It's about time we get full shows from James. I'm an American been watching his clips. It's amazing how much our Republicans and your Tories play from the same horrible book
It's also amazing how James is part of the same toxic process without anyone grasping it.
So you're claiming, only you see clearly, is that it?
Get a life, read a book and stop Deluding yourself!

Yeps, the Tories are copying the Banana Republican agenda. They've gone for gerrymandering a long time ago and now voter ID. They are doing the trick of naming their policies the opposite of the contents and just blatantly lie. They are in the hands of the money elites just like the Banana Republicans. The client media is an obvious thing too (= Murdoch). The culture war thing is obvious. The difference is that the UK cannot do the Supreme Court move, although I am sure they'll abolish the UK Supreme Court (they can do that because they do not have a constitution and are always one election away from a dictatorship) and move it back to the House of Lords (Law Lords I think they were called) once they have stuffed the Lords with their ideological mates.
So glad these are uploaded now 🙏🙌

The 2035 target for the last 20% of car sales is a stealth benefit to the rich, doing nothing for the rest of us. With the majority of cars being sold to low and middle class, the manufacturers will target those car models to meet that 80% target. The remaining cars will be the super expensive ones bought by the rich. So it's still a net benefit to those at the top of the wealth tree.

I'm an American living in America and I love my electric car. It cost me $10 - $15 monthly to charge from home. Gas would cost me $75 to $100. Plus my car is better than I.C.E. cars in everyway.
Whaaaaat ...? That is incredibly cheap ! Over here in Europe I pay 120 euros ( about $120) for 800 km drive. My domestic electricity bill, just light, shower, washing machine and as little heating as possible.....is 285 euro monthly.
Daughter purchased with years of savings, her first electric car after months of researching British 'best electric cars on the market'. After just 3 weeks of what seemed a unique driving experience, of luxury, quiet driving experience and looking forward to years of charging at low cost, that was until it 'packed in electrically' in a very dangerous town traffic jam, causing unbelievable chaos all round. Sent off to the British dealership for repair that was to date 7 months ago of 'working' on it and unable to locate fault. Safe to say, the years free warranty on this vehicle, at purchase, fast running out which will seriously impact her ability as a care, support worker, to continue this vital work within our community here in Scotland. All we can continue to do is hope all will be well.
My son drives a hybrid and can’t wait to go all electric, and he knows about cars engine and the like as it’s part of his job
For the time being yes, it maybe cheap for some. However when electricity demand goes up due to more people charging their cars, then the cost of electricity will also go up. There is nothing clean about EVs if you are getting power from coal fired power plants
@@arbjful I'm adding solar to my home, Then electricity wlll be free.
Ty for the upload!
Murdoch should be held to account, dreadful man who has pulled the strings of the gullible for decades. Unfortunately the ability to critically analyze the information we are fed. It's way past the point where ridiculous stories were simply laughed at and dismissed so perhaps we need to educate our children to just think about the likelihood of a particular thing actually happening.
With some people you can't win. Waist of time and energy and money. Just stay away from them and do not get involved. The problem lies with the gullible and enablers. They have to be held to account.
Teach your children not to buy any of Murdoch's or Rothermere's news.

The government down here in the U.S better be ready to help us people on social security disability and on social security to get electric cars. Right now down here electric cars are running 40,000 per car and that's just for basic cars. Nobody can afford that unless your rich.
That would be me. I think bridges are amazing; a stone bridge over a river, a arched bridge crossing a valley or a mighty suspension bridge spanning a vast bay. Lovely!

Ohh.. I'm gonna look harder longer at bridges and cranes now😂
You are right, what Rishi actually announced is next to irrelevant.
12:09 Exactly! When confronted by people who look down on me for having an interest in cars and driving, I often raise the point that I don't particularly enjoy knitting, but I don't judge people for enjoying it themselves, and I can still appreciate a well-knitted jumper, and the need to use it on a cold winter day all the same.
The final 20% would have been hybrid for the last 5 years. Now they can be fully petrol.
How much money have the Tory’s wasted on vanity projects, like boris and his bridge to Northern Ireland
As sure as I am no one will read this but I was in UKIP during 2016 and campaigned hard to for leave. The reason was we were net contributors of a around 7 billion a year which was meant to help the NHS and other industries. Trade would be ineffective as BMW etc would tell merkle to let there be free trade without freedom of movement. Also wanted to make our laws final and not the eu high court. But I was wrong and I’m not afraid to admit. I’m intelligent and my thoughts were my own but I was wrong and I’m so to the 48
Lots of people were duped, I respect the fact you can admit it
@@user-fw2pp3wm2k I don’t feel duped as I like to think I’m intelligent enough to make my own decisions and my basis for wanting to leave was my own research not the red bus with £375 million a week for the nhs. What I didn’t factor in was how the eu would negotiate. I as person always admit if I make a mistake as when I am right people truly believe you and it’s the honourable thing to do. The people I feel for are politically uneducated who didn’t really know what to vote for but were sold by things like the bus. For such a momentous decision it was decided by people who have very little understanding of politics and the EU. I think there should of been a second referendum but no option of going back in but what type of brexit we wanted
Im sure many of the crazy old ladies who appeared on question time saying how funny, charming or clever boris is were bullied into it by tory husbands, they were always caked in lots of make up and wearing hats and scarfs

