I mean what else do you want? He is paying for his crimes. He went through the legal system and was charged and people now know what he’s done. His name is forever attached to what he did. What else do you want him to do?
I don't think this is being explained well. He has never changed his story, that he is only guilty of sending texts. Which is what he plead guilty to, and what apparently the investigation also confirmed. This is the child endangerment charge that he has.
It also fails to understand how truly hard the legal system can be to deal with. There are many who plead guilty because of that. Lawyers will often give this advice because fighting it out is just too expensive and emotionally draining. Sometimes, sadly, our system makes it better to plead guilty than to try to fight to prove your innocence. Pleading guilty isn't always proof that they someone is guilty. Sometimes it's just the better option when you look at the system. I knew someone who did just this. He pled guilty because he just couldn't fight it out due to money, time, and the emotional drain. He regretted it a lot because he admitted it created a whole different set of problems. But he also admitted that he would do it again because his finances still made it the only real option.

For Josh-Drake was a co worker for Drake (I believe) that Josh was way more than that….Drake had just gone through hell to catch his dream so i think the whole show but specially Josh was one of the good reasons that helped him keep going…
To be fair he’s been saying that recount of the story since it first happened. It’s just that no one wanted to believe him and the rumor that he scaped to mexico was more enticing
I think a lot of ppl don’t realize that in many court cases to avoid excessive costs or punishments you sometimes have to settle and take the best offer given to you. There are a lot of innocent people serving sentences or charged with crimes they’re not actually guilty of for one reason or another. It was never proven in court that Drake was guilty of SA, the girl accusing him also had no proof of it. If the photos had been produced by the subpoenas, Drake would have been fully charged. Seems to me like the dude got cancelled so hardcore when the media ran with the SA headlines, that were technically not true, and he just took the L and moved on with his life, which I don’t blame him after what he’s been thru. I will also say, I don’t know the guy and we ultimately don’t know if he actually did what he was accused of as well, but it’s not a very strong case when you can’t produce the photos he supposedly sent and you have your own friends and witnesses denying that your claims even took place. I can give benefit of the doubt to both parties, but to just say that Drake’s now “lying” and “going back on what he pleaded guilty to”, he’s actually not? He said yes he engaged in conversation with her and supposedly didn’t know her age, he admitted to that already, and that’s what he was charged with. He’s standing firm that he never SA’d her or sent her photos, which c’mon. In this digital age and there’s no photo evidence she could use in her case? Seems like there were actually no photos to begin with.
@@spacewaste2459 Not saying he’s innocent, I’m saying he’s deserving of getting the benefit of doubt due to the evidence presented in the case. But who knows, cause there’s also a lot of guilty people with no evidence for their crimes. 🤷🏻♀️

