  • The proposed mosque aims to be Europe’s first eco-friendly mosque by incorporating specialised design features to minimise carbon emissions. Additionally, the project’s award-winning London Eye architect, Marks Barfield Architects, are working closely with world renowned sacred geometer, Dr. Keith Critchlow from The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts in London, to include architectural elements from both traditional Islamic architecture as well as the surrounding city of Cambridge in the design.
The mosque will accommodate a congregation of 1,000 worshippers, as well as state of the art teaching areas, meeting rooms, a morgue, a café and an Islamic garden designed by Emma Amina Clark.
Phase one, included the construction of the ramp and basement carpark which has recently been completed and the project is on track to be finally completed in Q1 2019.
Come celebrate with us the imminent establishment of this landmark institution.

Everybody concerned with the design and construction of the Mosque and garden have done a wonderful job it is splendid. 50 years ago I lived very near this in Mill Road. Having lived so far 90 years and used dividers most of them I now know how close to God I have been.
