Hi
The fact that Snape is powerful than all of them
Just finished chapter 12 this morning on my way to work. Well done everyone! I like the angle you take on Peter and how he turns to the death eater side. Also, James arc is beautiful. Siriusly 🙂 My goodness there are things I didn't see coming, when you said there was going to be a twist boy was there a twist! And the map! Genius!
I was wondering, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, could you make more? I mean you could take us right up to the moment Harry is dropped on the Dursley's doorstep. Think about it... there is more story to tell. And I know you have a willing audience.
Thank you for expanding the Potterverse for all of us.
Amazing short film and awesome cast! Snape looks like he could be a really good real life V from Devil May Cry

Too much.
The Marauders bullied Snape throughout his years at Hogwarts, and Lily was fully aware of this taking place, and yet when Snape decided to give them a taste of their own medicine and fight back, she immediately went to James’s defense treating him like he’s the victim all along. Given the intense rivalry James, and Snape had over the years, it’s hard to think Lily is still bias towards Snape, especially when he never wanted a confrontation!
One, this video isn't canon.
Two, the reason why Lily ended it was because Snape was essentially a Death Eater.
Three, The Marauders and Snape had a rivalry. It wasn't a one-sided bullying.
@@eternallucifer7709 Regardless if it’s canon or non-canon is irrelevant. If you read the books, then surely you know that the bullying was totally one-sided; James and Sirius calling Snape, “Snivellus” on a daily basis was proof enough. Snape completely dismissed Lily’s perceived notion of heroism James displayed when he ‘supposedly’ saved him from being killed by Remus who was a experiencing lycanthropy, but in actuality he was doing it solely out of self-preservation!
@@jordanrobinson9064, it actually very much is as it is extremely inacurate.
"then surely you know that the bullying was totally one-sided"
I have read the books and they do not show that at all. If anything, it is Snape who makes it look like that where he goes so far as saying he was ganged up on 4 v1, which with everything we know is clearly not true.
"James and Sirius calling Snape, “Snivellus” on a daily basis was proof enough"
No, that just proves they were indeed nasty to him, it doesn't prove at all Snape didn't do anything. The guy literally created a dark spell to slice James head off, which he used in SWM. Even after James changed and stopped hexing people for fun, Snape still went after him. Does this look like a one-sided relationship to you?
"Snape completely dismissed Lily’s perceived notion of heroism James displayed when he ‘supposedly’ saved him from being killed by Remus who was a experiencing lycanthropy, but in actuality he was doing it solely out of self-preservation!"
Yes, Snape dismissed that. Just like he dismissed any possibilities that Sirius was innocent and was more than ready to throw to a Dementor's kiss just because he hated him from his Hogwart years. Just like he dismissed the idea that Harry wasn't like his father, a trouble maker who was full of himself, even though everyone, Dumbledore included, was saying he was seeing only what he wanted.
See what I'm saying? Using Snape as a reference, especially for the werewolf incident, is a no go cause Snape is adamant in his view that the Marauders were evil and lived to torment him, rejects any idea of their innocence, and will throw an innocent man to one of the worst fates possible simply because he hates him. He even believed Lupin was in with the werewolf incident, which we know for a fact isn't true.
@@eternallucifer7709 🥱
@@jordanrobinson9064
Are you out of your mind. You do realise that in canon, Snape was doing the equivalent of joining the Hitler youths despite being half Jewish, right? The marauders were bullies, but he was far from an innocent victim
I love the idea that Voldemort just hangs out in bars, taking shots, making small talk, trying to recruit.
That's the best way to do things
Trying to recruit HAHQHQH

The one from AVPM probably does.
I mean that's how Hagrid ended up with a dragon egg...

Hehhehe yessir

Yeah that’s the best
Smh, Snape could’ve won instantly with ‘accio glasses’
You comment made my night 😂😂😂
Maybe but in the books James is told as the best snitch catcher so he might just have the reflexes to catch his glasses before snape got them.
i think wizards enchant there glasses to stop that from happening
Lmao
CodeZeeZ
Where can I find this in the book?
Everyone fit in their role so perfect especially Lupin. He was the thinker of the group, sensitive and the only one who was against the mobbing of Severus. Even if he always helped his friends. 'James this is going to far.' Remus hates it, he don't want to fight. He knows there are enough fights in the war which is to come. And he was the only one who doesn't call Severus Snivellus in the battle.
I love the creativity of the spells. Like James arrow spell.
The fact they used Demonfire...it's dark magic too as we learned. And if the spell have hit Severus, he would have been ashes. But like how they controlled it together shows how powerful their skills are.
There are more than 'Avada Kedavra' to kill other wizards, mabye in the fights people forget this.
And like her other fan film 'The greater good' everything fits and seems so real. This shows how the events could happened. And Srius who was always on James back 'Having fun yet?'. Wormtail who only follows stronger ones. The dynamics perfectly showed!!!
James also said 'Severus Please.'
And Severus survived them all. The marauders died in reverse. Prongs, Padfoot, Moony and wormtail.
Even the time Snape was in the order his skills like flying and dark magic helped him but this is the only one what I am not absolutely sure of.
So if we see this we can understand how hard for Snape was it to see Harry everyday. Harry looked like James. But he had to protect him because he loved Lilly 'You have your mothers eyes.'
Are you commenting or writing an essay

