- Looking for the best place to eat in Puerto Vallarta? With hundreds to choose from, it can be difficult - there's so much to choose from Mexican, Argentinian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, International, French and so much more. My Puerto Vallarta real estate agent friend Taniel Chemsian, took me around to his top 7 restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
You can have breakfast, lunch or dinner for $5 or $100...either way, you can't have a bad meal at any of these places -- Tintoque, Coco's Kitchen, La Palapa, Oscars, Cafe de Artistes, Los Abuelos, or Bravos.
If you are planning on moving or retiring to Mexico (or thinking about it), then join Taniel and I LIVE for our free webinar DREAM RETIREMENT IN MEXICO June 8, 9, 13,16, 2021. Just choose the best day and time that works for you.

What is your favorite restaurant in Puerto Vallarta?
@violamateo sounds so yummy!! am adding them to my list!
You nailed it with Coco’s Kitchen ♥️ and La Palapa. I also love to eat at La Dolce Vita, a Puerto Vallarta staple.
Hacienda San Angel...If you want to impress the ladies...Great spot if you want romantic.
La tienda grande
In Ixtapa ☺️
Love La Dolce on the Malecon. Not the same vibe in the Zona Romantica.
The 36-hour Baked Tomato at Tintoque was the single best bite of food I've had in my entire life. It's been two years and I'll never forget it.
A beach destination with a taste of Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is defined by the natural charm of its beaches embraced by the Sierra Madre mountains
Thank you for this great content.
Can't wait until August!!
I'm there in August also, hopefully the weather is good to us !!
Thank you so much for the fun tour. We found Rio Grande restaurant on the first of many trips to PV and visited it every trip. It is on Avenida Mexico across from the Ley grocery store. The first time we saw it, they were grilling fish in an open window right on the street and we had to try it. Since then they moved the grill inside but still have the same great grilled seafood. Family owned and run. Further out and on the beach, we loved Hector’s Sunset which is closed now. During one of those visits we enjoyed a family restaurant that might have been what Los Abuelos became as it was far into a neighborhood and either was their home or had been their home. Many of the places we have enjoyed are still open and I like to see that. El Arrayan was a great favorite and I read that they are closing but will continue their cooking classes which are great fun.
Mariscos Cisneros at Aguacate 271, Zona Romántica, Emiliano Zapata, 48380 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico
Hello Peggy 😊
This is perfect! I'm making a trip in November and you're spot on with these recommendations. Happy travels and Saludos from Los Angeles!
The only thing I would be able to eat would be the prime rib and the carrot cake.
Hello Arlene 😊
Thank you for sharing. Just in time for my trip next week.
Yum! Also, I got a lot of great ideas about healthy recipes from watching this video. Feel like I traveled this morning to Mexico. Thank you.
thank you!
Blue Shrimp is my favorite! Also like the River Cafe, the garlic soup is the best soup, ever.
ah yes, Blue Shrimp is very good too! Have not been to River Cafe ...will have to try it out next time!
One of my favorites also, just had dinner there last Thursday. Always amazing!
@@FrancoAir lucky you. 🤗😎. Which restaurant r u referring to, Blue Shrimp or River Cafe. If it is Blue Shrimp did u go to the one downtown or in Nuevo? They r both good. The one in Nuevo was run by Martines nephew if it is open and he is still there.
Wow you guys are amazing 🙏
Great video, what a foodie town!
I also been to Mi Pueblito at Playa los Muertos is a good one too
Fabulous video, can’t wait to try some of your recommendations, when I visit later this year.
Hello Kazzy😊
I just got back from PVR yesterday, putting all of these places on my list to try.
Great recommendations. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. We are going there this end of October.
love this...cheers to health and happiness.
Hello Jo blo😊
Great tips , I been to Oscar's by Rio Cuale
"I'm supposed to be promoting health" So funny!
yeah there was definitely a bit of guilt! haha
OMG!
You actually sampled all these yummy gourmet restaurants in one trip?!
While the rest of us were locked down?!
Wah, wah 😭
It was over a 2 week period but yeah...it was a lot of food...

Cool! I now see how you're aging so gracefully 😉
It’s missing @latiendagrande restaurant, in Ixtapa Village. 20min from downtown 😌
You’ll never regret it
ahh sounds like one I will have to try out!!
Trying to find another 30 cents so I can buy myself a cheeseburger 🍔 but I would settle for any of the dishes on this vid.
😀
yum
Would love to go. My husband is from Morelia and would be a great place to see our family there again.
I've not been to Morelia but heard amazing things!
@@ModernAging It is gorgeous.
My top three is Cafe de Olla, La Palapa & Le Kliff at different price points, and regardless where you eat, a stop at Margarita Grill on the way, is always in order
awesome!! will have to try those out next time!! we were supposed to try Le Kliff but ran out of time...
Your husband looks like Johnny Sack from the Sopranos. He runs New York. Anyways, great video, very helpful.
Me and my kids when to one but I don't remember which one
Hey!
As a frequent visitor I have wondered why Oscar's is always empty when I pass by?
Exactly. Had dinner there a few years ago and was greeted with the 2 for 1 margarita ploy. The food was good but when I received the bill they had expensive margaritas on the bill and didn't get the 2 for 1 deal as expected. I was told that the deal was for small margaritas (which weren't on the menu). Never again, when in that neighborhood I go to the River Cafe.
Bcuz who wants to walk back to those steps after eating!
how do you find Los Abuelos? I have an upcoming trip to PVR and would love to visit :)
Hi Rae - Good morning. Here's the Google map link for Los Abuelos: g.page/LosAbuelosComidaTradicional?share
They are located at: Juan Escutia 232, Colonia Niños Heroes, C.P. 48328, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.
I hate fancy gourmet places!!! Love the whole on the wall places!!! More authentic!!!!
Definitely stay away from La Palapa to then. It's run by Nazis!
Please keep background music at an even level throughout entire presentation. The constant level changes are very annoying. Otherwise, nice job!
thank you for your insight and comment. Duly noted.
So based on the prices on restaurant number one, the prices are pretty much the same as Las Vegas Nevada.
my top 3 rest polo,s pipi,s and momentos rest
Stay away from La Palapa. Worst exploitation of employees!
