RIP Malcolm Young. I love ACDC.
Amen, Malcolm Young THE BEST rhythm guitarist of ALL TIME....RIP Mal...we miss you...
He will never be beaten.Just fabulous.
Didn’t know he died. Rest in peace
Toute mon enfance est partie avec Malcom.
I was so upset! Gonna see them in July at Wembley, so this will be the greatest way to honour his memory!😢😊
HOLD ON: there are guitar players and bass players on this list and no Lennon & McCartney? This list is as believable as the sun rising in the west...
Paul has 1.5 billion dollars, too, lol 😆
@@azzajames7661 exactly... 🤣
Accuracy means nothing.
The owner of the channel is just out to make money $💲$
So more comments please 🙏
this list is bullshit
Yeah, Johnny Cash is a guitarist apparently, but neither McCartney or Lennon are??? What about Angus magically having $50 million - 50% - more than Malcolm? How did that happen? Malcolm has song writing credits on every song and was the driving force in the band...
Agree with everyone saying this is nonsense!
It’s probably hard to put together though. In the meantime, just use other sources.
Paul McCartney's net worth is 1.5 billion I didn't see him listed but I thought he would have been #1 since they listed bassist as well as Guitarists.
Paul Mac Cartney is a bass player
@AndyRoma68 there are other bassists are on the list.
@@AndyRoma68As well as a guitarist.
@@AndyRoma68and a guitarist
RIP Gary Rossington, Allen Collins and Malcon Young, Lynyrd Skynyrd and ACDC are some of my favorite bands
Lynyrd skynyrd forever
I'm a bit afraid that Keith Richards will outlive his wealth!!!
Where's Glen Campbell, Bob Dylan, Kurt Cobain, Paul McCartney, Jimmy Buffett, and John Lennon at?????
Or George Harrison?
Harrison's there. @@studleyjb3172
@@studleyjb3172 George Harrison is number 2.
Paul Mccartney play on bass guitar, not on guitar.
was j buffett known as a guitar player? or an entertainer? Campbell was both.
Jimi Hendrix 175 million , wow . He deserves 1 Billion , Over the TOP .
@Lazarett •
And Jimi Hendrix couldn't even read music or play a guitar
That's Funny !
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
mid
It’s how much money they made. He didn’t make nearly as much money as others did. The numbers shown in this video are ridiculously wrong anyway.
I don’t believe he have that much money lie lie lie
Randy Rhoads did pretty good considering he was only 25 when he died. Although like Jimi, I doubt he had that much at the time of his death.
No he didn’t
Most money is made touring. Hendrix net worth today is not like the people alive today who have been touring.
This is completely unreliable.
Skip 10 secs every 3rd musician and you get it done in about a min or so
Yeeeeeaaa... I don't think this correct
I didn’t see John Lennon?
@@thrashmetal00I did the same thing. Haha
Total horseshit! Where's Lennon and McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Little Steven, Nil Lofgren, The Edge, Mike Campbell, K.K.Downing, Janick Gers, Rory Gallagher....there are literally hundreds of people who've strummed a guitar on a record (if you're gonna include Johnny Cash - fantastic Artist, but not exactly feted as a 'guitar hero' - then you've got to include even the likes of Bono, or Bruce Dickinson (he briefly plays guitar in Live After Death). And don't get me started on the supposed amounts mentioned. Arbitrary at best.
No way!! Eric Johnson just 1 million 😵
This is lie. For exemplo George benzinho 5M.. no exist
Ritchie Blackmore in Deep purple time he is a great guitarist
Paul is number one in riches bass player list.
John Lennon
And John Paul Jones is the greatest!
It's just good to see some of the best guitarists. Shocked to see how many have left us.
It's very disappointing to watch the whole video and not seeing Lennon & McCartney on the very top.
I didn't see Mick Mars on the list
Dear Lord your list is incomplete! U2 guitarist Dave Evans, you probably know him as THE EDGE! Has a net worth of 455 Million dollars. 22 Grammy Awards, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and absolute guitar LEDGEND
Some may question whether he should be called a guitarist.
Right? This guy put out a previous video on the richest bass players and Adam Clayton, the bassist in U2, was in the top 5 richest bass players. Logic stands to reason that U2's guitarist would be near the top of the richest guitar players list as well. Don't don't why he was excluded.
How about John Mayer
Absurdo, The Edge com 22 grammys e não está na lista rsrsrs
The edge...really? two string wonder? U2 has money because of facebook investments.
Merci pour cette superbe vidéo ❤
Lie lie lie lie they make way more money
Glen Cambell
no fucking way Roy Clark was worth just 1 million.
Actually about 10 million...
That's what I thought
Roy Clark and others were not big money makers in the 60's and 70's. Yes he made great money back then but not like entertainers today.
What about Carlos Santana? 😳🙄I listening to his music since I was 10 years old now I’m 60 and can play a lot of music too.
He's #40 on the list
And he is Mexican not from the U.S.
There are so many I've never even heard of and those that aren't there that should be. Like Maurice Gibb. He was an amazing bass guitar player. He learned everything from Paul McCartney. Who we know us a great bass player and he's not here
Gary Moore is just A Genius of a Guitarist soul, blues! 🎸.. so understated,.
Where's Rory Gallagher
And Rick Neilson
here,here!!
and richie Kotzen
Who?
This is the proof that the better you play is not a direct reason to earn more money...my god, Keith Richards, what a 'leader'...
The actual numbers are pure guess work and mostly bollocks. But the principle is very simple: the guitar players who make the most money are the ones that write the most popular songs. The way music money works, the record companies take 50% for "material rights". The other 50% goes to "publishing rights" which is were the actual musicians get their money from (aside from gig fees and session work which are one-off payments). The publishing rights to a song are divided in all sorts of ways by agreement but typically they go about 50% to whoever wrote the lyrics and 50% to whoever wrote the melody and the chords. Sometimes people are given a share if they contribute a particular riff or solo, if they are famous/exceptional. So Kieth Richards is rich because he has written dozens of kick arse songs that have sold in massive numbers over 50 years. It is much, much more difficult to write a kick arse song than it is to play a fancy guitar solo.
To prawda,no i Angus Young jest miernym gitarzystą!
@@Gregorovitch144 So writing lyrics is by far the easiest and fastest way to make big money? You don't even have to sing yourself, but you have to be able to sell the lyrics to the right person?!😉
@@carstenmanz302 You think writing lyrics is easy? There are a million guitar players, not so many lyricists. Lyricists are gold dust. But yeah, Bernie Taupin wrote all Elton John's lyrics, for example, and he probably gets an equal 50% of the songwriting royalties for all Elton John albums. Taupin is said to be worth $200m.
Because you included guitarists who were primarily singers, then Bob Dylan is the richest guitarist.
You missed Paul McCartney-Bass, John Lennon-Guitar, Chris Squire- Bass, and Nuno Bettencourt-guitar!
And where's Hank Marvin of the Shadows
I saw the list of wealthiest bass players and Paul was about 1 billion.
@@memyself4ever1 Yes, that's true, and John Lennon's estate is worth 700 mil.
Two guitar players who should be near or at the top of this list but seem to be missing are John Lennon and The Edge. Since both have 50% song writing share (which is were the real money comes from for musicians) for the entire catalogues of the Beatles and U2 respectively I'm sure they've both made more money than even Keef. Also Bob Dylan is missing, he cashed out for $500m for his back catalogue rights recently.
Yea , a couple misses.
Angus Young - 5’ 2”
Malcolm Young - 5’ 3”
Short in stature but giants of hard rock
No Glenn Campbell! He was a legendary guitarist!
yes he was. member of the Wrecking Crew. incredible flat picker
Where's
Ace Frehley
Paul Stanley
Gene Simmons

