THE 26th MISTAKE - Telling all your friends and acquaintances about you ingenious business idea but NEVER actually building or acting upon it.
The best way to kill your dreams is to start blabbing your ideas to anyone who will listen.

Some really good info in there. Particularly the blog and internal links. However, "Number 7 is going to surprise you" is a really cheap approach. Your content is better than that.

not having a mobile version of the website is a very critical mistake. i did it once. it's the easiest thing to overlook, assuming people surf more on PCs and tablets. thank you for expounding on this point.

So with images on Wix, what size is needed to upload would you say? ie slide gallery and grid gallery maybe
I honestly can't believe you just breezed thru the mobile editor with sparkling praise. here in 2021 and we are stuck with some 2010 apple phone temp for the mobile editor. most of us have 1080p phones now. why hasn't Wix updated their mobile editor ? 3-4 standard types to choose from ? the mob editor brought me nothing but grief.
With font, it’s easier to read normal lowercase with title uppercase only. The shape of the word helps comprehension.

Thank you for teaching me. QUESTION: i have a domain already and had an old website that got deleted. How do I keep other big companies from steeling the people that are looking for me. Like if someone is searching for my company, A Place For Mom website pulls up and shows my info then the consumer contacts them and I would owe A Place For Mom a fee if I work with the consumer that was looking for me? Can I fix this situation with a new WIX site?

How do you set it up for exit intent? I don't see the trigger setting to allow for this as opposed to popping up within a certain number of seconds. I don't want it popping up while they are reading the content of the page...only when they move the cursor to navigate off the page. If you can explain I would be really grateful. Thanks

Gret vid, thanks! BUT regarding the header/menu, which WIX templates allow you to have text menus rather than those 3 lines button? So annoying
hmm....personally, as a user, I rather like 3 lines button. An icon is always better than text.
However, if you really want the text menu than the button, there is a tutorial of it on youtube but it can be quite complex as you need to create a lightbox that contains text linked to each page or anchor (make sure it won't show up automatically), then make the 3 lines disappear by deleting them. Put the text menu and link it to the lightbox.
A pro of this method is that you can totally customize your menu lightbox. Other than that, I don't really see any reason to do it but it's up to you.
