- This was our first time hearing "Little Big". This song Skibidi was so fun and so funny. We could not stop laughing at the video. But the music was so good. It is a total party song. The DJ should play this in his line up. It was hard finding songs that he did not know. But even a DJ cannot know everything. He was such a great guest though. He knows so much about music. So Fun!

Glad to see people keep discovering Little Big and enjoying their amazing creative potential.
A couple of facts about the group. Both singers - male and female - are a married couple, they got married a few years ago. They also have 2 musicians in the group.
Main singers are Ilyich and Sophia.
The band used to have another lead singer who was a lady called Olimpia, she was a little person and added to the unusual vibe the group keeps creating.
The band is genious when it comes to humor. Homor has always been a huge part of their creative process. They are not afraid to mock modern trends, address very spicy topics and all that just for a good laugh. Their music videos are some sort of a franchise where one flows into another smoothly. The band started with rave genre and then went towards all sorts of electro-techno-dance shenanigans. They were supposed to be the representatives of Russia on Eurovision - biggest and oldes European song contest but since it was in 2020 the damn virus screwed it all up.
Little Big members are quite famous in russian media and many Russian comedians or media persons are friends with them. The band members have always been quite liberal and open-minded people which does not stack too well with a very conservative views imposed by the government. When Russia invaded Ukraine they wrote a song "Generation Cancellation" and shot a video about the hypocrisy of modern life, the troubles that modern societies go through and it was a sort of their anti-war manifesto. Then they left Russia and now they reside in LA, trying to make some money as they have never been as popular in the States as they have been in Russia. They are still loved in Russia though.

I often think of Cotton Eyed Joe, even though not heard it since the 90s, "where did [whatever] go" in my head becomes the CEJ line.
I only discovered Little Big a couple of years ago but their songs made as much as an impact as CEJ, and that was 1 song, I wonder if in 30 years I'll be breaking out into a weird dance and barking and croaking with nobody around me understanding (cool if I can, I'll be almost 80 by then rofl)

More Little Big, please - although you gotta be aware that their earlier stuff is a lot harder and darker. For funsies, Try Go Bananas and then these three in this order; Uno, Tacos, Sex Machine - also known as the Jumpsuit Guy Trilogy.
The other band you may be thinking of could be The Hatters, who are well worth a listen.

Almost all (maybe all) of their videos are made with the same director. It’s very obvious in some (like Lollybomb, which is musically and lyrically “meh” but the video is absolute genius) that the band was intimately involved in the video concept.

Music is outside politics, people are outside politics. When you scold the state don't forget that the state is NOT only politicans, but also ordinary people who may be offended by your rhetoric in the video. They don't deserve such negativity. Peace.
