He Maybe wouldn’t have talked about him being the greatest wizard, but his greatest weakness has always been his anger and emotional outbreaks, you see that in CoS and GoF, especially in his early years. And he didn’t mind lying about his opinions but not about something that little important as Quidditch when they have already been friends and she was in love, so there was no need to manipulate her

Why are so many people being so negative? For a fan made project, this is seriously impressive! Just think about the effort and time this took to make. It's not "garbage" just because it wasn't what you were expecting. It is a very impressive short film, and these people should be praised for that.

I don’t think young Tom would go off on another student let alone be prideful in front of anyone. He’s always shown to be manipulative and keeps a facade at all times. He would have kept a lot of his feelings to himself, be calm and collected until the time to strike.

The only scene that really bothered me was, despite it looking visually beautiful, was the scene with Merope and baby Tom playing with the locket. Merope sold the locket when she was still pregnant, and died very shortly after giving birth to Tom. That scene was never possible.

They were well cast in terms of looks, but there's a few inconsistencies with Tom Riddle. One of his traits all the way through is that the mask never slipped, and Dumbledore was the only one who saw him for what he really was. He charmed and manipulated everyone around him, and would not have allowed his emotions to show through, and always remembered that he had told Dumbledore too much on their first meeting. He was careful to never do it again with anyone. Other than that, pretty well done.

Not strictly true, depends if you go by book or movie canon. In the first book the philosophers stone it is described very clearly he has slits of nostrils, so certainly even if he had a nose it would have looked very warped!

I wish they could have made tom less cheezy in this film. In the books he was silent and charming. He didnt appear over confident and cocky. They completely went off with that one. He wasn’t loudly saying he would be the greatest wizard in the world. Only Dumbledore was able to even see what he would become.

We know he kept the charming mask with professors, but in order to win respect in Slytherin as a no-name half-blood - one probably assumed to be a *mudblood* at first - he had to show some ruthlessness. Especially to win the loyalty of Mulciber, Avery, Lestrange, Nott and Rosier.

I really wish J.K.Rowling made more movies connected with Voldemort and his beginnings instead of focusing on the Fantastic Beasts and the crimes of Grindelwald. However, I am really happy this movie was able to bring me back the feeling of excitement and joy of being once again in the wizarding world. All the actors were amazing, the story and plot-twist were surprisingly good. The only thing that bothered me was the audio and the overused close-ups on the eyes of literally every character. However, Great job!

BRAVO, BRAVO, SIR this almost looks like something you would actually see in theaters. These people must have had a considerable budget to put together all these set pieces and special effects. I don’t know if this was a film school project or not but if it was they should be getting top marks. All my props to the creative story telling team as well, this is just goes to show what people can accomplish when they are passionate about something.
The actor for Tom did a lot of of the mannerisms that Ralph Fiennes did. Even how they did his hair/makeup and framed his face in shots! well done

I'm deeply touched with the care you guys took in making this for all of us. I mean, just the initiative in making a movie with THIS QUALITY IS AMAZING, but we can see how hard you all worked to reach all Potterheads in the world. I myself am a brazilian and didn't expected the subtitles and seeing now that you're not native english speakers and dubbed it all so more people could understand is extremely sweet and touching. Thank you so much!!! The movie is beautiful, ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING. I loved every minute of it and I can't quite describe how grateful I am for this magical experience. The best fan film I ever watched, no doubt. The cinematography, the visual effects... It's perfect, I didn't expect such quality and attention. How accurate the murder of Hepzibah Smith was?! NICE! Only for that the movie was already worth it. Plus, Stefano Rossi... You're the Tom I asked Merlin for. Loved how evil, charming, clever and arrogant you were during the entire thing. Anyway, without a question the best choice for our clever boy Tom. And again, thanks for everyone envolved in this project, it was above my expectations and just made my day! One of the best fan films I have ever seen. I watch it once a week, since I've known it. I wish there were heirs to the other houses, and it makes sense to me, that Godric, Helga & Rowena had kids, although not mentioned besides Helena Ravenclaw. And who says Rowena didn't have any sons, we just don't know. What bothers me here: 1.Merope Gaunt, never held Tom in her arms, she died right after giving birth to him, and he sees the locket only when Hepzibah is showing it to him. 2."The Raven is superior to the Snake". Wrong! It should be: "The Eagle is superior to the Snake". 3.The ending was so sad to my eyes. I liked it and didn't like it at the same time. Which makes this movie a master piece. 4.The lip syncing is horrible, I rather to hear the Italian with subs in English.
At the end, when tom says "you violated my souls tomb" i assumed he meant when when they took the diary from its hiding place. But upon listening again, you realize he means his soul that's still in his body when the veritiserum forced him to talk of his past. At this point hes trying to forget "tom" and become "voldermort"
And I noticed that when he refused to say Voldemort (while disguised), he was talking about Grisha’s memory. I assume he used some form of magic to gain the memory from Grisha, as it was not his own - but nevertheless he was talking about a past which involved him. He wanted no association between Tom and Voldemort.

Apart from the voice sync (too bad the actors weren't speaking english), the music is intense, the color grading is stunning and the overall film is well executed !
Refreshing to explore other aspects of Tom Riddle's life, his obsession with noble magical artefacts for the horcruxes is well depainted. Much impressive !
and apart from the fact it looks like Hogwarts is filled with University aged kids vs actual kids :P but yes, not bad.
