On our road trip from Bangkok to amazing Isan region in Northeast Thailand, we visited Phimai Ancient City and the 350 years old banyan tree Sai Ngam. Isan region really surprised us and we enjoyed this part of untouristic Thailand. Phimai Ancient Khmer Temple is not crowded at all and truly gives a historic experience. Sai ngam is the oldest banyan tree in Asia and Thai people believe spirits live in banyan trees. One tree covers a huge area and it's impossible to tell where it begins or ends. Hi, we are Tugce and Gokay, Turkish couple travel bloggers who travel the world and live in different destinations. We are part digital nomads, part phd students and part beach bums.