It is of a Video: DRAKE BELL SE ABRE SOBRE SUS ACUSACIONES FALSAS POR QUÉ SE DECLARO CULPABLE A UN DELITO It's from an interview a year ago. At minute 8:20 of that video your blood is going to freeze, it's from a year ago! before telling everything in the documentary!
The 360 people did on Drake is fucking crazy man, and I don’t mean that in a bad way I’m glad he’s getting a story he is a victim, but that people that didn’t believe him or were shutting him out because he was bad for their “career “and now wanting to support his documentary is low-key disheartening
My friend was involved with Drake Bell several years ago, actually. He was in my town, she commented on his tweet, and he DM'd her to meet up. She was 18 at the time (she looked a LOT younger than she was tbh). He was almost 30 at the time. I genuinely was not shocked about the charges brought up against him. As a public figure, I feel like it's not appropriate to get involved with your fans that are 10+ years younger than you. Even if the girl in question WAS lying, he has a responsibility to check her ID before getting too involved. He has a mountain of other accusations against him (verbal, physical abuse) as well, so at this point, there's really no excuse for his behavior.
It’s a perverted spirit. Not trying to take the blame off themselves but this stems from the devil works through many ways and one big one is perversion and lust
@@kyanna13 so what? 19 is definitely a legal adult able to consent, and if he's dating a girl he's known from when she was 16 doesn't mean he did something to her at that age, stop spreading rumors you can't prove, I'm sure you wouldn't like something like that done to you.
I think it's important to hear what Drake Bell has to say, he was a victim. At the same time, he hurt a kid and I don't really think he deserves a redemption. Being a victim and shit human being are not mutually exclusive at all.
He just told you he was guilty of inappropriate conversations with someone he thought was of legal age. He took accountability for that. He also didn’t have to register as a sex offended for it. So…What did he do that was so terrible in your mind that he can’t be redeemed for???
Drake plead guilty to "one count each of attempted child endangerment and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles after exchanging texts with a minor" so I am not sure what he is saying he pled guilty to that was not true since he only admitted to texting inappropriate things. I just want to say that what Drake went through was HORRIFIC and I can't even imagine having to deal with that and being on a TV show as a minor! The lines can get really blurry about what is appropriate between adults and minors after enduing all that. I think Drake has come out of it all amazingly well! Brian Peck should have been put in jail for 20 years for what he did! I hope Drake continues to talk and heal from everything.
It’s the fact that so many people are talking about he has a victim but how? He never violated that girl. She lied and I think she should’ve faced consequences. And get possible prison time when she came of age, for lying because he could’ve went to prison an innocent man. Lies like that clearly ruin reputations so she knew exactly what she was doing by lying on him
How is this any different than James Charles? As a celebrity, you should be 100% sure that you're talking to an adult. Drake should have verified with an ID or something.
@@youllbemytourniquet she catfished him and lied about her age… so yea it’s a big difference. Do you ask every adult person you talk to on the internet for their id? Fact is he found out the truth and avoided the girl. He’s innocent period
"Clear his name"? Quiet on Set is not about Drake clearing his name. Did you watch it at all? He talked about being groomed and horribly SA'd by Brian Peck. If anything, it just proves that SA survivors often go on to repeat the cycle... @@THISandTHISandTHAT exactly. If anything, it made me MORE angry at Brian Peck and Dan Schneider, because they literally created a monster. Teen Drake deserved a better chance.
Ryan Beard has a great video about this. What happened to Drake is horrible. What he did is also horrible. Also, this wasn’t a girl who he didn’t know and had no idea how old she was. In court his lawyer says the reason they were talking is because she was a family friend that he had known for years.
He’s trying so hard to use this to try n make people forget what he did. No Drake. You are just a victim who made another victim. A story old as time and makes sense by statistics. You’re not getting your career back
this is what i was saying!! i was like i feel like his team made him tell this story to get good in the public eye again in hopes everyone would forget about the things he’s done. he can be a victim but also be responsible for what he did. there are also other ways to relight your career
Do you even know what actually happened? Did you watch the trial? Or do you just read stuff on the comments section and just assume the worst of him? 🤡
Those two don't have anything to do with each other. If he thinks that Drake and him were never friends then why does him coming out as a CSA victim change anything? To Josh, he was just a co-worker. You don't suddenly become childhood best friends with your co-worker just cos you found out something bad happened to them.
@@frankisbored they are right. it's not first grade where everyone you meet is a friend. they were coworkers. it's unfortunate what happened but trauma doesn't automatically make you friends. Josh isn't a jerk because he told the truth. why would he want someone charged for anything against children around his child?
also drake stood against a man who plead not guilty he probably didnt want the girl to feel like he did aand tried to take the most accountability he could.
It's not uncommon for victims to also commit heinous crimes themselves. I mean, there's countless serial killers who grew up in abusive households. You can feel bad for them but also should remember that they're not some innocent puppy that got their tail stepped on.
drake is a victim of horrific things, however sometimes victims do sadly go on to abuse others instead of working through processing their own trauma. i dont even know what happened with the girl, but i have heard the things his exes said he did to them and i believe it fully and entirely. i hope for his wife and childs sake that he truly has been and is still putting in the work to himself
spill i usually love your videos and im never the one to victim blame but the spread of misinformation is crazy in this vid. he didn’t suddenly try to “rewrite the past” its been a known thing that the girl lied about her age. he plead guilty because he WAS texting her but never got physical.
I feel like the spotlight on Drake Bell in this situation could be a great asset for others to break these cycles. Had he not spoken up and been able to advocate for himself properly, his harmful acts would have had the perfect environment to progress just like what was done to him. Since so many predators do begin this cycle as a victim unfortunately, I really hope his honesty and openness on this topic can help others speak out before they have an opportunity to hurt anyone.
