- We're back with more CT5V Blackwing content and this week we wrapped up @StreetSpeed717's CT5V Blackwing that you can actually win! Last time we installed the Magnuson 2650 and made great numbers on just the factory tune but now its Andrew's turn to tune it and with a fresh set of @Kookstv Headers on it, it is time to see what bolt on power this Bad boy can really make!

The kooks you put on my truck 5 years ago still look great.
Andy, I truly enjoyed watching the progressive build up. I never even knew this particular model car existed let alone the massive power it generates. It will be somewhat of a sleeper for people like me who think of Cadillac's as the old man's cruising luxury vehicle. MM
Big takeaway here is it’s awesome that you can do some pretty serious bolt ons to a global b car without tuning and it’ll keep itself straight. That’s a big deal for GM late model stuff.
Hey Andrew absolutely love the video so glad no cats were killed in this video
It would be so cool to win this car
Love the progression. Seeing the stock tune learn is pretty neat. Grabbed some entries!!!
Love this car. I'd be happy with the blower swap in the previous video. Maybe make a lid that looks like the stock one to really be incognito.
Why do people like being dishonest about their builds? I don't get it.
Hard to make a blower cover like the factory one just cause of the size of it. Don’t quote me if im wrong but i believe the stock blower is a 2.3 and the maggy is a 3.0 blower in size. Definitely some fab work but 3D scanner could possibly do the trick
@@Dexterboy24 The stock is a super tiny 1.7 and I believe the Maggie is a 2.6 or so. Either way, the design/look would be similar, not the size.
There is a company that makes a 2650 Lid that looks similar to stock.
@@LIMuscleBlackdevil you definitely have to redesign it though. If anything raise it a good 1 1/4 inch or bigger so the flow of the blower wont be too thrown off
Love it when you colab with the Eray hater. Andrew, I think you should have a shop in Florida.
Great video, perfect blend of car learning data along with just the right amount of humour. ❤❤
Love the blackwing content! My build is coming in this month cant wait! You guys should do a test video of what there is to be gained if much at all with larger DI injectors. I know you know the answer but it would be a killer video I would be willing to buy the injectors!
Great Video!🏁🏁
What a sick build!
Love the channel Adam. The powerband of this motor with the 2650 and headers is sublime. The flat TQ curve is beautiful. It's NOT a light car, though. My C6 Z06 stock (at its rated 505 HP) has a better power to weight ratio (including a 200 lb. driver) than a 707 HP Hellcat. Now, with a TVS2300 and headers, my C6 Z06 has a better power to weight ratio than this tuned 2650 CT5. Weight is the enemy. I suspect making the CT5-V lighter would require a bunch of exotic materials and drive the price up substantially. Certainly Dodge doesn't care at all about the weight of their musclecars. Just an observation. Lowering the weight pays dividends in braking and cornering as well, though.
It's a different dynamic. The CT5-V is a capable family sedan. Giving it the ability to take it into almost any situation. Now, I've personally taken my C6's back in the day on trips, even to Canada, but I can't do that now with kids. For those who want Z06 performance, comfort, and space, the CT5-V is the clear winner in the GM World.
Wow stainless steel doesnt stain.
THE MORE YOU KNOW 🌈😂😂
CSP,y'all rock! 😂Peace
Which green cats are on this car? I see a couple different green cat options on looks website.
cool stuff
is it me or does the cts v2 sedan look the best
Of all the performance shops, you guys have the best content. Always funny.
Hahahaha “streetspeed he’s a cat guy and we will add two more cats to his collection” that was epic
Nice car but LMP done one on stock blower that made more!!! WOW
Who cares. Different mods make different power levels.
@@LsXUndergroundother car was on ported blower. With bolt ons. So yeah the other had less mods
@@keithjones7304just went back and watched the 5 CT5V BW videos they got up and the most they made was 689 with a ported blower and headers which is less than the 730 this car made. But again it doesn’t matter
Andrew! A LOT IS 2 WORDS fix your board😂 car is beautiful
What the smart ass haters who probably drive Prius don't get is, it's a 50+ hp gain but also extra performance from not heat soaking near as bad so could become a 100hp gain after 5or more pulls etc
What's the cost of an upgrade like this?
the blue crayons taste like blue
With a cam it would lose some low end toque correct ?
Maybe, but on a supercharger like this is very minimal. If you were thinking about the fuel issue, the cam is the right idea as you can upgrade the fuel lobe and then push quite a bit further.
Do you think all that heat will melt those green cats like it often does on the Camaros?
That's more so a function of the tune. What happens is that tuners don't pay attention to final timing with iat reduction and end up running it too low. This releases a lot of heat into the exhaust and kills them. When you can run a bit, you won't kill them.
Guess you didn’t want to answer my comment from last week about price and being cost effective.
I guess u didnt listen to the last video because it was between 12 to 15k 🤷🏾♂️ paying attention is beneficial
Music is like Mario met dubstep lol horrible but I’m here for the power baby
Giggity
So confirmed no cel with catted headers?
I put on at least 50 miles without a tune revision or clearing codes. And it has no check engine light. I have been talking with Mike and haven't had one reported yet
Wonder how many Jarheads got offended or hungry in the first minute of this video 😅
Love that you don’t blur out the speedometer like other wussies
Is this CA CARB legal? 😂😂😂😭
This guy a mega nerd
Not sure why people give a fuck about a “hero” pull you’ll never get those numbers in a street race
That's why for videos like these I like to show hot and cold numbers. Sometimes I use it to compare that way I take heat soak out of the equation to accurately determine gains.
First!😅
Second my friend
@@LIMuscleBlackdevil Nice!
I still don’t understand why you guys do this…. WHO CARES WHO’S 1ST
@@DefinitelyNotYouThankGod Thanks for caring bro!
@@DefinitelyNotYouThankGod Is that a thing? Didn’t realize I inadvertently entered into some sort of CZcams competition
