      So, I do a small STEP before I swing, not a leg lift, would that still give me as much power as a leg lift?

    Thanks! Helped a lot because I used a leg kick but when I started using it my head wasn’t seeing the ball correctly so I switched to a more half leg kick not like a big one.

    So is it okay to not have a leg kick more of just lifting your leg slightly forwards? Thanks.

    U know i don't use the leg kick for power i use it for timing(just like jose bautista)

      That's good! It's an awesome timing mechanism if you can do it properly.

      I agreed with this... even the legendary Sadaharu Oh utilized the high leg kick,
      was for the purpose of buying some time for him to hit the ball in time, rather than being powerful...
      I once read articles mentioned that before he uses this high leg kick method, he did have trouble catching up with fastballs...

      we can literally buy some time to hit the ball, if we did raise the front leg higher and earlier, I guess...

    I practiced it for timing and extension and I ended up one hopping the fence to center the second game of the season 😂

    Hey coach Justin do you have any tips on how to hit away from first base?

    • @UltimateBaseballTraining
      @UltimateBaseballTraining  Před 6 lety

      If you're a right-handed hitter, hit the ball more out in front of the plate. If you're hitting it to first base that means you're really letting it travel and you're hitting it deep.

    Hey coach Justin, been following you for a bit, And I've been getting better with practice. I have a question for you about running the bases. In a recent game, my team mate was able to connect with the ball well and i managed to make it home from second base. We ended up winning by one because of that. The thing is the catcher was standing in between me and home plate, And i sort of forcefully moved him out the way. Was that a "dick move," for a lack of a better phrase; our what would you have done differently? Thanks again I've been learning so much from you

    Hey coach justin, what is your advice on practicing versatility?

    • @UltimateBaseballTraining
      @UltimateBaseballTraining  Před 6 lety

      If you want to be versatile and be able to play different positions in a game, then you have to do the same thing in practice. So my advice would be to show equal love to every position you're going to play. Don't just take 100 ground balls in the infield, then 5 fly balls in the outfield and call it good. You need to put in equal work at every position
