This is the roots of Rock & Roll, and impacted ALL popular music including R&B, Hip-Hop, Hard Rock, Pop, Punk - everything. Chuck Berry is one of the GOATS.
You're missing one of the best things about Chuck Berry by not watching him live. Chuck was a showman and his live performances were killer.
I often recommend actual videos of performers, and Chuck is probably at the top of that list, as his playing was amazing, as was his stage presence. I know most reaction channels are there for the audio, but for some artist, the live performances(or filmed videos), actually add to the overall song. He is animated on stage and then some, one of the best to ever hold the instrument.

This era of rock n roll was short, from 1955-59 and oddly enough, the most of the main ones had something happen to take them out of the limelight for a time or permanently. Elvis Presley was drafted into the army in '58 Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, killed in the plane crash '59, Jerry Lee Lewis got in trouble for marrying his 13 year old cousin, Little Richard became a preacher, Chuck Berry was in jail for a time. Being legendary isn't easy, but regardless, they gave us some incredible music

One of the father's of Rock n Roll definitely as far as the guitar is concerned,he was the one who invented the Duck walk onstage while playing,if you have never seen him do it I'm pretty sure that you have seen Angus young from AC/DC do it onstage.

this is where electric guitar licks were born. so many of todays guitarists owe Chuck Berry a thanks for being a pioneer of rock guitar licks.
Chuck Berry was a true American poet. Many many songs to listen to. Maybelline, Little Queenie, Carol. You Never Can Tell. He inspired many of the greatest rockers -- Beatles, Rolling Stones for sure who covered many of his songs.
If you ever need to laugh your @ss off watch the video of his song " my ding-a-ling" his face expressions are hilarious and he is a comedic genius. Also you should see him jumping around playing this and his other fast song's. He really lights up the stage . One of the best guitarist ever.