I'm sorry that he is a victim, not sorry that he had to create another one. It's very odd to me how people want to forget that now all of a sudden. And of course he's going to completely down play what he is guilty of.
Did you even listen to the interview? He’s not down playing anything, there is no proof he did anything wrong except talking to her before realizing she was underage. Nobody has forgotten, but social media (and people like you) keep trying to put him in a negative light. He didn’t create a victim, she made herself a victim. You’re gross.
@@ashlynm8049 WoW I'm gross!? You're weird! Keep sticking up for him and victim blaming. He admitted he continued to inappropriately talk to her after he knew her real age.
I never watched these shows. I was in my 20s when they came out. My opinion of Josh as an adult is that he’s a real douche. Just my opinion. He gives me odd vibes.
I think it’s important for people to watch the full court room video. What he said in this interview isn’t really that different than what was said before. He always admitted to having conversations he shouldn’t have and THEN found out she was a minor. He’s always denied any sort of physical interaction
I just don't trust him. Like what happened to him was awful but that doesn't mean he gets a free pass. Like he pled guilty to the messages and child endangerment and without a fight. And an ex of his had accused him before of abuse and being inappropriate around minors. And the incident with the girl was happening while he was MARRIED, where there's smoke is likely a fire.
There's another interview. He did before the documentary ever came out like maybe a year ago I don't know but it gives more detail and what happened with these charges.
People are making it seem like Drake actually touched young girls, but that wasn't the case at all. If you read or even look into the court case, you can see. But no matter what, people don't want to see the truth, Drake was a victim.
Drake still skeeves me out so much. He needs to stop trying to use this whole horrific situation to try to rehabilitate his image. It's horrific what happened to him, but it’s also disgusting for him to weaponize his survivor status to deflect from his own actions.
Idk I feel like if he really didn’t do it, as a survivor of CSA, he would want to clear his name. Not plead guilty. He can say finances, family, whatever… he reeks to me. I feel horrible for him, as much as I feel horrible for my own abuser who was abused.
I feel so so horrible for drake because he deserves better then Josh who didn't even stick up for him and that's not really a good friend to do. I don't really care if Josh's career gets ruined! He should know better then this!
They obviously weren’t that close of friends and Josh can decide who he wants to be friends with. Better than talking to 12 year old girls as an adult. I personally wouldn’t want to be friends with someone like that either weirdo
His past? He didn’t do anything wrong. A minor was pretending to be of age and fooled him and once he found out and stopped talking to her, she press charges.
Two things can be true. Drake can be a victim and still hurt others. This doesn’t excuse his actions but as someone who is a criminal justice major in college, it’s not uncommon to see people plead guilty to something they didn’t do to avoid more major consequences or to get a shorter sentence. So it is possible that he didn’t do some of the things he was accused of, and only plead guilty to avoid going to prison. Either way, It’s important to hear ALL victims out.
I think we should cut him some slack. Victims that go through trauma like Drake did tend to make bad decisions themselves. Instead it should be taught what is wrong and what is right to someone who doesn’t know better
It’s a huge red flag he’s trying to manipulate the narrative now that he has some public sympathy. I think we can have sympathy for what he experienced as a child, and also continue to hold him accountable as an adult. We need to think of his victim as well, and not invalidate that experience. No one should be defending him from these allegations. Is the whole point not to stand with victims?
The fact that Drake was assaulted as a minor, can definitely play into his actions as he gets older. That’s how he learned what “love” and “trust” was, and repeating the cycle is common. Regardless accountability should be withheld, but I do feel for him and his past.
Please don’t ask nick stars who’ve been around Dan who haven’t spoke out yet about their experience. You might be asking them to share their deepest trauma, and being asked in mass can be triggering.
Drake’s own lawyer during court admitted that Drake had known the girl for years and that after she said her age he told her to “hurry up” and turn 18. Quit defending predatory behavior.
tbh i dunno how to feel about drake basically saying he pled guilty bc of personal reasons. while yes, i understand why, at the same time, it doesn’t sit right. i’m not sure what to think. i think drake will have to sit down and talk about it on a real level.. idk at the same time bc it was a court case n stuff.
His whole sentencing is in Law&Crime CZcams. You can tell SOME of the things the girl accused him off was made up. Specifically, if they were true, the prosecution would had filed additional charges. He was only charged for txt and contacting a minor. Definitely it’s worth to watch.
watch the sentencing hearing and watch him laugh and mock that victim that he did (even if he didn't believe he did) send inappropriate messages to. i feel bad for the child that he was not the adult he became. r kelley also was abused as a child but it doesn’t make what he did right. i refuse to let him backtrack on what he was charged and pleaded guilty to. johnny depp found his innocence in court, if drake was innocent he would have fought it to the nth degree.
the most true crime cases ive researched the predators have rough childhoods. i think better children rights could decrease a lot of bad consequences in humanity
If you read the court documents you see it wasn’t completely black and white. He did a horrible thing talking to that minor but he did block her as soon as he found out her real age. The minor then proceeded to stalk him and show up at his shows.
One of the victims (with permission) shared all the direct messages she got from Drake’s exes and his other victims. Once you read those it’s clear that all the victims are telling the truth. We can acknowledge what happened to Drake is what made him the way he is, but we can’t pretend it’s not true.
hurt people do hurt people, and frankly yeah hes a victim but he's also created victims (allegedly). This should ALL be talked about otherwise the cycle gets repeated...
Sending hate to the girl he abused is absolutely disgusting. You are no better than the adults who covered up the abuse at Nick if you are doing this. Is the whole point not to hear victims? Do y’all not realize how traumatizing it is for your abuser to regain control of the narrative that they didn’t abuse you, and you made it up, and then to have half the internet on board, and harassing her for it?! Seriously horrific behavior, you should be ashamed of that.

