- Professor Kain Pathos Crow is both an Anomaly and a Researcher.
His most notable exploit was when he was turned into a dog.
Since then, KainPathosCrow has avoided being terminated no less than four times, despite being in several situations that warrant an immediate termination, each time somehow either appealing to high command, or displaying invaluable (and irretrievable) knowledge. As a direct result, he is under constant monitoring, and is disallowed any unwatched or longterm contact with the outside world.
He has since become one of the chief librarians on the Foundations Staff, maintaining and updating the library quite regularly.
He has written reports on SCP 035 , SCP 063 , SCP 073 , SCP 076 , SCP 158 and more

I love the fact that Gears is such a bad father it actually spans the multiverse to the point his own daughters actively work against him as a functioning splinter cell of the Serpent's hand.

I love have the tension is cut as soon as Professor Kain is introduced, like the narrator himself stops being serious and literally goes "Aww~! Whose dog is this~?" Simply hilarious.

To be fair, Gears did have a bit of a sweet tooth in his youth. He does feel poorly about the whole Black Queen...situation. Not that he can do much about it. He does get along well with Kain, mainly because they offset eachother well. Hope to see a nice deep dive into Gears sometime as well. Love your work so far!

I will never forget reading about the SPC-239 (I think) incident, where Dr Crow fought using a mech walker made with other SCPs, using it to sword-fight a dragon that Gears convinced 239 was controlling Clef, thus making it real.
And then he wanted to eat the remains.

Nothing against Kain as what is known about him is interesting (especially his part in stopping Dr. Clef when Clef caused a major containment breach just to kill the Witch Child and of course Kain's force part in having to deal with SCP-4498) but SCP Explained already have half of the horsemen of the apocalypse covered with videos on Clef and Bright, they might as well finish it up with videos on Kondraki and Gears

I think you got Dr. Gears wrong. Something happened to Gears (possibly self inflicted in some form I don't know) that robbed him of his ability to feel or even have emotions. He seems to have been a good father before that. And that is why his daughter (The Black Queen) usually hates the Foundation across many realities. She blames them for what happened despite the Foundation actually spend a fair amount of resources to fix Dr. Gears. One Black Queen went and stole SCP-348 (A Gift from Dad or the Soup Bowel) just to gain a little piece of mind. sm

@@Nameless-ln5mr yep. Prometheus Labs did the same thing, only with anomalies that were different parts of a dead God. Other than that, the similarities seem way to similar to be a coincidence.
If the soul extractor could take souls and put them into other bodies, why doesn't Professor Kain Pathos Crow use it on himself and take the body of a D-Class so that he isn't a dog anymore?

I learned about Dr. Crow in SCP-5004 and his role is absolutely hilarious. It’s a long read but given that it features him, Bright, AND Ruth Bader-Ginsburg it’s really worth the read.

@@Human_traain They're talking about that SCP that takes place during Trump's term. The SCP was something about a demon living under the White House and Trump needing to be president to stop it. Crow is involved, and he does have a funny bit when meeting Trump, though he is far from being in the center of the story. The other doctors are there too.

Been waiting on another SCP Researcher Video, and also I rewatched the Picture Perfect Tale video to prove my point
Seeing obscure SCPs and Doctors is usually more fun than the big names! Maybe someday there'll be one on Dr Blast, the researcher who tested too much of the Anti-Aging Placebo, so everyone perceives him as being a toddler.
Project Olympia is such a beautiful nod to the sandman, and those kinds of details are what makes parts of the scp universe so compelling
That Crow thinks SCPs are allowed to do anything but keep the 05s immortal and all powerful is adorable.
I really hope dr light gets one of these videos because it's fun to learn about these different researchers. Especially with how scp experienced puts their own spin on things

BTW, the "walker" he is referring to in the journal entry isn't a handicap walker, or a dog walker for that matter; but SCP-244-ARC, AKA "the Egg-Walker," which is his personal combat mech! I can't believe they didn't address that in the video at all!
Actually question. Does Dr. crow have the lifespan of a human or a dog
Honestly a good question and one I’m not sure the SCP foundation knows. The only way to find would be the hard way.
Dog lifespan. In Rounderhouse's SCP-001 proposal, it's mentioned he has access to life-extending tech as an essential staff member, but even the Overseers can't prolong the life of a dog that long.
So late into the SCP, we find out that after _he_ became an O5, his time finally ran out and he asked the Administrator to put him down before it got too painful. Karlyle Aktus had also became an O5 and then committed suicide under similar circumstances, so it unfortunately wasn't a very tall request.
I just imagine the ending of SCP to be the foundation realizing the O5 council might be an anomaly themselves and would contain them as the last one.
I for one would love to see Project Olympia get its own dedicated video here on SCP Explained.

SCP-040 & SCP-158 are two SCPs that could be used to restore the dog doctor to human form, which could explain his interest and possible true motives for his experiments.

If project olympia is super intelegent & super strong & stuff & it would be his assistant, it's obvious how it would be useful to the SCP foundation.
My SCP OC, Dr. Gabe Ariel would be working under Dr. Crow then. Dr. Ariel specializes in "Artifact" SCPs such as SCP-914 and SCP-2406, and works in the archives. He has level 4 clearance, but is forbidden from interacting with SCPs such as "God", 682, "Cain", "Able", and the Gate Guardian to name a few. He is also required to have weekly therapy visits with SCP-999 for reasons of [REDACTED]. He is one of the few people in the organization who can bring Dr. Bright under control (most of the time) and is friends with him. Some say that Dr. Ariel is hiding a dark secret. Anyone making such ridiculous suggestions is to report for Amnestic treatment.

Personally it drives me nuts that they didn't mention something actually interesting Here since redundance clearly a moot point to this channel. They also did a small disservice to Dr.crow failing to mention that and experiment ,with the soul extractor (404?) Is how and why he's in his dog body and that it's a topic of contention wether or not he meant to do it / how he could have if he didn't/ or he didn who did it? Seeing as he didn't finger anyone for running 404 while his soul was out if his body and put his soul In a dog because if it wasn't on purpose it wouldn't have happened unless there's something we don't know. Honestly they've done better Jobs covering him in other videos where they just did a bunch of anomalous employees. I’m surprised his biology wasn’t mentioned, one of the largest stresses in Crow’s life his how long he will live. He suffers from many signs of advanced age in dog years. He believes his life has been drastically shorted also I believe he doesn’t have hands or stands up on his hind legs often.