Ace Frehley's Net Worth: As of 2023, estimated net worth is a staggering $35 million.
Paul Stanley is an American rock musician who has a net worth of $200 million.

Jimmy Buffett played guitar, and was a BILLIONAIRE!!!!😂
He was rich because he invented the "All you can eat" buffetts namend after him.

Nobody really knows to a certain degree how much anyone has , but Keith, Jimmy Page , were rich in the early sixties, most of their money came from writing the music , i would say the top ten richest guitarists have to be , jimmy page, George Harrison , Keith Richards, the edge, Eric Clapton Brian May Pete Towsend, Tony Iomi, Prince, Lindsay Buckinham,
Not in that order .
Lennon, McCartney, Roger Waters, and the Margarita guy, The Edge,
jimmy page?wrong¡he got really good money after he started led zeppelin. before he was just a session player and sometimes producer.that made him pay the sessions for the first zeppelin album, but he wasn't rich in the early 60's
@@carlosalbertogomez1391 Page was not even rich in the mid 60's. Wasn't until the late late 60's where the dough started rolling in for Page. Sixty's entertainers never made the kind of money of today. Lennon Mccartney were millionaires in 1964, and they were the exception. Jagger Richards by mid 60's great money, and certainly by late 60's big money for The Stones. By late late 60's and early 70's big money for The Who and Zep.
I agree
There are some good guitarists up there but very few master all the stringed instruments like Roy Clark. That man could not only play he was a master of alot of stringed instraments
I didn't see Mick Jones of Foreigner on this list. What an oversight!
Keith Richards is the world richest guitarist
Gilmour and Hendrix top 5 at least!
Nils Lofgren , Steven VanZandt BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN?
Link Wray made 87 million dollars from the songs he made, and he had a hard time seeing. A true testament to rock and roll. R.I.P.
ROBIN TROWER = PRICELESS . ✨🎸✨
Zakk Wylde?? Wez Borland?? Dean DeLeo?? Izzy Stradlin? Gilby Clarke? Jack White??? Richie Sambora? Orianthi? :))

