The rubber gasket will handle it, no glue needed. And yes will retain the ip rating.
It has mirror's in the projector if one had to change how does one go about fixing or changing it

Sir have you seen any phones similar hit with better camera and a better battery style? I'm looking for something that isn't so easy to break, and has IR and night vision or thermal imagining. Good flashlight too, but projector isn't a must.
With better camera and rugged, you'd be looking at phones like the galaxy xcover pro or similar, but those don't have IR or night vision. However you can purchase a infiray p2 pro thermal camera which you can attach to the charger port of the phone to give you that feature. Its also small and easy to use.
I have this phone and ive honestly been super happy. I dont take toms of pictures but the camera quality is by no means bad just not the absolute best ive ever seen. I am a phone destroyer though and have been through like 10 iphones and this one has held up awesome. The camping light ia crazy good aswell. Only downside is it kinda looks like a home depot store phone lol.
For what needed internal LED flash? That one on laser projector board. In have light on display direction...
Its for when taking pictures or video with the phone.

I think it's just held on with adhesive, but not sure if you will be able to find the replacement part. You would probably have to reach out to unihertz to see if they would sell you one.

Hi,could you please help me with one issue with the Tank 2.I have no means to use the double lights at the back. No controlls for it.Where can I download an app for it, or how is it possible to use them.I wrote to the factory service department but they are absolutelly useless and not willing to help out with this or any other question...

Hello! there are many owners of Unihertz 8849 Tank 2 whose screen looks like the battery has -61%, because of this the phone works in economy mode. Does the Tank 2 phone have two battery connectors? is the battery somehow made up of two parts? As with this -61% error, although it doesn't seem to charge either battery, the battery is charging (or one of the sides if it has two). In this video you have given too little information about the battery and its connectors. Are the connectors from the battery much too tight that they can disconnect with mechanical shocks?

hola una duda mi equipo ya se le cambio la bateria pero aun me dice que tengo -61% de bateria y me marca bateria baja ya lo deje cpnectado toda la noche y no sube la carga se queda con ese indicador de carga

I have my tank 2..and i want to ask something if do you have any idea about its speakers.because i try to wash my phone in the faucet and then the sounds at suddenly change..i cant hardly hear the sounds aftr being wash by a water.do u have any idea?

Just open back cover and try play music if sound louder just clean the speaker cover..the hole stuck with dust..it happen to me 😂
It doesn't seem as good after seeing it taken apart. The cameras are a disappointment without image stabilization.
The battery doesn't seem as safe as it should be either. 🤔
At this thickness, phone companies better put in 18650 cells. Think I read that they've gas release valves & don't swell. Imagine the immense swelling on these prismatic/pouch cells bundled together 🙂💀

You are right with your statements, but using 18650 cells also means less capacity, because due to their cylindrical form, they don't use the given space very well. Also more of their own mass is used for the housing, because they are already meant for being handled like regular batteries. The batteries used in this phone and basically every other phone don't have such a protective enclosure, because the phone housing already does the protection and they use the space given to the max.

You can reach out to the manufacturer and request it. I don't think they sell it online.

Hi. I'm not sure what could be causing that. You can try to do a factory reset on it if you can to see if it will help (remember, factory reset will erase all your data).

This thing is easily serviceable, yet water tight and shock proof. So why would you buy Samsung/Apple again?
All depends on what you need it for. Its a large and bulky phone, so it's not for everyone.

The seller's description says there's an FM radio. The user manual doesn't mention it. Unihertz customer service wouldn't answer my question. Anybody know if there is one? If so, is the 3.5 jack used for the antenna? Thanks
