That’s a nice size monitor for the Nintendo Switch
looks cool
Hey. Can those big Hori branded joy cons fit or not?
Can you attach some third-party joycon (pro type) replacements to the screen?
does it work if you set the switch output to 720p?
All it needs now is a massive G-STORY external cooling fan attachment to keep everything cool
Does it use the FLATtop or the BUTTONtop batteries?
Its posible to use it on v1?
Considering the price of the g story and then to pay for those special batteries it’s quite pricey.
Looking at this thing, the bezels are really what bothers me about it. It's practically 2 inches of space that would have been nice if they could have used for more screen. The 1 1/2 hours of screen on rechargeable batteries is pretty underwhelming. I think this would be good for somebody with aging eyes or poor vision, but with as close as you can hold the switch to your face when playing I don't think the extra 4 inches here makes a difference if you're not really seeing more.
I'd personally use it exclusively for tabletop mode with my pro controller. Thankfully, we can just power it with a USB C instead of relying on batteries.
Can you leave the x2 18650 batteries in the screen and charge them whilst plugged into power supply, or do you have to remove the batteries and charge them externally?
I see you have to take them out to charge them at end of video, such a shame they have to be charged externally 😔
Yeah, sadly yes. You must use charger
can't run metroid prime
I just got one for my old nonOLED switch. It's certainly a bigger screen. The whole set up is slightly janky. Sometimes the screen remains black/ no input when you slot in the switch and you have to try out the switch power, the gstory power etc. Like you, sometimes there is a delay for the controllers to be recognized. It seems that the controller aren't being charged. The volume control is a bit weird, and the levels seem very high - I'm using volume level 1 (out of 100). I got free batteries from my seller, which was nice. I didn't find out until I tried to put my own in.
I think I managed to get the hang of the volume and brightness controls. I'm still not sure how to switch it on and off though, usually I have to power the screen on then unplug the switch, make sure its on and then plug it back in. The controllers don't seem to charge whilst all connected, so that is a bit annoying. But all in all for a screen upgrade to an old nonOLED switch, I think it's worthwhile if you can get it cheap (it's about 120usd on aliexpress at the moment, I paid a bit more).
No offense but breathe through your nose
For asmr lovers it’s not a bother at all lol maybe turn your headphones down. mtg is the best!
It's just healthier to breathe through your nose lol
Hopefully, we will see an Oled model like this someday. I love my Switch OLED, but i want docked performance as well.
Yep this is not OLED, but docked performance is actually enabled cause this is behaving as a dock as well.
When you put a switch in a dock, isn't there some extra hardware in the dock that helps boost the performance to help with the higher resolution and extra graphics? Doesn't seem like something like this would have that and it just tricks the switch into thinking its in a dock, and maybe the game performance would suffer?
Are there headphone jacks on this?
