Both of the cylinder heads I just took off a SBC 305 were cracked. Praying there is no block warpage but I’m guessing there may be if the heads heated up so much they cracked
How much is ok to use with MLS gasket? How much to not even brother taking to machine shop? V8 (straight 4 x2) and V6 are different, right?
Hi Scott and thanks for sharing. Is there other acceptable straight edges we can use? Cheers from Motown.
Why are you pushing downwards on your straight edge? Everyone else says that might falsify the reading, since there are som flex in that tool as well.
No need to worry about flex with what he is using. Thinner one, perhaps.
that was my first thought @@robertclymer6948
Filler gauge 2000 mm tell me please?
it's 0,05 mm
Scott is using an .002 feeler gauge on this one. Convert to mm with a chart.
Always use .005mm
