- Join me on truly amazing, not to mention challenging, backpack across England from one coast to the other following the Wainwright Coast to Coast Path. I backpacked this 'pure style' , carrying everything on my back in a 20 kg rucksack, covering over 200 miles in 13 days, and climbing the equivalent of Everest. I have completed quite a few backpack trips over the years, this one was in 2015 when I was a comparative spring chicken at 67 year old :)! The jet stream blew south just before I started so I had some awful weather, including heavy frost, freezing sleet, driving rain, mist/low cloud......and some sunshine :) It was a memorable and very meaningful trip for me, and I have created this 'video' from the many photographs that I took, combined with my journal that I wrote each day. Hope you enjoy :)!
Thanks so much for watching and if you enjoyed it and would like to see more, please do like, subscribe and follow me.
Be blessed

Great video sire. I moved to Cumbria a few years ago and planned to do that trek. Sadly , tearing my achilles has put the idea on hold.
Ah, thank you so much! I'm so sorry to hear about your achilles and I wish you a speedy recovery. I had the same issue many years ago whilst backpacking the Cotswold Way 😔
@terryyarrow1230 It is what it is. Trouble is healing takes an age as one gets older, and then when it finally heals you are so unfit. Was great to watch though. My late father, many moons ago, walked the Pennine Way twice...with many school children in tow. Wouldn't be allowed today. Years after he'd completed it, I met some ex pupils of his who had walked with him. They said it was absolutely brilliant...probably coz they went in pubs lol. I still have his multi coloured bobble hat that he wore.
@@mrchuffachuffa7864 Yes, I can identify with that. I'm in my mid seventies and I always say that I lose my fitness much quicker than I used to, and then it takes longer to build it up again 😱
@terryyarrow1230 If I had a hat on I would raise it to you. It has inspired me to walk some more over the winter. Just into town for a coffee or beer each day. Once again, thanks for posting. I feel so sorry for those souls who have never left their cities. So ,so sad.
@@mrchuffachuffa7864 Thank you 😀 I can't imagine not walking and getting out into the countryside, its my favourite thing to do 😀
