      I'm 46 and my first bike is a 2023 R7. Super fun bike. Not crazy powerful and good for the twisties and riding around town.

    I started on a mt07, i saw and still watching allot of videos about techniques and defensive riding. I think its just, the person who buy a motorcycle in my opinion has to know the basic about how an engine works, better saying, know what a clutch does🤣. My weakness its turning in tight places, i worked my ass off for years to buy my bike and i will do everything to not drop it, if i hade some more money i would buy an second handed 125 to do tight gymcanas but its not possible so. Agree with you anyone can start on anything, but have some knowledge about trail breaking and what target fixation is. Keep up! nice video!

    Started on an R7, it’s not fast, but it’s quick. Know your clutch, respect the torque. Best experience I could’ve asked for. Now on a Panigale V2 Bayliss, world of a difference, all thanks to the R7

    Started on a 2023 ninja 400 until I got in a hit n run. Just got a gsxr-750 and the bike is a night and day difference. I can hit 84 mph in first gear and first gear on this bike is QUICK! Pretty sure it’s like 100 hp difference. I don’t think a 1000 is even viable after throwing my leg over this beast. Nice video. Cheers and ride safe everyone 🤙

      For how light the 400 is. I highly recommend starting on a bike like this. While the engine breaking can feel a bit much at times when learning the weight alone will make the bike more fun.

    I have had an r3 and been riding it for 3 weeks and dirt bikes and 4 wheelers since I was 8 u think after about a year of riding my r3 I could handle a mt07?

      I went from a Grom to an MT-07 after 6 months. Took about a week or two of daily riding to really adjust. But yeah, 100%
      I still own the Grom, lots of fun on that thing

      Buy the R7. I just started riding and I bought an R7, if you are responsible, you'll have a lot of fun without dying😂

      @@veizii6096 no problem bro💪🏽. If you buy an R3, you will regret it after 3 months. The R7 will keep you entertained for a lot of time, and then in 2 o 3 years you could buy the new R9 hoping that it will come out

      @@raffoc_610 yeah that’s my thought exactly I didn’t want to have to go thru multiple bikes before keeping one for a couple years. And yeah I hope the r9 comes out by then 😭but I want a bmw s1000rr tbh

    As a very first bike, thats probably not a good bike. But if you've ridden bike before, like a grom or a dirtibike, then yeah. You can, and should skip the whole 250-400cc class and do this bike.

    yea you right, I'm gonna go for an R1 as my beginner bike instead !!! thx for the advice !

  • @markosz22
    @markosz22 Před 4 dny +1

    Yea, it all comes down to who is buying the bike and for what purpose. An 18 year old after a weekend course? Probably no. I wouldn't feel safe on ANY bike in traffic just after a 2 day course in a parking lot.
    But as you mentioned in EU the driving education and getting license is very different. I jumped straight to the unrestricted category license (as 30 yo.) and it was 10 hours on practice course + exam and then another 30 hours in traffic + exam to get the license, the bike also had to meet minimum weight and performance requirements so we learned on a bike that is appropriate for the license category.
    Personally I wanted to get an R7, but just around the time I got the license they bumped up the price of it significantly (at least here in Hungary) and it cost the same as an MT-09, so I went with the MT-09 as my first bike. I was nervous at first, but it's very manageable and easy to handle IF I am not an idiot. I only had a few scary moments when I was testing my limits 😅
