I love the "What the hell is going on here?" from Biff and the ominous music foreshadowing him being the villain again.
Rob the real tragedy of the trilogy was Biff. He got his comeuppance in one and had become a functional good person. At least someone that wasn't a walking demon that causes even greater suffering. Then in 2 he is restored to evil and disappears from existence (cut scene).
That and the destruction of happy life Lone Pines Marty to be replaced with Twin Pines Marty taking over his life.
True, eh? I think seeing a flying car that vanished into thin air had a traumatic impact on Biff which caused him to turn into a jerk again in 2015.
@@tertiuscarstens7084 He was a bitter old man by 2015, thats why he bothered Marty (who he thought was Marty Jr), he knew Marty wouldn't take crap from Biff, but he knew Marty Jr would. He was still being bullied by his grandson though and his car dealership while functioning wasn't lighting up the world.
Tough guy just pretending to be submissive
Back to the Future paid attention to detail
Back to the Future Trilogy fact: Back to the Future II is the only one of the three movies to have its main theme song playing during the opening credits.
No wonder why the first one doesn't.
The message of the BTTF 2 theme song is simply: "Buckle up, this is gonna be some ride!"
Another Back to the Future fact: Back to the Future II is the ONLY one of the three films to present the Flying Delorean, while BTTF I and BTTF III were all about reaching the speed of 88 miles
That's actually not true. Part 3's main theme is different from the other 2, and plays over the opening credits. It is a more sentimental, emotional theme, but it is the main theme for that particular sequel nonetheless.
This movie trilogy never gets old, it is such a classic!
that little jingle in the beginning at 0:18 ALWAYS gives me goosebumps.
I know right!
Same feeling you get when you see the ''a long time ago in a galaxy far far away'' titles
You just know 😌

I always love the embarrassed look Marty gives Jennifer after Doc hops out of the deloreon.
Never noticed that before, but it's hilarious 🤣👍
This perfectly sums it up.
"What the hell is going on here?"
My line the past 20 years. God might be hitting the reset button
Father pucci
I love the look on Jennifer's face when Doc says "Something's gotta be done about your kids!" as well as when he says "Where we're going, we don't need roads"
Zemeckis once said that Back to the Future was never meant to be a sequel so when they did one, they had to come up with something slightly clever to get rid of Jennifer early in the film.
Nothing against that, as it was mostly for laughs, but I kinda think had she been awake and clued in on what they were here to do, she would have been a big help in subduing Marty Jr.
I think everyone understood that "something has got to be done about your kids" was just a funny, throwaway end line, but then he and Bob Gale made the mistake of actually using it. I liked the sequel, but I never agreed with that.
@@soylenttealwhen i first saw the first one it perfectly sets up a sequel. Plus on tape it says to be continued and i had to wait a week to rent the tape from the library... I think they had no choice but to roll with it... I was looking forward to what happened with their kids... Imagining what happens etc...