A bass player is a guitarist don't you think @@san4o21
You have to state that this is what THEIR ESTATE is worth.....This will clarify your claim about how RICH they are.....DEAD PEOPLE are not rich....they are dead....even if they are guitarists.
We are talking of net worth, assets less liabilities, when they are alive.
cant buy me love, and cant take it with you!
Where is Paul Simon and Barry Gibb??
Most of them deserve much more. Ry Cooder especially! Not even as wealthy as a couple of obscure friends of mine. I envy them all. They brought joy to millions, even billions and probably live the way they dream of.
I wish they would put the band that each guitarist plays in. That would be nice.
How is Joe B worth 24 million when he has more than double that in guitars and amps?
Italians are self proclaimed so good with the guitar yet only Al DiMeola makes this list
Everyone else went for pizza...
No way Allan Holdsworth was ever worth $5M, he was constantly broke. His widow couldnt even afford a funeral for him and had to ask for donations.
I was about to comment this.
yeah but ppl are still buying that instructional, and he's not around to blow the cash, she's probably ok now.
Paco de Lucia tiene más de 10 millones fácilmente. Se ha tirado 30 años llenando teatros por todo el mundo y eso sin mencionar que tenia todos los derechos de autor de las canciones de Camarón.
He must ask Keith Richards for some lessons LOL
Pero no ha sido del mercado anglosajón que es donde está la riqueza
tu mismo lo has dicho.... teatros.
I found it interesting that you didn’t have Eric Johnson on here. One of my favorite musicians.
18 seconds in he's there.
Where is Mick Mars and Richard Krupse
Una lista irreal y surrealista. Faltan unos, con mas y sobran con menos...
You left out Glen Cambell????!!
Ronnie Wood, really. Brian may, really
JIMMY HENDRIX SMOKES THEM ALL.
ENOUGH SAID!!😂
Thats a joke just listen to the songs that StevieRayVaughn and Jimi both played SRV is worlds better on strings, it's not even close.
He didn’t have no money
No way any of this is real! Some of these have been in music for over 50 years and only have 5-12 mil? Don’t believe it.
I don’t believe it either
Un guitarrista Venezolano de nombre Alirio Diaz, aquí en España se le concidera uno de los grandes.
Well I like justin Hayward . He is still writing and performing at 76. Worth 10 mil
me too. been a moody since 1970. saw them 4 times and Justin solo once.
Удивительно, что Слэш в 3 раза обошел Блэкмора.
If you're going to include Johnny Cash, who I am a big fan of - but was not a guiarist by any stretch- than you should have included Willie Nelson, who is truly a unique and gifted player.
If the list starts at $0.2 ($200,000) everyone in the world that owns a house and has ever picked up a guitar should be on the list.
News reports at his death said Tom Petty was worth 25 mil. I think these are way overstated. Maybe the ones in huge bands (Beatles, Stones, AC/DC, Metallica, Queen etc) are uber rich.
Ritchie Blackmore is top ten of all time 🎸😀
Top 1
It’s true, just ask him 😂
Robin Trower and Michael Schenker are both underrated guitar players.
0:15
Dick Dale : Taxi theme.
Rick Derringer: Hulk Hogan theme
Just shows money doesn’t make you the best!
No Matthias Jabs and no Rudolf Schenker, but yes Michael Schenker?? Most guitarists on your list would call those guys 'legends', not to mention hugely successful.
No way Mick Taylor is 300k worth.
I wondered about that but it seems from what I've been able to find, it could be true. Or not. Most sites list him at the $300k mark but networthpost has him at $70 million.

Так же, как и для Энди Скотта, Мэнни Чарльтона, Дэйва Хилла, Руди Шенкера и Маттиаса Джаббса, да и всех "бедных" не упомнишь!
Most of the money that Slash earned probably went up his nose.
Bruce Springteen estaba en la lista ? 😊
As is known Jimi Hendrix himself had seen very few of his 170 plus mil dollars
Live was too short..... 😞
Money has different value each decade.
70s guitarists were reacher than nowadays
Dickhead. It's what they are worth now not what they were worth in whatever era though were in.
Having said that, a woeful list, inaccurate, full of errors and also has bass players (and I know a bass guitar is a guitar but.....)
One last time: Edward van Halen is born in The Netherlands, so he's Dutch.
RIP Albert Collins. The best forever
The few that I know are off for a fact leads me to question the others.
Brian slash❤
Hard to believe...😮
Easy to see: Money and talent have no direct correlation.
Sammy Hagar has got to be on this list north of 100 million
Closer to 300 Million - This list is for entertainment and no one knows exactly how rich these musicians are - at least they got paid well
Well elvis played a little too...
Ed Sheeran? Taylor Swift? Nuno Bettencourt?
Theres no way slash is way down there below no names
10:20 my favorite guitarist. Knopfler!!! Have you seen his new album One Deep River?
Hahaha now i know why Richie Sambora is very Underrated hahaha
Carlos Santana is from Mexico, it's wrong here.
it just doesnt matter,it just doesnt matter,it just doesnt matter
I can’t believe Paco was only a million. Sad. Should have been double that of Richards.
As others have mentioned no McCartney or Lennon nor any mention of Steve Harris, Gene Simmons Ace Freely and the list goes on.
What no Paul McCartney he’d be #1
it just goes to show that music and perception of wealth is all subjective.
Id rather have a Buick Riviera. Change of subject. Lol🏁 Forgot about Ted Nugent Detroit Muscle. Playing that Gibson Birdland.
Que des musiciens de notre époque 😂 eh oui let there be rock !
