WTH haha where you from ?
Mine is dumping oil out the exhaust...any suggestions? Briggs 15.5
My Briggs is burning lots of oil.. Lots of blue smoke.. Will this solve that issue or do I have to do a ring job to..?
Can you tell me what I need to do for my outboard motor. Its dripping gas from bottom of carbs. Thanks.
I wish everyone I worked with was like Spark Plug. The more I'm around people, the more I love dogs. 🐕 🐕 🐕
Absolutely love Tarly Dactyl! Super entertaining and a natural teacher. Solid gold from this dude period!!!
After I seen this video I was able to fix my wife 18.5 brig on a z225 deere and I'm very pleased to see someone help us back yard workers thanks for the great video's
Keep God first .....Your a hell of a man. Thank you for your help.
Hey, thanks for this. The tip about oil coming out the fuel pump really helped as I knew what I was dealing with at that point. Also, telling me I could have the head off in a half-hour was another big help. Bottom line: pulled the head, cleaned everything up, watched your other video on adjusting the valves, put her all back together and I'm good to go. WOOOOOHOOOOO WOOOOHOOOO!! (Luckily, no video exists of me dancing.)
Love your work Taryl Fixes All. I've got a 16.5hp Briggs, that's been a bastard to start for years. It had a worn out cam replaced under warranty, but was never right. I've followed all your videos to find valve adjustment was out (worked for a while but had to keep adjusting). Eventually I worked out the cam decompression wasn't working (faulty factory replacement cam had the decomp shaft drilled on an angle), Replaced the cam. Immediately after replacing the cam, the motor would cut out under load, and oil coming out of the fuel pump. Once again your videos were a great help. Blown head gasket replaced. I think it blew after using Aerostart (ether) to get it going. Here in Australia, the local mower shops have been happy to sell parts, but not too forthcoming with much advice, despite the fact I've bought parts from them instead of online. I did take it in to the local shop along the way, but they only adjusted the valves too. Anyway, thanks for your entertainment and advice. I've even watched your videos for stuff that isn't wrong with mine just for the laughs. Cheers mate.
This is my favorite Tarly Video
Did my first ever head gasket today on a JD D120 with B&S OHV. Your vid (plus the valve adjustment vid) made it easy. That puppy started right up. That was my dinner. No more pop, no more smoke. Thanks.
Just wanted to say thank you for all the hard work you do and making these videos. It's always great to have a little fun while learning something new.
I think I'm ready to replace the valve head gasket on my old craftsman I got for free.
I hope the gasket is the only thing I have to replace though.
That’s the best repairman video I’ve ever come across!!!
Even tho this is the funniest repair I've seen its been one of the most helpful telling me that I have a blow head gasket.
Funny stuff. The best part everyone has missed so far are the numerous ink pens in both front shirt pockets and the spark plug necklace. One of the best small engine how-to videos I have ever seen.
Mikah Campbell we didn't miss the pens. He does that all the time. He also sells those spark plug necklaces on his website.
You saved me a lot of money and time. Watching your videos randomly realized I had a issue with my generator. Diagnosed and repaired it lickity split! Thanks Dudes!!!
Love your vids working on an Intel 18.5 with a blown head gasket right now, this has been a great help, thank you for taking time to make these videos!!!
This helped me diagnose and fix my engine that had the same symptoms - different mower but same type of Briggs & Stratton engine. Thanks fer dinner.
Taryl you are the man, my wife told me that one of my cub cadets was smoking. I checked it out and removed hood and engine cover head bolts were tight block wasn't cracked so I found that it had oil on the muffkin. I have done what you showed and I have almost finished remaking a new valve cover gasket after cleaning the messy oil leak off. THANKS Very Much!!!!!
you do a great job explaining the job in detail. no real need for the get up .most people come for the education which I must say in all your videos are awesome and informative .just my opinion
You do a great job telling people what to look for and expect and inspect.. Thanks
I have an 18 hp. flat twin that has 2 of those, one for each cyl. The left one was throwing oil into the carb. I did what you did [thanks to you] and now it works great. Thanks again.
