Thank you for a wonderful review. You did a a very through review.
I also wanted to mention that there is a new size coming out for all products that measure 324mm to 328mm (12.75 inches) for the newer larger albums that have come out lately. I've also had customers ask for slightly different changes to some products and you will see those shortly.
Regarding glue strips, the manufacturing of glue strips is terribly temperamental, even weather during shipping can effect the bonding. For that reason I highly recommend the single tuckable flap version. It gives you a cleaner finish on the back and you never have a glue strip to deal with. I also encourage customers to reach out to me with any quality issues, so I can resolve any problems, since the designs are complicated for high speed machinery, there can be some small issues, though it's rare.
Mint sleeves is slowly adding more products, but it takes time, as I keep creating new products. Please email them about which products you'd like to see made available.
    Once again, thanks. Mike

Hello Mike, thanks for getting back to me. I love your products they are one of the best. Would love to order via mint sleeves so for they have all the products I need but I need to order over 150 Euro to safe me 30 Euro shipping. Often I don’t need to have so many products at once. Therefore I’m not ordering at the moment till I have enough material I need. May we get a distributor in Germany someday. Congratulations on your great products 👍

Thank you for this video….I’m from the U.K. and just started using VSS from Mint Sleeves. Though the selection is limited I’m very impressed with it so far and I do not have to suffer very expensive carriage from across the pond. Also, When postage is as much as the vinyl purchased from the US gave me another reason why I stopped buying….

I’ve used spin care resealable poly sleeves. They state they can take double albums and gatefolds, they do not. They also split easy. Overall a very frustrating experience. I now use mofi inner and resealable duel pocket outer sleeves. I got them online from Mint and I’m pleased with them. I use them mostly for the vinyl that doesn’t come factory sealed

    Great Video !!!
I also use for quite some time the VSS sleeves ... my favorite is the dual pocket one flat resealble ... like the ones you have showned in your video ...
but what i do istake off the glue stripe completely ... and then i just fold the "flap" inside the sleeve ...
Vinyl Storage Solutions also has the dual pocket with "tuckable" flap ... but (at least for me) that flap is too big to fold in ... so i rather get the resealable and use it as a "tuckable" with a shorter flap .... eheheh
i also love Vinyl Storage Solutions gatefold sleeves ...
they are perfect !!!! right size ...
but have you ever tried SPINCARE new gatefold CRYSTAL line ???!!!
    they are pretty good ...
and a bit cheaper (i guess)...
they dont have the side "flaps" but .... they look clear like VSS ....
well size wise ... i thing it could have half cm less ... as in most gatefold records there's a half cm excess ... but thats not a huge deal !!! ;)
i think SPINCARE CRYSTAL gatefold are something to try ... i believe 50 gatefold sleeves are around 20 euros !!!
    I
    nner sleeves ...
i do like Mofi style inner sleeves ... and here too SPINCARE as inner sleeves "Mofi inspired" ... ehehe ... its call AUDIOPHILE Archival inner sleeves ... they look and feel like the Mofi's ... but they dont have any words, printed ... they are completely clear (with the rice paper) ... and i love that ... cause i don’t like to see ... little arrows or brand names printed in the inner sleeves ... and Spincare ... doesnt have anything printed in it ... and i just love that !!
    ...
    right now ...
    i use
Vinyl Storage Solutions dual pack one flap resealable ... for my "normal" LP
Vinyl Storage Solutions gatefold with two flaps ... for my favorite / special gatefold albuns
SPINCARE CRYSTAL gatefold for regular gatefold albuns ....
cause right now it seems EVERY new Vinyl album is gatefold !!! lol
Spincare Audiophile Archival Inner Sleeves ... as my inner sleeves
    ;)
i really like your videos ... keep up the good work !!!
    Thanks for sharing ...
    Greetings from PORTUGAL

@@Souldisco be aware ... for what i see they right now have 2 styles of Gatefold sleeves for their CRYSTAL line ... i am talking the one that let us open the gatefold, it seems they now have too a "new" version that is only one "pocket" sized to gatefolds ....
what i use is the version that looks like the VSS gatefold sleeves, but without the flaps on the sides !!!!

I have just watched your great informative video. I am using polyethylene inner and outer sleeves, but I am still worried about fogging effect. I am wondering if someone should let the one side open in order to circulate air and protect the record from chemical degradations. I am hesitant of protecting the records with totall sealing. Is what I am saying correct from you experience? Thanks!

    • @Souldisco
      @Souldisco  Před rokem +1

Thanks for watching. With the outer sleeves I’m using the cover is protected. There is no problem with the record because it is keep in the second pocket of the outer sleeve therefore no problem with air. I would recommend you the Mofi inner sleeves they are the best. On the market are by now many products who have the same quality but are cheaper. For example the once’s I’m using from vinyl storage solution. Hope this helps

@@Souldisco thanks a lot for the answer. However I usually put the record inside a nagaoka sleeve, then I put these inside the cover and then all of these in the external sleeve. I think most people use the same way. And to protect the record from dust I put the inner sleeve inside the cover in such way that you have to pull it out in order to take the record. And now I am concerned of what is most dangerous, dust or no air circulation (so perhaps chemical reactions ect.. ) . All the sleeves I use are HDPE.
