Actually one of the best haunts I’ve seen, it’s so cool to see a haunt that doesn’t predominantly feature the “clowns or hillbilly butchers / people with chainsaws” that most do, nothing against it, I just personally find it lacklustre, but 13th Gate looks amazing, great attention to detail and fab actors!!
The actors are ok

Honestly one of the best haunts you’ve featured. Whether it’s the highly detailed sets, the great animatronics, wonderful performance actors, or the overall content, it definitely sets apart from others. Not having to rely on music or copyright horror content seemed to make this one more memorable
Jacob, it warms my heart to know that, in my state where we don't get recognized for many good things, that you have TWO attractions so close to my home that you praise so highly.
It's cool to see how the walkthrough looks with all the actors around. I've never had the courage to go thru it during business hours, haha. Working in theatre tech in the area, I've had a few opportunities to walk thru the gate with all the lights on, actors not present over the years. It's changed up in a few areas since the last time I visited but I remember the stories people who worked on the sets would tell. About how much the bodies in previous years morgue scenes cost for the level of realism in them. They would talk about what materials goes into creating a replica like that, the hours of painting to make it look real. About the scents they get shipped in for creating that smell of death and plague in the ripper/London section as well as a few other areas. Even the elevator scene at the start is so different when you can see the practical effects they use in action. There's always something new to take notice of every time you walk through. I've always thought it was amazing to see the detail they add even though the lighting in working hours doesn't nearly showcase all of it. I'm glad you got to experience it!

This was damn impressive. Like most of the time I couldnt tell what was a prop moving or otherwise and what was a human other than obvious things like the giant gator head. So many good references but they had their own thing going. That has to be a dedicated place not something they totally redo yearly.
I've read that they do change things out, but I'm sure some are staples. Or they probably just do rotations or something

As a theater nerd, I always wanted to see…a certain couple in a haunt. There they are in the first 5 minutes. Excellent show, and Jacob’s videos are an annual family tradition. Usually my bored teens are like “whatever “ on my CZcams viewing, but when they hear Jacob, they’re all “pause it! Let me get over there!”

The Scare actor in the elevator frightened Carpetbagger the best that ive seen in 2022 so far.
I absolutely love the commentary and responses he has to the scares instead of screaming sometimes he just sounds so calm😂😂😂 this makes watching your videos 10x better🤍

By far the best👻 haunting...it was a nightmare...the accent sound authentic brilliant to experience the fright albeit via vlog😱 And that dunking clown was hilarious!🤡
While on the east coast try the haunted overload in Lee, New Hampshire. I went to that one all the attractions were built from the bottom to top, I was impressed with the work put into this haunt. I get on the internet and go state to state finding haunts, the haunt owner really knows how to put on a scare haunt. Total tank on this one
This has to be the best haunted house I’ve seen on CZcams. There’s so much effort and detail put into every room. And they didn’t over do it with animatronics.
I have been watching you for years, and THAT IS THE GREATEST HAUNT I've ever seen!!! I especially liked the Victorian shop keepers who just wanted you to leave! And personally, I LOVE all of your yelling and screaming! I'm right there with ya'! Thanks, Jacob!!!

13th Gate is one of the best haunted houses ever! Nice to see that they got a lot of new themes this year. Loving the Dracula area and the new pumpkin room. As a Louisiana girl that just moved to Texas, it makes me happy to see one of my favorite places from back home! I'm also now craving a crawfish pie lol.

Hey if you are ever in Louisiana again you should really try and go to Rise Haunted house. I honestly think it’s a little better then the 13th gate. It’s more of acting. They have three attractions. A normal house, an asylum where they can touch you, and a hayride where they get up and close to you. I think they are all so good. The asylum is my personal favorite.

It is the start of the most wonderful time of the year whete Jake screams like a little girl a compressed air, loud horns, and clowns knowing his name: Haunt Seasen! Other Haunted Attractions that I recommend is Erebus Haunted Attraction in Pontiac, Michigan, Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride in Glen Mills, PA, and Cutting Edge Haunted House in Fort Worth, Texas. 4:52 "AHHHHHHH!!! WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!?, "British people are terrifying", and the clown in the tank saying "I'm and this guy's channel sucks" almost lost my voice from laughing. Also, to the actors (some of which have a CZcams account) of The 13th Gate, you guys are the f**king best of the best and scare them until they lose their voice/crying for their mommy. His quotes never cease to amaze me 😂🤣😂🤣

If you get up to Pontiac,michigan there is a 3 story haunted house called erebus, it is one of the most awesome scares I ever been to. Drove from nw ohio to go and it was worth it, also haunted hoochie in ohio really shock horror from what I've heard...
