    There are some mistakes in the lingual aspect
    1) the buccal cusp is sharper than lingual cusp.
    2) lingual cusp is slightly mesial to the mid-line hence, the mesio-occlusal slope is shorter than the disto-occlusal slope.

    Sir I have a doubt that in buccal aspect while we say about buccal ridge which is from cusp tip to cervical can we also say it as that buccal ridge is extended in cerivo occlusal direction?

    • @doctoropsyindia
      @doctoropsyindia  Před rokem

      yes technically you wont be wrong.. you may say that... though it is a term not commonly used..

  • @lilyliluuu

    Is mesial contact area suppose to be near junction occlusal and middle third, and distal contact area is middle third

    • @doctoropsyindia
      @doctoropsyindia  Před rokem

      hello Lily, no its the other way around, the distal contact area is more occlusal than the mesial contact area.

      buccal aspect is usually compared to a 4 sided geometric figure 1 side for each surface- occlusal mesial distal cervical.

    • @doctoropsyindia

      yes, theoretically for maxillary teeth, the word palatal should be used. but since while speaking lingual is used more commonly, so i have used that for explanation...
