i have tried this in some of my big cubes, and V seems to slow them down, although i already had dignatras in them, i put X on one of my 3x3s, and it went from uncontrollable to way too slow. Compound X works too well for my liking, and idk what i think of compound V.

No experienced cuber ever drops a well setup magnitude flagship 3x3.
what if you hand it to a friend who says can you solve it if I mix it up, and then they drop it. Anyway, the ridges are for grip and they are pretty effective in that manner
not really, for megaminx the ridges are because you finger can slip when turning the layer, not for dropping it, making sure you can always turn the layer every time. but that isn't a problem on 3x3, also if i was to get the GTS3M, i would get rid of the ridges.
Moyu just fixed a problem that didn't exist.

I'd highly recommend Mystic, especially for big cubes
Yeah I found it weird that they discontinued Compound V because it was meant to be an alternative or replacement for DNM-37

They discontinued compound v which in my opinion was a better version of dnm
i accidentally got sent a compound v lube with my cube. before you put compound v in your cube, the smell of the lube is mint,(like mouthwash) and the smell stays in your cube for a LONG time.