@@WolfKingHuttser in the actual books shape would never beat all marauders at once. This was made by a bunch of snaps fanboys
Snape was a pretty evil character at times - he didn’t give a monkeys if Neville and his parents got murdered, or James and Harry. He only cared about Lily. He’s certainly not a hero. I love how complicated and conflicted he is. He chose the dark arts and death eaters over Lily - I often thinks that’s over looked. She didn’t chose James over him, he chose them over her.
@@slipperyjivemonkey Agreed. He was an evil character. But it makes sense why. He was bullied harshly and rejected by the only person who liked him back (at some point) - his intention was not to choose death eaters over Lily (that's clear from when he changes sides just to protect Lily - he valued her life so much that he would offer "anything"), but to become more powerful people so he can stand up for himself. He was too lonely that he had no real friends to show him the right direction. So for someone with that suffering and no one to tell not to go to the dark side, it's natural that he would go to the dark side.
Anyways, he payed for the evil stuff he did... I believe being forced to protect the child of your life ruining nemisis for the rest of your life is worse than dying.
@@parvjoshi8942 I’m not sure I agree with your logic. Snape knew more dark curses than most 7th years before he even went to Hogwarts. He was already interested in the dark arts. At Hogwarts he was described as being up to his eyes in them . Lily repeatedly encourage him not to hang out certain students (who went on to be death eaters), he continued to do so alienating himself from other students. He enjoyed and dismissed the bullying of other students by his friends. His love for Lily was always entirely ‘healthy either’. He was happy for her child to be murdered as long as she was spared … for him. At times it was more possession than love. Yes, he was a lonely child and being bullied only served to push him further into himself but let’s not forget he also bullied James - ‘never missed a chance to curse him’. He showed true remorse in the end but to dismiss his conscious choices and intentions diminishes his story arc. Snape was not made a death Eater by James. He chose that path. He had already started on that path before he came to Hogwarts. It’s important not to make excuses for him.

@Hrishikesh Purohit they just have diferent aptitudes, i imagine snape aced his potions exam. the talent to make up your own spells is another thing entirely.
@Hrishikesh Purohit I doubt even the best duelist can overcome being ganked up like that. James and Sirius are no joke, nor is snape. the outcome of a 1v1 fight is not clear.
While watching this, the four marauders does represent the four hogwarts houses in some way, except for Peter (in the future). Remus is the thinker and the smart one, Sirius is the brave and courageous one, a griffindor, Peter does represent a slightly shy hufflepuff and James represents the stereotyp of a slytherin bully. I mean yeah Peter betrayed them, but in the first scene in the pub it just feels this way.
Not to mention the Potter family is related to the Slytherin line and it goes back to the pervil brothers and then to the Salazar Slytherin himself just like Tom s familly line imagine if James knew he was in distant relation to the guy who he was fighting against and his son would be the one to finally vanish the dark lord Voldemort and that Harry is distant cousins with Voldemort