The real big deal is the climb down on heat pumps.

The A-level debate is insignificant if those entrusted to deliver have no faith in the trajectory of the nation. I teach History. I have little, if anything, that explains our current trajectory. Apart from an imperial sentiment that will be totally lost on anyone under 50. Instruct me in mathematics until I am 18 if you wish. But, first, provide me with a future that I can invest in.
Of course, because the UK is imploding. I guess you have to teach what happens when empires implode... it repeatedly happens in history. Structures fall apart, people worry and lose track. It creates leaders that promiss to restore the old empire again, like Trump, Mussolini, Putin....surely that is interesting. France's empire is imploding too. They are loosing their colonies at the moment. Riots in the capital.....the rich moving to the countryside.... historically very interesting. Periods of insecurity and loss of balance or of significant historical importance !

The way i believe this is a big thing is that it is similar to the mini budget.
It destroys confidence and signals that these limits are flexible. It may lead to the believe that they can be changed again and again.
James O'brien for Primeminister, That's what I say!
You secretly want her don't you Simon... huh? Huh?? 😃👍
The problem with electric cars is once the battery dies the car is a total write off because it would cost more to replace the battery than it would to buy a new car.
That might be true for Macbooks and iPhones - but that's only because they have been deliberately engineered to make the batteries (and many other components which would be replaceable or upgradeable in equivalent products from other manufacturers) a non-replaceable component, meaning that if the battery dies and you still want a working phone or laptop, you have to buy a new one.
But so far at least, Apple doesn't make electric cars - if they did then what you claim here might be true, but they don't, so it isn't. As James often says, this isn't an opinion, this is just counting: Cost of a new electric car? Between around £30,000 and £60,000 depending on whether you go for a budget model like a Nissan Leaf, or a Tesla model Y with all the bells and whistles. Average cost of a new battery pack for an electric car? Around £5,500. So no, it quite clearly doesn't cost more to replace the battery than buying a whole new electric car. If it did, that would be ridiculous - but in this case it is ridiculous because it just isn't true.

The sooner Scotland gets out of this mad union the better

James, the issue with reducing carbon emissions from fossil fuels is, the only way to do it is to spend a load of money. Either the government or private individuals. And the government don't believe in taxing people to invest in infrastructure. The only tool they believe in is market forces. And market forces are what have got us here.
I want a cup of tea with Barbara,
I'm all for electric vehicles It's the chemistry of the batteries that I have a problem with
I'm all for electric cars in another 200 years
My two cents here. We keep focusing on those announcements forcing the market toward electric cars. I have no dog in this fight. I do agree with most that the technology is still developing at a crazy pace vs ICE (internal combustion engines) which is a mature technology. Think VHS vs BETA in the 80’s… However, nobody is looking at the impact on the energy supply side.
At this time, investments in the petrol refining side of the equation is at a all time low. In North America, there is no new investment in building refineries and actually there is minimal investment in maintaining the current installations. This will progressively impact the wallet of any bloke extending the life of his/her ICE car as the years go by. Furthermore, here in Quebec which is the North American renewable hydro-electric power house, it has been estimated that once we move toward full electrification, we’ll go from an electricity exporting province to having to import some if we don’t build new production sites, against vigorous protests from environmental groups… Major investments in the grid will have to be made too. If you add a 20kw daily consumption to most households, the current domestic distribution network is currently not able to take that load. It is already happening in old neighborhoods where house were heated by oil in winter, had 100A set-ups which now will need 250A to cope with electric heating and car charging. That a 150% increase per house…
keep going

The EU have 2035 as the 100% ev car production date . We are just realizing it makes more sense to mirror the EU rules..
