Do Not Neglect the Wind: UND VFR departure procedure

The wind is a force that as pilots we are constantly battling. This week we begin a series on the importance of monitoring and correcting for the wind in all phases of flight. Todays episode will cover the UND VMC departure procedure and why it is crucial that we do not neglect the wind.

Grand Forks Approach Controller here... We also can't tell where you VFR departures are going. So please be situationally aware when approach may climb an IFR aircraft on departure up to 4,000 feet. Example: Two aircraft depart 35R. First one is VFR doing the standard departure procedure and plans to go to Fargo. The second aircraft is a local IFR released on a 080 heading. Approach may climb the IFR traffic to 4,000 ft so that it may hold at JEGUP for example. Well if the VFR starts a southbound turn at 3,500 feet, they may be heading directly into the flight path of an IFR aircraft on departure climbing from 3,000 to 4,000.

Các bạn bây khi cho máy bay hạ về đất và cho bây lênh và để cho cái đuôi máy bay đáp xuống đất và các bạn hạ lần thì cái đầu máy bay sẽ đáp xuống mặt đất từ từ và cho ngừng lại