Make sure you keep cylinder fins clean. Overheating causes this most of the time .
Thank your for what is arguably the most entertaining repair video I've ever seen.
Thanks for the video!!!! You helped me fix my craftsman 18.5 HP with a blown head gasket!!! I got my dinner!!
I really enjoy the teaching, best channel going!
Thank you for the videos, entertaining and educating. You were of great help in my repairs.
That's actually pretty accurate at the beginning - I went to the local shop to buy a blower and it was chaos!
Thanks for the diagnostic- same symptoms on my 15 year old la115- smoke comes out of oil fill, and I have oil drip from the fuel pump.
Got to be honest here,
Love your channel, best in the business 👏 who knew! Lol
Thanks for your work and Dinner😉
Thanks for the humor and important information. The black oil resistance rtv is the best. Thank you , your the best. The Lord bless you and shop
I have learned a lot from this helpful video to save the cost of service labor to do that at my home for the cylinder head replacement. Thanks for sharing and love this video!
Excellent channel, super funny and super good content. So Glad I found this channel. Will recomend all over.... Thanks for the great video Taryl!!!!
Love this guy! Really broke it down for us dummies.

Gene Friedman Good stuff...🐕🎶🎵🎼
Listened to this one at 1.25x and just about lost my mind!
Taryl's voice is SOOO much different at 1.25x that I had anticipated, he almost sounds like he could be your neighbor's brother-in-law from Tennessee.
Keep up the good work Taryl. I plan to use your tips from this and other videos to rebuild the engine on my Dear Juan Dee120.
Hope to have the results and some of my own "How To" videos to share soon.
Take care and God Bless
I want to thank you for your hilarious and informative video. It is going to help me a TON.
Thanks Taryl for the head gasket education saved me a bunch of cash . 18.5 intek
I watch these in my home shop and drink beer. They crack me up, thanks guys
Love the beginning with the dog
Once upon a time in the frozen North an Escamo was having trouble with his snowmobile. He took it to the local repair shop. "Looks like you blew a seal", says the mechanic. "No way!" replies the indignant Escamo, "That's just frost on my moustache".
Appreciate the video - used it to redo the head gasket and set valve lash. no more white smoke -
i bought a grey t-shirt...Taryl saved me enough money to buy a dozen of them to be honest
"and there's your dinner!" Haha so awesome!
This guy is amazing and I thank him for being human. Most people would care to show the average smuck like me how to save money thanks again
I really enjoy your videos. Very detailed, and informative. There's you're dinner!
Thank you again for another Great video and information on the head gasket replacement.
Spark Plug is awesome! Bring him back for more episodes!! Aluminum push rod must've been a great idea on paper. Bad idea in the real world.
my god, you put alot of energy into video production. Great Job.

Thanks for watching Elroy!
Love it - Thank ya fur ur videros. Your awesome !!!
Wow.....this is straight up genius. Goofy, derpy, comedy, educational genius. I learned to diagnose a blown head gasket on a overhead valve(which answered a mysterious issue with a 1980 chevy El Camino which a 454 V8 engine swap done to it and that it had an issue with constantly bending the push rod, and that remained a mystery, and some one else's problem (Sold it) to resolve, AND I AM ON YOU TUBE TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO RESTORE A 1982 Yamaha XJ750 Maxim which doesn't have a blown head gasket, and guess what......this was the only how too I watch start to finish, Over 30 other video's of people doing a how too involving the same motorcycle I have been learning to fix, and I kept skipping there way to vague and boring that I try to skip the points they talk to locate the points there actually doing something I need to learn get explained in fractured increments so I gotta then watch some body else give there take on how to do it, then someone else, for as many times I manage to pick people to learn from that fail to give feedback on certain in between steps on the task your hear to learn the ENTIRE process of. And I learned how to work gasket magic for something currently not what I am trying to be educated on with a high level of interest and entertainment, and its fun! Can you do one of these for an XJ 750 with a full restoration series, so I actually get the knowledge of my bike that I could only learn about from the people who make you nod your head and back away slowly so you can eventually get to learn what you came to learn from someone else....who suck at teaching it. Its like Bill Nigh the sience guy!!!!
