I use a dumb flip phone now after years of using the smart phone...nice to just use the phone for what it was originally intended for, Talking :-)

I agree! I grew up in the late '90's early 2000's, and my first cellphone was a Nokia. I had a smartphone at one point, and I felt like I wasted a lot of hours of my teen years. Now, in my early 20's, I feel so much better after buying a Nokia 3310! It's worth it, trust me. :)
@@naturelover3274 I'm using a Flip phone I only use my smartphone at home or when my grandma needs find something on Walmart app I use Wi-Fi

Hi Lisa, Thanks for putting up this video and talking about the improvements you gained from going to a dumb phone. I am considering the switch to a dumb phone as a daily phone, I'll still keep my smart phone for photos and video recording but now I'm thinking Ill swap to an mp3 player for music and get a real camera down the track.

@@julianserafica5139 It's amazing how much we seem to rely on our phones - over the years dependency creeped in without us realising. I did it some time ago and I don't miss it at all now.

I just wish I knew how to replace my camera/my gps/my Spotify and I would give up my iPhone in a heartbeat.

@@Puty0urlipstick0n It’s minimalistic in that the convenience factor of the all-in-one smartphone is gone. As for spotify, look into the Fiio M6. It looks pretty cool!
The reason I hate it is the constant messages and like pressure from demands it’s too much sometimes so I think it’s good to get rid of smart phones
Great to see another Irish Dumbphone user, I don't know how I haven't seen this clip until now! Love seeing peoples reactions, had to show the guy at Argos my collection code today on my Nokia 216 he looked at me like i had 2 heads lol.

Brad, same choice! Thought I'd use smart phone net connection for cycling sfx streamed from the net but I understood, MP3 player is much more trustworthy, easier to use, no lags and disruptions, less costs : ) I don't recommend for video a smart phone, the modern specific video equipment such as DJI Pocket have much better optics than a smart phone's small lens. Good people realise the negative impacts and the imprisonment the big tech companies try to inflict upon us. I have a Samsung XCover1 and keep it home only, just like the superior land line phones that are sadly only a memory left. They had only benefits: no cancer risk radiation, clean sound, trustworthy, no lags, interruptions, disgusting system or failure sounds, stable connection...
Get rid of smartphones an go flip phones an definitely get rid of evil ass social media’s platform an we will be back too normal interactive humans agian

It's shit apps like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok that make us spend all our time on our phone. Not maps, backing apps, calculator etc.

Good point. I know 2G dumb phones don't work with the 3 network -
I think Verizon has ditched 2g/3g but they are now releasing basic flip phones that do have 4glte but still limit what you can do with the internet