Absolutely love this. The first movie I saw in the cinema when I was four, haha. The cloud-scene was unbelievable to see such huge screen at that age
those clouds were filmed for this Clint Eastwood movie Firefox:
czcams.com/video/T5W4MiBuEnY/video.html
2:55 - Best looking clouds in movie history.
I never get tired of watching that bit. :)
Very nostalgic feel as well.
I always thought it was stupid of Doc to fly that Delorean right above the neighborhood in plain sight. 😂
It's Saturday, most are probably sleeping in
@@dnasty312 True, but you'd think at least one person would be awake and hear the strange noises.
It was like 11:30 from what I remember. George and Lorraine had just got back from playing tennis and Biff had been cleaning/waxing the car.
@@dnasty312 sounds like an excuse you're making for the movie, but fair enough.
(I still love Part II, but yeah)
It looks fricking awesome though!
The “MARTY” at 1:28 gets me everytime
Happy 30th Anniversary to Back To The Future Part 2.
Well Marty actually did get to see Biff's matchbooks that he printed up after all lol.
Great flick. Great friggin flick
Absolutely!! Eastwood’s Bullet proof vest foreshadowing Marty’s in BTTF 3. Great script writing.
He’s so proud of his matchbooks lol. Biff eventually figures out whet the hell was going on. 30 years later.
I prefer this version over the one shot at the end of the first one.
- the scene has energy
- the line deliverys are better
- the music is exciting
I didnt really notice any differences from the '85 closing 2 the '89 opening , although there was a different girl involved.
Interesting to watch the re-acted part here and then go back to the original ending, I'm surprised I never realized that different actresses were used xD.. Least obvious was the truck.
0:18 is litterally my ringtone :)
I just realized this:
The Delorean's taillights don't work.
The reverse lights fail to come on when Doc backs up and when he comes to a stop, they don't illuminate at all.
The change of voice
of biff is awesome
I remember back then before internet when you went to the movies and the trailer for Part 2 came on and you were like NO WAY!!!!
bigmaxy07 you are so right! :o
honestly, no
I was born in 1995
I am from 2005 but i do really love these movies , never gets boring
At the end of Part 2 they show a preview of Part 3
Now when I was a kid, I used to think the flying cars were all time machines flying on Hill Valley’s skyway.
Agreed I gotta admit doctor who has a motercycle, doc has a literall sports car and other BBC time travler has a bicycle
It’s the best opening title over!!!!
This Jennifer is more expressive.
The story still goes on!
2:55 Look at all these clouds on the opening credits, while Doc, Marty and Jennifer travel to 2015!!!!!
Was filmed by the great gyrosphere! Also used in lost boys and flight of the navigator.
So many memories
I just realized the significance of Biff's Matches, when the almanac is burned with Biff's Casino Matches and the future is fixed, they turn into the Auto Dealing ones.
Nice touch.
Out of the two versions I like this one better - for one, doc seems more frantic. Like he really needs to brief Marty really fast and get to what they need to do. When Marty asks Doc if they become assholes, doc turns away and thinks about it for a second. Which in turn is hilarious but also foreshadows Marty’s dark future which he prevents.
I remember this! the beginning of the second movie!
"I Need fuel!!" Home energy reactor 😂😂😂
0:50 “Oh shit I messed up bad, now she has different DNA…”
Haha I love when Marty asks if they become assholes docs like" 🤔🤔 " then is like "no no"
Yeah, it's like Doc is thinking, "What's my next line?" That got a laugh in the theater.
LOL
yeah well that's because they wrote Jennifer and Marty's problems in the sequel
Guys its more a look of “no...but actually...”
@@sha11235 or “should i tell em...”
In the beginning of the movie the father drinks Miller Lite. After Marty changes the timeline, the dad now drinks Miller High Life “The Champagne of Beers”
0:18 that jingle...
Even blindfolded, you know immediately what your friends are up to, while making a movie night at home. You know what's coming and that they picked a true classic out of the shelves. 😍
what a great music!
This movie picks up not long where the first movie has ended when Marty was home again and reunited again with his girlfriend Jennifer just like in the similar familiar opening sequence to Madagascar 3 Europe's Most Wanted.
looking back , what was the rush to go back to the future . to prevent something that happens decades later lol
there wasn'!
that was the joke, i guess?
If it wasnt 4 Marty going back 2 1885, Biff would be running the whole town of Hill Valley in 1985!
Biff's Match Boxes/Candles (foreshadowing in the Alternate 1985; Bad Timeline)
It's like he earned that truck after what Marty had already been through.
They should have called it Back to the Future: Revenge of Biff Tannen.
Then in part III they should have called it Back to the Future: Days of the Wild West.
William Darkhölme I mean that would spoiled the plot of the movie
Revenge of the Biff instead of Revenge of the Sith.
My favorite BTTF movie in the trilogy. :)
Yeah. Listen to your friend Billy Zane here. He’s cool.
The angle in which to Delorean leaves in 1985 (pointing skyward) is different from the angle it appears in 2015 (facing downward)
Dude, Elizabeth Shue...whewwwwwwwww...
Doc! I am glad you showed up, something is wrong, my hot girlfriend now looks like my cousin Ricky.
2:02 The look on Doc's face when he pauses after Marty asks him about what happens to him and Jennifer in the future, like he's debating on telling him that he does indeed become an asshole in the future.
It kind of pisses me off that Doc straight up lies to Marty about his future right here. He knows that Marty is gonna have a car accident, and it costs him his music career and respect from his family. He then will be fired and his family will end with both his kids in jail.
Doc could’ve easily said “don’t ever race someone named needles or let him get you mad when he calls you chicken.”
If your worried about Time paradox’s or whatever, they literally go and prevent Marty’s son from going to jail, I think the time space continuum will be fine.
Also Doc should’ve just let Marty have the almanac, cause even if Marty still has the accident then he can use the money to support his family.
Considering what that book did to Biff it's safe to say Accident Marty should not get his hands on it. If you think Citizen Brown in the Game was scary, imagine Citizen Marty or some variation of him that turned evil.