He’s been saying this since the Mexico rumor. But tbh I feel like there’s something to those allegations. Watching that video of their court hearing & seeing her speak was very believable. Ntm he’s recently admitted to being bad with his ex who accused him of abuse…plus they met when she was under 18. Then girls went to that ex sharing that he had SA’d them as minors. Idk it’s a rough subject. But I don’t want to just dismiss them. It’s not easy to prove these things in court
5:04 people know that’s an EXTREMELY common reason people plead guilty, right? It doesn’t mean he’s actually guilty…. Some people just wanna get it over with and move on. It’s not an automatic truth.
As I thought. If he fought the case it would’ve bankrupt him. Yes I know it’s a nasty charge but do you want to be broke just to maybe and I mean maybe get the chance to clear your name. I’d take the guilt charge too.
What he went through was horrible but we can't just ignore that because he's done some questionable stuff. In my mind, he done his time and people can't change and grow if not given the chance.
It felt icky seeing Drake discuss his experienceso somber without his own abuse of a minor being mentioned or acknowledged at all. I understand how hard it is to come out with your story and as everyone has said, two things can be true at once. But Drake was also (from what I've heard and read) was the only one who got any justice from his abuser and to have his own victim. I think that's worth mentioning. I can't imagine being that girl seeing everyone give him so much vindication while people call her a liar even in these comments.
It’s not surprising how he decided to change the story because he was so quick to villainies josh even though they haven’t been close for years but is now saying that he’s fine with him. He was angry at him for nothing. He’s the type that is going to blame everybody else and not see anything wrong in his own behavior. @@ll2323 he’s basically trying to say that dming that girl is the only wrong thing that happened but even with that he’s saying that he wouldn’t plead guilty if he had money. It could be that the rest of the evidence hes claiming is false but it could also be true. But if he’s admitting to doing something wrong why wouldn’t he plead guilty even if he had money to maybe get rid of some of the false evidence. And because he’s able to finally be seem as the victim in what happened to him as a child he’s trying to make it seem like even though he very clearly did something wrong with that girl and there could be others he’s trying to make it seem like he’s the victim in that case also. Which he’s not he did something wrong but because he’s trying to rehab his image he’s trying to change his role in that story and that’s not how that works.
I say we wont know if hes innocent for many years but at this point hes guilty ans he has done what he has to and it seems like rhis was a wake up call for him. And what ever he may or may not have been doing made him change for the better and if thats what he does then we need to acknowledge this and encourage him to be the voice that helps get these people taken off sets and helps to find a better solution for child actors. Because its grooming and abuse that makes a person not realize they shouldn’t talk to kids. Its not an excuse, its an explanation.