I think he means lunch for the puppy.😍😍😍😍😂😂😂😂😂😂
Awesome mechanic, very informative and funny as hell! Great videos thank you!
We need to see sparkplug more, so funny, we laughed so hard, y’all are talented, Slippers Jimmy Cagney voice
I had a head from a Kawasaki that the valve guide had slipped also. I repossitioned the guide to it's normal position and staked it in the same way you would stake in a valve seat and so far the engine has run great. No need to buy a new head.
I have. Toro ss4225 dint wanted to start at first found out the started was stuck. I got it fix now it start but smoke comes out from the right side. I think I have a blown gasket. Nice video it help a lot. Thanks man 👍🏽👍🏽
Excellent video, as always. Was look'n but couldn't tell if the head gasket leak cut a channel in the head and/or block, not that it matters but a good thing to look for sometimes. Kinda wondered too if the aluminum pushrod heated up then expanded and was rubbing to create that dislocated guide?
Every body needs a set of teeth like that.
Never fear! Super Taryl is here!!!
did anybody else notice he got his teeth fixed for a few seconds ?? lolol great vid
Yup ! for a moment, Taryl lost a good part of his personality. Maybe he had them for dinner.
+R Verro lol
NAY , HE HAS GOT SAME TEETH JUST DIFFERENT CAMERA ANGLE.
Yes, but he's still butt ugly.. LOL
Love your sense of humor. I have a mower that is burning oil. I did the method of the dipstick. & it doesn't come out any smoke. I wish I could bring my mower to you. But I live in Florida. here is hard to find a good mechanic like you Taryl..😉
Could be piston rings
Good video. Glad to know all the info
Thanks for the video by the way, it was spot on.
GREAT VIDEO! You guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
greatest Taryl, thanks Lewis
you sir are hilarious. I love your videos. I wish you had your own TV show
Thank you! This helped me a lot! 😊
I do enjoy all your video...thank u
This video is very informative. I found the same exhaust valve guide issue on a v-twin. I just took out the valve and beat the guide back in position until another head arrives. There's your dinner
You guys are pretty comical with knowledge thanks
Great video, it has helped me diagnose my mower problem and gave me the confidence to tackle it after seeing this video. And, it's probably the first time i've seen you on video without your "teeth". When you were showing a close up of the head gasket you weren't wearing them.
Best intro yet!! Sparkplug!!
Holy cow, that that new guy drives like a maniac!
Who says Americans don,t have the skills to do any simple manufacturing jobs!! Thank You for your info!

🤣👏🤝 thanks! Awesome production too!
Dang that's funny! Well anywho I got a 25 hp twin kohler that has the very same symptoms as that and I thought it was a blown head gasket but now I'm sure of it! I always enjoy your vids and always a thumbs up, but not always comment. I'm better working on old engines then commenting! Lol! Take care and thanks for all your help on a lot of stuff!
Yeah, he’s the best!
..and this is a classic!!!
WOW! A working cassette player!
Crazy but very informative. Great video.
The "Spark Plug" intro had me laughing so hard, I had to rewind the video so I could watch it twice. LMAO
this guy is funny as hell
alex steele thanks! Please check out some more!
Bro I was dying 😂😂 looky there , there’s you dinner 😂😂
Dude is not funny , at all. Scooby Doo acts smarter. Unprofessional as hell . You want laffs watch comedy channel all engine repair not there. Cats may be smart, good at what they do. Not comedy, acting or script writing. Not even half-way do whole job ,he said. A repair helper maybe , comedian NO
Bobby Hutcheson what is your problem
@@ridingwithjag1990 his mom wont let him out of the basement I bet. Lol
Lots of knowledge my friend! I thought i was the only one at that stage of the mini motor game! Could use a guy like you here in the shop but can see your already paying your own overhead! Hope your clients for the most part are paying on time to make payroll and pay the parts vendors! Lots of knowledge and great videos! Many years in the buissness and can see you are too!
alright dude.... ill subscribe already. this is too good.the ridiculousness with the seriousness. priceless.
