- In today's short video we do a Can-Am Ryker honest review! This is a three wheeled motorcycle in the same family as the Spyder by the same company, with a scaled-down "less is more" mentality behind it. The Ryker 600 and Ryker 900 are Can-Am's attempt to make a factory trike under $10,000 that is as easy as possible for anyone to ride, and think they have hit that mark rather well! You know, I kinda dig these "reverse" trikes. I'm already a pretty experienced rider on virtually any type of bike but I've never ridden a trike. Think I might go test drive one of these or a Spyder. Thanks for the overview/review bud.
600 top speed is much higher. Mine pegs at 95 but it does just fine going 85 on the interstate
Do you live in America or Europe? Also how much do you weigh?
If you watch videos you will see people going as high 94- 95 mph on the 600. I got a 2021 and I already took it to 85mph right after 200 miles. But I don't want to over do it, cause its still practically brand new. When I get over 400-500 miles, I will take over 90mph. Just go on U tube an put in top speed videos on the can am ryker 600 you will see. And I'm in the US
Just got my wife a 2020 Really Edition, so question on the trans. It seems that it takes about 5 to 10 seconds to fully engage when switching from forward to reverse. So is this normal, and has anyone else noticed that sometimes it kinda makes a clunking noise when it engage? Any info is appreciated, thanks!!!!
I have experienced this before with them when switching, it usually works itself out to be more like a 1-2 second delay once broken in, but if it persists after break in I would have the dealer look at it as it might need some adjustment
I've heard it was normal after having it for a while it will fade away...

I have the Ryker rally edition I love it. My friend who I grow up with have a later model f3. He said he like the way the ryker handle. It handles better than the SPYDER

If you like to ride wicked style type of riding stick to the two wheelers, But if you like to customize and have fun, specially group riding then get you one of these Rykers, The guy is right they are very affordable!

Just 900cc for 3 cylinder, the 600cc is two cylinder, both configs are inline overhead setups

He was wrong about it topping out at 70! I’ve drove 70 with no problems and it still had more to give!
He is very wrong on that 😆 🤣. Not in the United States maybe in other countries.

Great video bro! Check this out I just bought a 2021 rally 900 had it less than two week with 432 miles on it started leaking oil not happy been in the garage for a week now haven’t heard nothing I don’t want to for getting back I’m just loved driving it but now I’m not have no confidence in that motor and now that was a pretty shitty thing if the oil got on the back rear tire that would’ve been really bad I’m going to corporate to and see what they gonna end up doing but I don’t want the machine back! And found out loose parts in the bottom of the skid plate!
It has a much higher top speed than 70 on the 600. I cruise on the expressway at 80 consistently. I’ve taken it up to 101. So yeah.....
Should have worn some bugles on your fingertips. It would have made the sales pitch more interesting.
Might want a mind muff/dead cat for outdoor audio.
When does the honest review start?
I have a 2019 600. Have gotten up to 90 on it. Could of prob did 95.
Awesome! Can-am themselves asserts that it is limited at 75 and I've never had one over 70 but...good to hear haha
Thats not true I bought 2021, and did not say it top out 70-75. An if you look at videos on the 600, you will the I seen was 94mph which is plenty enough speed. And the 900 105 - 107 mph. But as long as you go 80- 85 mph you can go on the highway easily.

Yeah that's crazy! A brand new Ryker can be had in the U.S. for less than 10,000.
15k retail in Western Australia in 2021. I assume you were not looking at the 600 of its that high

Darrell Charles I know right. The problem is that most of the guys who sell them only have driven them before they’re broken in, so they can’t possibly know the maximum performance of these machines. So they need to stop giving specifics that they have no clue about
How much do you weigh? I weigh 215 pounds, so I wonder if it would run like that with me on it..

Good for beginners trike... untill ya hit freeway speeds. Then needs a experienced rider to control the Potentially dangerous Hi speed tracking twitch..for a beginner
Definitely right on it being a bit twitchy at highway speed, I like them a lot better in town and backroads.

A lot of stuff has been going that way unfortunately, especially in anything "automatic" in motorcycles (outside of some select Honda stuff and a couple of oddball others)

Frankly sir, you don’t know enough about the motorcycle for either an intro video or a review.
It's just a Snowmobile without snow. Really sucky and lame compared to a real 2 wheel motorcycle. Can't think of any reason to own one if you can handle a real motorcycle. Not so bad in straight line but the gymnastics on hard cornering would get really tedious.
Yeah the main idea and the main target riders are people who want to ride a motorcycle but just will not ever be comfy on 2 wheels, so for that purpose and being a good price-point in a trike I think it's great. If you can handle 2 wheels than obviously that would be my preference as well haha
