Clipzilla it may be a matter of opinion but Kevin’s voice is much more candid and authentic feeling, I get thrown off by jewel putting so much into singing with powerful emotion, like if you really feel that way it sort of just comes out because you’ve been holding it back, it feels like jewel got into the studio, and then tried to make herself feel sad. No argument that she has a more melodic voice, Kevin just gets the emotion across in a more relatable way

In the real song you don't hear the same kind of sad melody and it's too "pop" like to be a sad or emotional song. I have to agree I like Kevin's version more, I'm really into emotional music and songs played clearly by instruments. That guitar part you hear as base and Kevin's melodic singing makes the song feel more "alive" . But I really respect if you like the original one more.