I love this short film. It shows the Marauders to be the bullies they are. Severus Snape is an intriguing character and it’s nice to see him on the winning side although it’s bittersweet that he loses Lily. Pity she didn’t arrive earlier when all four were ganged up against him. It is well cast, well scripted, well acted and the special effects were great. Well done to the film makers. Of course this is an alternate interpretation to the books but it provides the backstory and rationale for why Snape joined Voldemort.
Snape was a deatheater before this point. bullying a deatheater is good, Snape deserved it for aligning himself with dark wizards.
@@heorhiisokolovskyi I agree with point one and two but I don’t think I was their fault he became a death eater. Let me remind you that even with everything Lily said he would not leave the group of dark wizards at Hogwarts. I feel like he is too keen to the dark arts to quit.
@@heorhiisokolovskyi Because you expanded on that I think I understand what you were getting at and completely agree!
You forgot one thing: It is pure Snape fanboys fanservice that has little to no regard to what is actually written in the books.
@@heorhiisokolovskyi "One, he hasn't received the goddamn Dark mark which means he HAS NOT become a Death Eater yet."
Oh yes. You have the same ideals, use the same terms, pratice the same magic, but since you aren't an official member it's all good, even though join them as soon as you can. Yes, only having the essence of what it means to be a Death Eater is so much better than actually being a terorist.
"Two, James wanted to assault Severus because Severus wanted to try to make peace with Lily"
That never happened. This movie isn't canon. It actually completely disregards the canon.
"Three, it's their fault that Severus aligned with the Death Eaters."
Nope. The main reason why James and Sirius went after Snape was because he had the makings of a Death Eater from the very beginning. Snape walked that path all on his own.
"They've been bullying him since their first meeting at Hogwarts Express"
The guy said Slytherin was the way to go right in the middle of a war where a Slytherin in both blood and house was terrorizing everyone and the Slytherin was basically known as the house of dark wizards at that point. I think James' reaction was pretty normal.
"their reasoning for bullying Severus was "it's just the fact that he exists"."
Yes. He was into the dark arts, supported blood-supremacy, and coudln't even deny to Lily he was going to join Voldemort. Basically a symbol of everything James loathed in wizarding society. Synopsis of all of that? He exists. So, do you get the meaning of the phrase now?
"he isn't an arrogant showing-off spoiled bullying brat as James and Sirius are"
James and Sirius were like fred and george. Nowhere near as bad as you are painting them.
"And still Lily chose James"
James had let go of his troublemaking habits, to the point of becoming the headboy. It was this James Lily chose.
"over Severus and thus betrayed him"
Lily was no longer Snape's friend by that point.
" humiliated Severus by hanging him upside down and everyone saw his greying underpants"
Are you forgetting that it was Snape himself who created that spell in the first place when he was at Hogwarts?
"she almost laughed"
She has a momentary twitch in her mouth to a smile. Aside from that, she was full blown yelling at James. Yet you only look at smile that never even fully formed. Aren't we partial?
"taking out her wand and helping her friend out by lifting the curse and attacking them for they had attacked her best friend "
I highly advise you to reread that scene. Lily did take her wand out once she saw James wasn't leaving Snape alone.
"He's suffered from the other people's prejudices against Slytherins and Dark wizards more than anyone in this story."
When you want to be a Slytherin right in the middle of a war that is leaving Slytherin's image of evil in evidence, that prejudice is a bit inevitable.
James: "You wanna have a go at him?"
Remus: "What?!"
Peter: "No..."
Sirius: "Are you serious?"
James: "No you're Sirius. C'mon we're not gonna see him again."

The Marauders was probably the most humanized aspect of Hogwarts in the series. A bunch of legacies misrepresenting themselves and their families while attending Hogwarts. So much individual potential wasted due to having toxic friendship group. Love how you brought the human side out of Snape which was overlooked often. 👏👏👏👏👏
I think the only innacuracy is that in the books they said James grew out of that arrogance and picking stupid fights before graduating in Hogwarts. He may still loathed Snape, but I think he would come more to pity him and think he is not worth it. (I mean, I really hope that Remus and Black were being impartial and honest in that talk with Harry in the fourth book, BC otherwise James is one of the most despicable assholes in the whole series, who got rewarded for being evil, and managed to manipulate everyone around into believing he was a good guy)
Apart from that. This, was, the most thrilling, exciting and well made thing I have seen about Harry potter. It is amazing. It gave me the same shrills I felt with Harry chasing Snape after Dumbledore's death, and how he humiliates Harry proving how a masterful wizard truly fights.

This short film is brilliant and I would definitely recommend every hp fan who want to know more about maraunders and prof. Snape. Acting is amazing, plot is amazing! This is %100 canon in my eyes ❤
Person: only girls have an unpleasant time of the month
Remus Lupin: *ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT*
underrated
That was clever I will give you that😂
A girl editor thanks haha
Nice 💅
The biggest thing I took away from this comment is your Starkid pfp so you’re into starkid and hp and I love you
And I also liked How James said 'Severus please' begging him not to kill or hurt him completely contradicting how later Dumbledore says 'Severus please' begging Snape to kill him.
Yesss. I think Remus says it in the movie in the shrieking shack too.
wow, i never thought of it like that....
good one
So snape was into begging eh? 😏
Also Charity Burbage
Bravo! What a splendid little gem. Thank you for bringing this backstory to life. It really allows us to see what Snape went through giving him so much more richness. As well as taking some of the glean off of the purity of James and the other marauders giving so much more depth and humanity to the entire series. Excellent casting. Excellent all around. Cheers!
This is so iconic, I remember watching this the first time it came out. Now rewatching it again, makes me appreciate it even more. Everything about it is amazing, especially the acting🔥
Just the fact that Peter hesitates to help his friends, when they're battling Snape shows a lot about his character. I appreciate the foreshadow
You mean the fact, that he hesitates to strike from behind a guy who did him no wrong? Yeah, I think Peter is the most wholesome, the most moral and ethical person out of them four.
@@miloradowicz yeah
@@miloradowicz Not in this context, yes, he didn't want to fight, but that was out of fear, not morality.
@@Sai4651 out of fear?! Are you fucking dreaming?!?
"It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends."
Dumbledore about Neville in HP&tPS
Not only Peter realized how immoral was what his friends had done to Snape; unlike Lupin, he had the actual guts to act upon his morals and not just fold in half under their cruel wills. In recognition of all the wrong he might've been an accomplice to during his school years, Peter preferred to bare his weakness before Snape; turn the other cheek for Snape to hit if he so wished; show his unguarded backside for Snape to strike like Potter and Black so often did to Snape. And Snape actually understood Peter perfectly (unlike your delusional self); he understood and forgave Peter, that's why Snape chose to let him go unharmed.
@@miloradowicz I think its more he is a passive kind of person. Neville would have stood up to them. Peter stood by watching
The actor who played Peter was perfect
Tbf, they were all pretty amazing
I've always had a hard time picturing young Peter but this was perfect!

