning is this. Let's say you buy a quality leather jacket or a wool overcoat. It will cost you and you want it to stay in vogue for multiple seasons. Therefore it's wise to pick conservative colors. However with cheaper garments you have more wiggle room because when the fashion trends change it will not have cost you that much.

I guess the difference between a shirt jacket/overshirt and a chore jacket is the thickness of the fabric. Am I missing something? Do these styles suit men over 60? If not, which one(s) to avoid?
Overshirt is basically a thicker shirt that's not meant to be tucked in and is mostly worn unbuttoned. Unlike chore jacket it won't have any lining. As for whether a 60+ man can pull it off it depends on his shape, personality etc. I think jacket is the more conservative option.

I hear wide leg pants are coming back for fall.
I'm starting to move away from slim fit pants. While I don't want ultra baggy, or puddling down by my ankles, I also think it's starting to look silly when people wear tight pants that show your ankle then have a dress shirt tucked in. Looks like the clothes don't fit. And I think Slim fit with a formal outfit, especially a shirt and tie, look really silly. Believe it or not I started thinking this way after watch episodes of Friends. Remember the 90s when clothes were so much looser and more comfortable?
Fitted, not tight. Huge difference.
Something that fits will be always considered normal whereas fashion trends are about doing something different. Fashion tends to oscillate between extremes (in this case skinny vs baggy). I think the more mature you are, the more you should avoid the extremes and just go for something that flatters your body type.
Grey, navy white mixed and matches separates. No need to watch the video now. Or any of Ashley's videos because that's all they are pretty much! 😉

Wider legged trousers this year... Perhaps you're unfamiliar with how little "timeless" styles will change and then you can mix in as many "time-limited" aka Fashion pieces you want.
@@MensFashioner Wider leg pants work if you're young and tall. If you're short and in your 40s, don't wear wide leg anything, despite how they're trendy right now.

Autumn is a nicer term than fall in my opinion
The partial tuck....hhmm, yeah. It's too affected. It comes across as trying too hard. I realized this when I saw a little guy prissing around downtown, trying to work the whole stylist look. Bless his heart for trying but it just wasn't coming off well.
The fundamentals always work. Well fitted, well chosen, clean and cared for. If you want to work 'sly' cool there are some things you can do. A trucker jacket--don't turn the collar up like Fonzi or Dracula...too obvious; but if the back is turned up with the front down, like it happened by accident, that's throwing a little James Dean in there without coming across as looking like a pretentious clown. By the way a James Dean burgundy Harrington is a nod to the old school that the right people are going to appreciate. Speaking of the kool kids, if your trucker jacket is a vintage two pocket Levis they're going to know and notice. Do some hunting on Ebay. Japanese selvage is a thing but you had better have a phat bank account if you're going to go there. Oh yeah, and thrift stores are your friend if you're not made out of money. I used to cringe at this until I picked up a few pairs of Allen Edmund brogue and Oxfords like new for peanuts, also a big "E" trucker. So sock the ego and go pop some tags! ---"I passed up on the moccasins that someone's been a walkin' in............"

An elastic waistband is a big NO NO! It immediately gives the pants a jogging pants style. Something we want to avoid when we pay attention to look stylish or classy and elegant.
Joggers are increasingly considered stylish in a casual setting.
