How he says that, it breaks my heart. Merlin tries to tell Uther that it is not his fault that he has magic.
This show is so much about tolerance. I love that.
I imagined coming out to parents be like this, it breaks my heart how people manage to keep such a big secret for so long...

it is sad. she was so sweet. I loved her all along, even when she became "the evil witch". she's my favorite character, exept Merlin.

Ya know Uther’s hatred really shows through on the season 5 episode where he comes back as a ghost. Never once did it hit him that Merlin is the most powerful sorcerer to ever walk the earth but the fact that his been in Camelot and Arthur’s side ALL these years and never once did he plot the downfall of Camelot, he did not try to kill anyone or cause chaos. He stayed by Arthur’s side and helped him at all costs, Merlin is the real reason Arthur is still alive and Uther can’t see that. He just sees Merlin as a threat, someone that needs to be disposed of. It’s so sad that his hatred blinds him that much

I was born with it really impressed me.
Everyone is quoting their favorite epic lines while I'm here thing about how sad that last line is when Merlin says "he'll never know who I really am". It's so heartbreaking to hear, Merlin is so amazing and a wonderfully written character
Edit: he's not perfectly written mind you but he is well written

Une série vraiment exceptionnelle, passionnante !! Elle aurait méritée une plus large diffusion en France, sur une des grandes chaines publiques. Heureusement que, grâce à Internet, beaucoup ont pu voir les 5 saisons. Et c'était (c'est) magic ^^
When I heard that this was the last series part of me just died inside, this is my favourite show of all time. Me and my friends watch Merlin together every week, but now our little merlin club has become a merlin support group. :'(

This video is so beautifully made, but also knowing how the show ends, this video makes me equally parts happy, proud, hurt, and sad. I grieve for the characters who were played so well they felt like real people, like friends I went along with on the journey.

This is making me imagine how awesome it'd have been if Merlin never had to hide his powers. Given, most episodes would have been over in 5 minutes, but what an awesome 5 minutes.