My anxiety for Snape this whole video: 📈📈📈
This was 6 years ago and I’m just finding out about it? This short movie is amazing! The marauders captured the mannerisms of the original cast. I’m not sure about James since we didn’t see him in action in the original movies so I couldn’t compare. But the other three! It’s exactly how they duel, especially Remus! 😱 And Snape! His acting was emotional! I could feel hate, hesitation, regret, longing. The editing and the effects were also amazing! I know I’m way too late but congratulations to the cast and production committee! ❤ Thank you for this. It was a pleasure to watch!
H.P. - "My father was a great man!"
S.S. - "Your father was a SWINE!"

Its actually very impressive how everyone there looks extremely convincing as younger versions of the characters seen in the movies, to the point that it could easily not be fan-made. The actor playing Peter just NAILED with his gestures and face expressions.
Alright so im not the only one noticing it. They are just amazing
Yes, congRATs to him ;)
Yeah I especially like him and Snape probably.
Well lily looks like she’s 40 but the others really nailed it.
The only character representation I didn't like was Voldemort. He would've looked like the Chamber of Secrets Tom Riddle, maybe a little bit more manly than boyish. But he wouldn't have looked the way he was portrayed in this film. Still, yes great character representations as far as the others go and it was very well made as well.
Amazing! The acting, the effects, the music - just che'f's kiss. Also, the Snape actor (apart from being an amazing actor) did really well with the wand movements. Quick and precise but not overdone. Really brilliant
That was amazing! Loved it!

Why is he crying blood, should I be concerned

Actually in the books Dumbledore actually implied that Snape WAS treating her like a prize.

The CGI and the acting were both surprisingly good in my opinion and I love that Voldemort reveal at the end. The actors also were great for looking like younger selves of the characters. This was a great little 25-minute story about the Marauders and Snape. You did a pretty good job guys.
This was so well done. And the actors were all great, and played the characters so well

I love the detail that Remus was the only one who didn't join in the chanting of calling Snape "Snivellous". He was the kindest of the Marauders and was likely the only one that didn't bully Snape.
Didn't do him much good as Snape still hated him and ousted him as a werewolf costing Remus his job.
He was also the only one to actually hit Snape with a spell, and didn’t even try to hurt him with it.
Well maybe because snape knew his secret(he was werewolf) and he was grateful to snape since he didn't tell anybody
@@brandonmedina494 he did it after he tried to hurt the trio
@@hopeworldian1112 What do you mean “tried”. Also Sape hated the trio.
This actually made me cry a little because of everything that Snape went through. No friends, lost the only one who cared about him, the only one he loved, and in the end, died alone. That's heartbreaking.
Actually he sorta died in Harry's arms. At least he could see Lily's emerald eyes for one last time, but I wish Harry knew the truth about him all along
He died in her child's arms... given the circumstances, and the obvious lack of her presence, I think that was the best possible way for him to die. So he wasn't remembered as a terrible person. And so he knew Dumbledore didn't die in vain. He didn't suffer. That it was his choice. He also saw a lot of reasons behind his hateful words and actions towards Harry... his father basically manipulated Lily away from him. The one person in the entire world that truly cared about him other than Dumbledore, really. And maybe the other professors. His "bad" impression is merely just a projection of the trauma he's experienced due to his entire lineage.

People that are mad at snape's power, did you not read the books?. He was an expert at dark arts in his first year. Knew more than the seventh years and created his own deadly spells. On top of that he is skilled at dueling in general and is a potions master. And on top of THAT can literally fly without the use of brooms or teleporting spells. Only he and Voldemort are capable of that. Even Dumbledore couldn't fly. Plus he is skilled in occlumency and legilimency. He's a beast.
Madi H i agree
i agree. he was always after the dada job during the golden trio era and had many curses and hexes he created. he could fly and was very ingenious
It's a shame he had no offspring that could have inherited some of his talents
