Being immortal probably made him go depressed so he started to do random stuff to try to make him happier or kill him and he knew no matter what he did he would always come back for the rest of Eternity so he did dumb things and always made jokes to be happy that's what I think why people depict Dr.B as weird insane and made a list of things she's not allowed to do

Very sad for him. Continuous long life by transferring consciousness can eventually drive one depressingly insane. Considering what he goes through, he''s done pretty well.
I will be honest for moment he should not be sad but worried for a day that world shall end and he will stuck in amulet
He should find a way to die sure, having options is valueable but he should not actively try to die as immortality has no other draw back if you can find a way to end it

So assuming you aren't shirtless and you're careful not to touch the amulet directly with your hands, then it'd probably be safe to give him a hug? Reminds me of one Tale where Bright mentions that having sex is very difficult because he has to be careful not to let his amulet touch his partner's skin, leading to some rather interesting (and probably not the most comfortable) positions. 😂

I wonder what would happen if the amulet was destroyed. I am a bit surprised that I do not think I have heard about Bright trying to destroy it. Is the amulet indestructible?

someone needs to makes a SCP series/movie revolving around doctor bright where appolyon types anomaly occurs and doctor bright is the only one on the foundation left so he starting to duplicate himself to rebuild the foundation and ultimately stopping the appolyon anomaly with his knowledge of other SCPs wouldn't that be cool?
It would be cool, but he can’t duplicate himself without other people, so it wouldn’t really work.

is he still aware when the medallion isnt on a host and no permanent hosts are around? couldnt the medallion just be placed in containment at least temporarily keeping him dead.
Why don't they just allow him to imprint on one person and then lock away the amulet in the storage drawers so he can't duplicate himself and only allow him to use the amulet if his host dies?

They want to exploit him, you know, that's basically what they like to do
I’m assuming the amulet is like a hard drive for Dr. Bright’s mind, soul, memories, etc. For example, your computer has Data A and your hard drive has Data B. The computer constantly gets more data and info while the hard drive sits in a box. One day the computer dies and there is no way to transfer Data A to the new device and you only have Data B a.k.a the Hard Drive a.k.a The Amulet. This is just my take on this question.
Another reason on why they keep making him switch bodies could be security reasons, if the amulet was always sitting in one place it would be easier for GOI’s to steal, but due to Bright’s “Wherever needed” basis, he and the amulet are constantly on the move.

You know I never realized this but, if they just let Jack inhabit 1 body for 30 days they could then look the amulet up. It would cease the need for new hosts and what’s it going to do walk away?

I’m assuming the amulet is like a hard drive with Bright being the computer, it contains Bright’s knowledge and memories . If you connect a hard drive to a computer and transfer copies of data and info onto said drive from the computer, both the drive and computer will have the same info. But when you disconnect the drive and store it away for a month, it’ll miss out on any new info the computer may have received. So if the computer is destroyed, you have back up info, but not everything you might have needed.
Also seeing that the SCP Sites seemingly get raided every few months by GOIs, it’s probably less of a security risk to have Dr. Bright wear the amulet at all times cuz he’s usually good a defending himself, from what I’ve read and heard.
Now do the origin story of SCP-953-B, where Dr. Bright "accidentally" got stuck in SCP-953's chamber.
I wonder if his conciousness is "active" while the amulet is not being worn. Is he awake in there without a body? Because if not, that could be a form of death for him

After having to die repeatedly in order to follow the foundation rules is it really a wonder that Bright acts out? I mean we never get told how long it took before they quit killing his hosts before the 30 days were up. But I would bet it was at least a few years. No wonder he is cavalier about doing shit that would kill him now. He has already experienced death repeatedly already.
Why dr bright dont avenge his family? He is immortal so he cam easily kill the 05 council or he dont know who of them did it ?

What confuses me is if removing the amulet causes the current host to cease higher brain functions, how would Dr. Bright create copies of himself? Every time he'd remove the amulet the current body he's possessing would effectively become a vegetable. Also now I'm curious, if there were to be multiple instances of Dr. Bright would his consciousness inhabit just the "original" body (whichever body he's possessing before making a copy of himself) or would his consciousness inhabit every copy?
After 30 days of the amulet remaining on the same body Dr. Bright's consciousness stays there even without the amulet, which is how he would be able to create copies of himself.
Also I think his consciousness would inhabit every body.

If ur what it is its a child that got killed by his brother and vowed to kill him so when they put his body in the funeral he got exposed to strange substance that gave him powers of the universe he is omni science he is aware on what happens in the other universes and can copy abilities from his parallel self and was able to take down able and scp 682 when there was a breach. And his plans are to kill scp 3812 because he wants to take Sam Howells power to transcend above a reality to end the scp verse to create a universe where evil exist. He one time went in his brain to shadow fight creatures from his head but one lets a strong one out breaking the jar of imagination pouring all over his head but since he has a living universe inside him it ends up affecting it creating new species in there and accidently created a new scp called scp 8235 (the imagination beast) which can infiltrate others imagination and break the jar of creation to spread new things . It makes the persons imagination unlimited ans sometimes could make them into what they see in their head but will severly damage thier body and become a hybrid of the creature halving their life span.scp 8235 can possess abilities from what the human mind knows . Making him now omniscient and is on scp 8256 power . He can also come out and transcend out of the mind . Both of these scps arent always hostile they can be kind such as scp 8256 giving presents to other scps including hostile ones . And scp 8235 giving a sample of an antidote to cancer .
