good short pip players are a nightmare to play against. It's like playing against thick Wall that returns back everything you throw at with even more ferocity!

Jiang Jialiang 's footwork is wonderful.

I wouldn´t say only his footwork but his overall quickness is amazing. His reaction time is just insane.
Look at 5:03, he reacts to a flip by Mazunov! Who else can counter a forehand flip over the table?
Waldner once said Jiang was the quickest player in the history of the game.

    動いてフォアで連打していく能力がめちゃ高い。そこが素敵に見える。現代卓球では退化してしまったところかもしれないですね。そんな卓球やる人出てこないですかね。

Thank you for this video. What's the meaning of no rpb? Have you any video of Ox short pips champions?

+daniele giorcelli I don´t have any OX pips players video, sorry.
No RPB (reverse penhold backhand) means these players do not use an inverted rubber in their backhand, like Liu Guoliang used to do.

The best Chinese sp players started losing more and more to Chinese inverted players (penhold and shakehand), and the old balls were very hard and fast which made sp block and smash and angle very effective.
Once Chinse coaches felt sp penhold was proving to be practicably weaker than inverted, they stopped encouraging youngsters in it.