If/when you're ready to seek help, personally I found that PTSD/trauma focused therapy workbooks helped me a lot, especially ones focused on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I know in-person therapy isn't easily accessible everywhere, but it's possible to find legit workbooks online written by PhDs in the field. It's something you have to be emotionally prepared for though, because the more in-depth/intense therapy work can be quite triggering and is meant to be done with a therapist's guidance.
Feel free to totally disregard that If you're not ready for that, though. Therapy is effective but it's a lot of emotional labour - sometimes we just need some time to heal before we can think about any of that stuff 💝

I think that their memories of each other are very different….
Let’s also remember that the girls aunt who was with her at every show confirmed that the girl LIED under oath and lied about him assaulting her.
Yup even her own family didn’t support her.
Drake is not innocent.
@@spacewaste2459 Not saying he’s innocent, I’m saying he’s deserving of getting the benefit of doubt due to the evidence presented in the case. But who knows, cause there’s also a lot of guilty people with no evidence for their crimes. 🤷🏻♀️

I hope this comment blows up!

Did any of you defending him actually follow the court case or hear her testimony. I believe what he did to her.
I'm sorry that he is a victim, not sorry that he had to create another one. It's very odd to me how people want to forget that now all of a sudden. And of course he's going to completely down play what he is guilty of.

How did Drake have to plead guilty and James Charles is out in the public with no repercussions of what he has done?!?!
Sorry, would you keep being friends with someone thay flirts with 12 years in their late 20s and early 30s?
I don’t know why but every time I see Josh pecks eyes they feel souless
I think we should cut him some slack. Victims that go through trauma like Drake did tend to make bad decisions themselves. Instead it should be taught what is wrong and what is right to someone who doesn’t know better
I used to party at Drakes house. Definitely never saw Josh there. Hearing all of this stuff is very interesting...

Couldn’t he have plead no contest instead of guilty though
If you read the court documents you see it wasn’t completely black and white. He did a horrible thing talking to that minor but he did block her as soon as he found out her real age. The minor then proceeded to stalk him and show up at his shows.
One of the victims (with permission) shared all the direct messages she got from Drake’s exes and his other victims. Once you read those it’s clear that all the victims are telling the truth.
There's not enough money in the world to make me admit to something like that. imagine if he got prison time? Prisoners don't play that.
What he went through was horrible but we can't just ignore that because he's done some questionable stuff. In my mind, he done his time and people can't change and grow if not given the chance.
I feel bad for him but that still doesn't change the fact that he took the plea deal. The cycle continues and thats a shame
It’s not surprising how he decided to change the story because he was so quick to villainies josh even though they haven’t been close for years but is now saying that he’s fine with him. He was angry at him for nothing. He’s the type that is going to blame everybody else and not see anything wrong in his own behavior. His story never changed.
