Sanremo is NOT the italian selection for Eurovision. It's a competition on its own. The winner can decide wheter or not to attend the Eurovision.
Pretty sure he knows that, he is Italian after all.
I don’t think it would be a smart idea refusing the Eurovision stage for the winner as it would be such a wasted potential and frankly I know it but Rai is the first one who decided to use San Remo also as a national selection as it would engage a wider global audience, just a strategic marketing decision that worked very well for Italy
@@YourCacnea I remember that Gli Stadio won Sanremo (I think with UN GIORNO MI DIRAI), but refused to participate at Eurovision. But yes, most years the winner of Sanremo has also represented Italy at Eurovision.

It's not a selection for eurovision, it's a separate festival and after eurovision was born, it was decided that sanremo winner goes to eurovision
I’m Italian, I truly know the history of San Remo but at the same time obviously every artist knows that in case of victory they have an amazing chance of representing Italy at the Eurovision so it would be kinda “stupid” to make a song that could be liked just by the Italian community and not on a larger scale ( as the general tastes are very different nowadays );
I would say it would be such a wasted potential.
In TuTa Gold’s case there was a nice idea on the back but the development of the song wasn’t good, he had no backup singers helping him with the verses and overall the lyrics were interesting and very generic during the song so everything took off the real likability of it unfortunately.
Before saying the lyrics are meaningless you should check them out first. For example, he talks about how people told him to go back to his country and that he needs tu change his last name.
Yeah but then u can’t talk about having 5 phones inside of your pants, you’ll just loose all the partially interesting lyrics, not doing great after really powerful songs in the recent years as I followed him since 2019 :/
Don't worry he's just not a fan of Mahmood or maybe has differend taste, this song is wow and a lot of people love it besides not everyone has good taste🤣
I am not a big fan of rap, but I must also admit that Mahmood is a great performer, even though his music is not quite my taste. Well, I am 50 yo and probably not really his audience. But he is not bad, as I said. Just not quite my taste. My favorites at Sanremo were 1) Loredana Berté, 2) Il Volo, 3) Angelina Mango, 4) Renga and Nek (they only arrived 25th LOL) and 5) Irama....I had Mahmood around the 15th place ;)
i would be curious to see your reaction to the second night performance. i thought i didn’t like the song when i saw night one, but after hearing the regular track and seeing night 2, i don’t know what happened on night one that he was so off key but i like the song a lot more now

Yeah they did an interview to him after night one and he said he was too off key and was very sad and frustrated with his performance but then in night two he did amazing

@@YourCacnea È proprio noioso dover fare una specie di sudoku per capire un testo nella propria lingua, come succede sempre con Mahmood. Però in questo caso vale un po' più la pena, il suono delle parole è azzeccato e segue i significati, nonostante le solite incertezze quando usa i registri bassi.
Honestly I want to know honlw everybody at San Remo looks so good and in expensive looking clothes. I guess they havd sponsors too? Italians are built different lol...
But i dont understand why Loredana Berte gets ranked high and Ana Oxa got low a placement last year. I much prefered her

L’ho risentita proprio sta sera, non è una brutta canzone, specialmente il ritornello ma pecca di troppe cose. L’avesse cantata un cantante “generico”, senza volere essere offensivo verso gli artisti in generale, l’avrei apprezzata di più.. nel caso di un cantante come Mahmood avrei voluto vedere qualcosa in più, spero lei possa capire💜
Okay i have many opinions on this and many ppl may hate me, the studio version was nice, catchy and enjoyable, but something was missing, i was hoping the performance will cover that, but sadly it was a downgrade for me, he was off key many times, it didnt sound good at all, i think its time for Mahmood to rest.. he already participated 2 times so 🙃
He used to eat every stage with his performances but it’s okay to be sleepy for once, it was just a self-promo participation probably and that’s fine

Great artist, fabolous voice but agree with you: Not the best this year...
I think he always has interesting production but im a little annoyed by his voice and style personally and the song sounds choppy. Not bad, dont love it.
