This is why I often hesitate hiring friends. Knowing someone personally and knowing someone professionally are often two very different situations.
The quickest way to lose a friend is to have them do work on your home.
I have even tried getting referrals from friends on which professionals are reliable. Every time it has been a sucky experience. I don't ask for advice anymore. I wing it.
As soon as Gianni brought in the new stove you could tell there's no way it was going to fit.

Loves how Ray often takes the time to comes up with these creative or unusual nicknames for his wife. The fact that Debra barely bats her eyes over this show she is used to this.

I began to think Gianni don't have a local license to do the work. The new stove that he is setting did not fit. He didn't measure it first. He try to do the Robert and Amy's kitchen. He left the sink busted.
Gianni claimed to be a licensed and bonded contractor, insisting that Frank was a "Home Depot Groupie." A true contractor would have focused on the job at hand, not take on multiple jobs by himself, like he did with Ray and Debra, as well as Robert and Amy, not to mention constantly bringing his portable TV to work EVERYDAY. You hit the point in an earlier post, Jonathan. He was Lazy.

Him behaving that way is ridiculous, especially in an industry where you’re not paid by the hour but rather by the job.
So it would be better that he is watching TV in their kitchen when hes supposed to be working if he's paid by the hour?

@@mikep3813 better? No, but it would at least make sense, he’s running the clock. Run the clock, take longer, make more money. Slime ball logic but logic just the same. When you’re getting paid by the job the longer you take the less money you make, so if conceivably he’s a functioning adult and this is his livelihood he should be trying to accomplish the job sooner. Or if he’s waiting on parts to be over working on another job. I’m saying the storyline is a little bogus.
That why you typically see contractors called out for shoddy work, cause they’re rushing to finish and get to the next job.

When I am not styling women’s and men’s hair I am a landlord and I would never rent either of my properties to my friends. If they can’t pay rent to the point that I have to evict them that would ruin the friendship. Also confronting them about it would be hard because I would have to be a little less blunt than I would be with tenants I have a landlord tenant relationship with

Debra was a bully. It’s easy for her to push Ray around because he’s weak and spineless, but she’s too scared to get her hands dirty with other people. Look at Rays family, she hates how they are and she always expects Ray to fight her battles.

Debra hates everyone. She hates her husband, her In-laws, and herself. This show is the first popular show in television that has the mom emasculate her husband, complain about her in-laws for helping her, and is a constant b*** in a bad mood. Poor Debra.
You either haven't watched the show at all, or you are godamn delusional if you think Marie is helping her at all. I'd rather be around Frank than Marie any day if the week. I'd take someone that unbuckles thier pants on my couch and says funny shit than someone who constantly criticises on how someone should be raising their kids, how they should cook and how they should clean. Deb is someone other than Marie that is able to make ray happy and be there for him and Marie jas never been able to deal with it, she's always wanted ray to herself

Well yeah volunteering is nice, but thays only because it gives her a chance to criticise her even more, majority of the time when deb comes home she's met with criticism from Marie on what she's doing wrong with the kids. Who is Marie to tell someone how to raise their kids anyway. I'd rather pay a babysitter that just does their job and doesn't put their two cents in every time than a mother in law that makes my life hell every day. If there is any lack of self esteem in deb it's because Marie is the cause of it. And it's sad because even if they weren't living across the street from them she'd still make the trip no matter how long to just barge in whenever she wants like she does every day. I mean for gods sake she's walked in on amy and robert having sex and labelling her as a slut just because she's doing it without marrying him. Not exactly those words but she's gone to that conclusion.