Shanethefilmmaker I don’t think Marty would succumb to being evil because he’s rich. Marty wanted to play music so he would’ve used to almanac to do just that and he would have money saved for his family. If he ever turned the there’s Doc to keep him grounded or warned that his families life would be ruined. However that never crossed docs mind and only wanted to protect time and space from being changed to much.
@@masterzombie161 If it happened to Doc it can happen to Marty. Hell, the thought of greed did get into his mind despite being well off in the changed 1985 prior to the accident. Each evil version of the characters is often always basically their traits, but done wrong. Case in point, while Biff Tannen was an asshole in 1955 and the original 1985, those traits became 10 times worse in 1985-A. Doc, while a crazy yet kind scientist, did unspeakable things as Citizen Brown under the guise of doing what he believed was right. Granted he didn't have the Almanac, but if he had access to that info, Citizen Brown would have expanded from Hill Valley and went international creating a cross between 1981 and the 4th Reich simply because he'd have the funds and in turn the resources to do that. Marty like you said, wanted to be a rock star. Naturally, had the accident not happen and things turned out great for him he'd find success. With the Almanac he would have probably succumbed to the dark side of the rock star life. Drugs, recklessness, little care for anyone but yourself. The only difference between them and him being that while they found their rock bottom (The famous example being what prompted Roger Waters to create The Wall.), Marty would have access to nigh unlimited funds that would have probably ended with Hill Valley destroyed a different way. Think about any story where a rock star on a binge trashed a hotel room. However while most rock stars would have either fled the scene or wake up in the mess after a bad hangover; Marty would still be trashing the place in a drug fueled rampage and just moving on to the next building. Granted it may not exactly happen that way, but point being is with a franchise like this, everything is relative. Meaning there would always be at least one time line where a good person goes bad. Doc proved that one very well.
It wasn't just the accident that caused Marty's problems, it was how he loses it everytime someone called him a chicken. He had to get over that, and by part 3 he did.
The only part where the opening credits are yellow.
Do yourself a favor turn on your stereo speakers or put on some headphones and if you can turn up the bass a bit , max volume sit back and enjoy!!!
A Robert Zemeckis Film
Here's my input I'd say The setting of back of the future part 2 was more:
2051
2150
2501
2510
5012
5021
5102
5120
5201
5210
Than 2015...
At least i might live 2C 2051!
I need to borrow the Delorean to go back in time to 1942 to see movie premiere of Holiday Inn starring Bing Crosby.
Doc's outfit tho
I honestly would wear that every day
I love the part when doc makes fun of what marty says. Lol.
At 2:37, what exactly does he say? To me its not too clear what he says.
Look at the watch he is wearing at 1:05.In bttf 1 ending scene he is not wearing that watch
I just realized the truck is on the other side of the garage in this part
There are a lot of small but noticeable details between the end of 1 and start of 2 (and I don't just mean different Jennifer from Claudia Wells to Elisabeth Shue lol). Its a little brighter in the 2 opening, Marty's hair is a little longer in 2, also Doc thinks once or twice after Marty asks Doc if his kids will be assholes lol. Also the BMW is slightly moved.
Nope, the truck is at the same spot. You probably just saw the mirrored version here on CZcams ( just like i did after reading your comment).
What the hell is going on here?
Movie Perfection,
Dont care bout its flaws this movie is perfection
Biffs reaction to seeing the Delorean like he's seen it before always had me confused, then it must've had something to do with seeing it in 1955 before crashing into another manure truck.
3:47 GOGOGO
ten dollars says the car is covered in oil.
The Yellow Brick Road , son !
1:28 Morty!
What was biff onto here when he said what the hell is going on?
Lol what's the rush to get to 2015? They have 30 years, I'd say that's more than enough time to help deter their kids from this predicament. "SOMETHINGS GOTTA BE DONE ABOUT YOUR KIDS!!" lol great movie though
I know doc has the newspaper just give it to Marty in 85
@@subjectnether959 Then there's no film.
What would 47 year old Marty do then? Disguise as his kid, like 17 year old Marty did?
Cesar Rincon the crash with needles would ruin his life and he couldn’t be disguised as his son
Maybe because he didn't want anyone to see the car and was just as in a hurry to get it out of Dodge as he was with Marty and Jennifer.
We have a 5-foot flying DeLorean mounted on a jet drone we use 4 micro turbine jets NO JOKE it cost $ 100,000 Daniel Hipps flying DeLorean yes this is real research it
Go the HILUX
So was Crispin glover in this sequence?
No. They reshot that scene with a different actor wearing prosthetics to make him look like Crispin Glover. Glover ended up suing Universal, Bob Zemeckis and Spielberg for unauthorized use of his image, and he actually won. It's now written into the SAG bylaws that they can't do that kind of thing anymore.

😎🎸👍👏🏆🥇🔥🔥🔥 🔥 🔥
I love the look on Doc´s face. :D Like: well, hm, you are kind of an asshole....but na, thats not the problem. :D
I saw Part II recently and it looked like Christopher Lloyd forgot what his line was.
2:38
Now that I see this again I have to say that it makes really no sense :D I really love the movies and have great memories but why the hell do they need to hurry so much? They have a time machine and 30 years to plan something :D They could sit down for a week and make a much better plan or whatever, just warn marty about the misfortune in the future and then let him take care of it in his own future. Or am I missing something here?
1:18
Not the same actress as at the end of the first movie(even though it's the same exact scene but recreated). They may have fooled a lot of people but not me.
Question what the hell is going on here?
OCT 26!!!!!! NOT OCT 21!!!!!!!
October 26th, 1985 to October 21st, 2015.
1:17 too bad they get interrupted when their about to kiss each other.

i love these sequels but i didn't liked Elisabeth Shu as Jennifer at all
Claudia Wells was better

Elisabeth Shue's overacting in this movie was preposterous.
Claudia wells is the better Jennifer
Biff always reminds me of Donald Trump.
