They should have lowered the VX variant's pricing too.
Hrv base variant....best option.
Hard to justify the 60K price diff between S CVT and S MT. The S MT gets 16-inch steelies on cheaper Dunlop tires (compared to 17-inch alloys on Bridgestone tires), no fog lights, no push start button, no remote engine start, no center arm rest, gets an ugly shift boot cover, and gets a micro pole antenna (compared to shark fin). The S MT variant is the least favorite child
Best part yung uphill with 7 people. Sana gawin niyo siya sa lahat ng reviews para matest yung capacity ng sasakyan kung fully occupied. Mahirap mag imagine kung ano performance ng makina pag akyatan. Big help sa mga viewers like me. Thanks Philkotse!!
Nice video! Ganda ng comparison between the old and new model. The group has really good chemistry. Stanley and Martin are really good reviewers. Vincent and Jacob, I think Philkotse should give/do more videos from you guys. Ganda ng contrast, "conyo" and "racerboi" outlook, provides a different vibe for the channel. Kudos 👏

Great review. Side-by-side against the last gen is greatly appreciated, as well as the full-load test drive. Oks din na the review is in Taglish - keeps the tone relaxed even when discussing technical aspects. Hopefully mag-improve yung camera-work sa future videos. Medyo hindi yata akma yung setting sa lighting conditions. But yeah, great review pa rin. Already clicked subscribe. :)

Sana matest yung 7 na sakay sa sungay road tagaytay or any place na mataas ang gradient para sa real world test. Anyway kudos sa Philkotse team sa initial test review at least may basis at hindi lang nakita sa numerical value ang torque ng car kundi nakita rin sa actual. Sana ganito yung mga types ng review nyo in the future.
Ano pong sasakyan ang hindi kaya ang sungay road ng maiwasan? 😅
Ang daming ICE (internal combustion engine) padin ang gamit na halos kasing tipid ng mga hybrid vehicles tulad nitong BR-V (combined city and highway 16-22 kpl ang mga top fuel-efficient cars). Ang advantage ng hybrid sa konsumo ng fuel ay pag sa heavy traffic dahil pwedeng electric mode lang dun lalo na pag naka full stop lang while ICE vehicles continue to burn fuel. Though pwede naman mag electric mode sa highway ang hybrid, di ganun katagal magagamit dahil mauubos ang charge agad. Correct me if I'm wrong nalang para sa mga hybrid owners/users.
Maganda mga sir kung mag rereview kayo isama nyo na sa segment nyo ang Jam Pack test like you did sa video na ito..Para ma test kung kaya ba talaga ng car ang 5 or 7 adults.
Hindi lang marunong yung nagsasalita. Negative pa sa tono nya..Nahihirapan daw sa hillstart, eh natural lang naman yun. 7 sakay mo.haha.ang importante dun na kaya nya. At kahit super lakas ng car mo dikarin haharurot sa hill lalo pag trapik.

Tama..masyado mataas expectation nya since 1.5 lng makina...7 full grown adult pa..nkakaahon naman. Nsa driver din yan. Ung 2009 city ko 1.5...easy sa akyatan kahit puno..

I guess po sa tulad ko na 46 years old na very useful na ang Honda Sensing. Kasi driving at night makes me feel like the road is narrow due to poor eyesight na rin. I guess Honda Sensing would be great if you are getting older.

You shouldn't be driving if you already have poor eyesight. Have your eyes checked and you might just save a life.

I'm so glad they have a manual variant and came w/ apple and android as standard features. Also the manual comes w/ 16inch alloy wheels and not steelies w/ hubcabs.
Current m/t variant comes with steelies. Bummer!

I understand how you came to that conclusion, but no. It doesn’t look like the mu-X’s rear. And I believe the hosts were talking about the taillights, not the whole rear fascia.

Veloz na kasing laki na halos ng Innova pero mas mahina pa engine kaysa rito sa BR-V. Kung ito nga medyo struggle na sa paahon kapag puno ng passengers, paano pa kaya yung Veloz na yun sa same situation??
Atsaka need ingatan nang sobra ang Veloz. Wag sana may tumalon na pusa pabagsak sa may bubong, kasi baka mayupi since sobrang nipis lang ng roof nun. Not a good quality, I'd say. Ekis agad for me.

Maybe? We’re not sure since we haven’t tested. But theoretically, yes.
Brv overall is a very good vehicle. Si Mr. Chief editor masyado lang mataas ang standards for a 1.5l, mas ok pa si Vincent, Martin and even Stan mag review na honest to goodness. Chief yung sa up hill comments mo too subjective, But in any case you will never have any problems uphill sa brv. Kahit ma traffic pa yan.

Kaya yan ng hill climb kahit stop and go. Yun ngang 2015 na Ertiga na 1.4 K14 engine kaya mga mountain roads dto sa Pinas yan pa kayang sa new BRV. From what has been mentioned by other car reviews. The new BRV has the most robust engine in its class. Of course the engine will struggle a bit. But it can still do the job.
Exactly and what does that guy expect from a 1.5 engine? Zoom uphill like the suv's?

We tried D, S, and L but those won’t matter if you’re coming from a standstill. They are only locking the “gear” but won’t help much since you’re starting at 0 RPM. - Jacob

Innova e or brv vx? 🤔
Hi Guntheq. I think it all depends on engine power vs interior & safety features. If you want simple amenities on the inside but more power and space, I'd recommend the Innova E. But if you think you need more safety features (perhaps you have trauma having experienced a serious accident that put lives at risk of death then) and a good infotainment system, leather seats, etc. and find the 1.5 engine sufficient enough, then go for the B-RV.
But since I only got to use Innovas which had proven their reliability and fuel efficiency for its engine size (2.8 diesel), then I may not be the appropriate person to give this advice for you.
However, we have two Innovas (2018, 2023) but thinking of selling our 2018 M/T variant to replace it with a smaller compact SUV/MPV car. I'm contemplating on the 2022 BR-V Manual, 2023 Expander OR heck, another Innova (J M/T) because I don't like the coding day of our 2018 Innova though it has served us greatly.

if you want the car to really move - use all the torque available @ 4300rpm - not @2500 as tested; otherwise kudos for the full passenger capacity review.

What it means, however, is that it already produces a lot of torque even at 2500 rpm only.
Their comment was that car is not preppy at that rpm which is not where the most torque is.
2500rpm dahan dahan lng takbo nya at konting apak lng..pero may ibubuga pa yan kung 4krpm na at mas bibilis ang pag ahon...tinest nila ng mabagal at bitin.

1.5 Engine is too small for 7 seater. They could at least make 1.8
Got our 2023 brv a few days ago and the engine is great. More than enough to accommodate 7 people
