Nice job, Fellas! I think that is a fantastic guitar for $184. A home run for sure! These are very capable little guitars, and a guy like Da, who knows how to play, can rock out with one of these guys. Nothing super sexy about it. No frills. Just a good, basic instrument. Would be one heck of a starter guitar for someone. In fact, I began learning on an Epi Les Paul Special. It was great. Very playable. But these are just a step up. Great vid!
I was thinking of one of these the other day. I ended up ordering a Blackstar 100 Amp instead. I'm glad you did this video. Now I need one. Lol. Thanks again guys🙂
Thanks very much as always for watching and for your kind comments. I think the Blackstar 100 is probably a better addition to your channel, but the guitar is pretty nice especially for $184 😉👍!
Hi Leo, I think you got a heckava good deal on this guitar. I just got one and love it. You can hardly get an EPI Les Paul Special II for the same money and this guitar plays better in my opinion although the pickups may be the same. Great playing by Dan as usual. Thanks guys!
I'd say you guys got your money's worth. It sounds really good. It's hard for me to find anything that's worth keeping for that kind of cash. Always great to listen! Thanks Leo and Dan. Wish us luck over here in Florida... Hurricane Ian is giving us a hard time right now!
Thanks very much Marky for watching and for your kind comments as always. It's pretty easy to find great deals on musiciansfriend.com. I just search for "used solid body guitars " and then filter the price from $50-$100, and I can usually find a good one. I just got a Schecter Omen 6 in great condition for $99 😉👍!
Hey fellas! Got a chance to stop in and check on the boys from Texas! Seems like a decent guitar, but something about a “bolt on” LP that just gives me the “willies”…I don’t know…probably just me 😂. Had a EPI LP back in the late 90’s (set neck) Standard…never could really bond with it. Gave it to my youngest son. I think it was around $500 when I bought it. For less than half that price, I think the FF and the Monoprice 66 DLX models beat it hands down. I know this is their “lower” end model, and for what you paid seems pretty good but still believe there are better values out there currently. All the best, and thanks for the video! 👍
Thanks very much for watching Jimmy and for your kind comments, yeah there are better options out there for certain. This one ended up being sent back because other than the problem with the switch, the neck had about a four inch crack in it as well 😉👍!
Thanks very much Russ for watching and for your kind comments as always, actually this guitar was brand new, but possibly a demo model. They sell new for $299 on Amazon. I thought it sounded really nice 😉👍!
I own one of these from 1994...back then made in Korea...it´s one of my favorite Guitars....much better than the entry-level badge suggests. Great playing btw.... Greetings from Krautland!
Thanks very much for watching Christian, and for your kind comments. I gave this one to my 18 year old son Patrick, along with a couple of other guitars for Christmas 🎄 😉👍!
I have that exact same model from 2010 the serial number could not find it either but i know it is from a "no name" certified factory that does make official epiphone guitars, or well at least used to. I don't really know if they are still active but their quality was pretty good some say it was the golden time of chinese epiphones
Thanks very much Doty2u for watching and for your kind words. I hope you are enjoying your guitar, I actually gave this guitar ( and 3 others) to my son Patrick for Christmas 🎄. I know he enjoys them 😉👍🏻!
Hi Leo & Dan 😏 I play the same LP100, in a Vintage Sunburst style : great cheep guitar ! I love your sound Dan 👍 🎸: can you tell me the brand of amp and any pedals you used in this great video ? Thank for your job Guys !
Thanks very much, Claude, for watching and for your kind comments and questions. We are (in this video) using a Fender Mustang GT 100w modeling amp, and we're using the patch called Boosted Brit. We haven't modified the patch in any way and the sound is just raw what's in the room. No DAW, not mic'ed up or anything like that. We have recently changed the amp to a Fender Mustang LT25 that we have recreated the Boosted Brit patch. We hope this helps you out 😉👍!
Hello, my friend, Leo here, I am the one who purchased this and all of the guitars we review, except those from Dan's personal collection. First off, thank you for watching, and in answer to your question, I purchased it on musiciansfriend.com for $100. I think . I did a search for used Les Paul guitars, and then filterd the price from $50-$100, and this one came up. I of course had to pay tax and shipping costs 😎👍!
Thanks very much Corey for watching and for your kind comments. Dan never had the guitar. I (Leo) purchase all the guitars we review, and I gave this one to my son Patrick as one of his Christmas gifts a couple of years back. We're no longer reviewing guitars. After 7 years and over 45 thousand dollars in purchases I found myself drowning in debt 🙃. Dan doesn't have Instagram.
Lovely playing - I picked up this Epi locally 2nd hand for $100 - Australia - great value even if it isn't my dream Les Paul !
We thank you for watching, and hope you enjoy your new (to you) guitar 🎸 🎃👍!

Phew! Lots O' bubble wrap! Lol! My nephew had an Epi 100 years ago, nice little guitar! Those 650 and 700T humbuckers are nice pickups! 😎🎸
Well, we must protect Les Pauls! Thanks for watching Lespaul13100 😉👍!

Hi Dan how did you get this guitar for that low of price? Was it local I assume? Thank you!

It's nice that you don't have to spend a fortune to get a decent guitar. Thanks for the video!👍😎🎸🎶
Thanks very much Dartman for watching and yes it is 😉👍!
@@leodanryan966 yep!
Where did you buy this Guitar from?
I purchased it on musiciansfriend.com used for about $100.
@@leodanryan966 189.00 now.
Read the serial number!
The first two numbers are the year made!
Mine starts with 13, meaning it was made in 2013! 97 would be 1997 😎🎸🎶☮️
Thanks for the information. I was unaware of this until now 😉👍!
Hello
So Dan Ryan do you still have that guitar? It’s nice
And do you have Instagram
