Personally i use mineral oil and 98 octane petrol. About an 1:25 - 1:40 mix. If you use a synthetic oil then i suggest a 1:40 - 1:50 mix. The engine is 45cc.
Find a steep hill!😂 But seriously, just adjusting the carb and giving it a slightly leaner fuel mixture and clearing the exhaust might give you an extra 3 kph. You could also mess around with sprocket sizes, a larger sprocket should increase max speed but it will mean less torque or just get the block enlarged to a few CCms more
@@nierkis5610 Basic upgrades like boring the cylinder intlets and outlets, a better air filter and tweaking the carburetor. Also you can install a rear sprocket with less teeth to get a higher top speed. I suggest a 32-40 teeth sprocket depending on the wheel diameter. If you are looking for better accelaration and more low-end torque i suggest a 40-55 teeth sprocket. It depends what you are using your moped for. bigger upgrades include installing a reed valve and a bigger carburator, intalling an expansion chamber and installing a beefier clutch. Also you can install a piston with one pistonring. I suggest installing a contactless magneto ignition system from a chinese motorized bicycle engine which allows you to get higher rpm`s. For this moped i have only bored the cylinder inlets and outlets and tweaked the original carburator to keep it original.

Lots of the parts like the engine and wheels were made in modern day Russia. Only the frames and gas tanks were made in Latvia. So it is hard to credit one manufacturer.
I had one when i was 13 in 1987. Great moped. Very easy to fix.

i just removed my muffler, it sounded alot louder and not like a fart and it went faster

The later models had a wider drive chain i think and i have a later model
yeah about the title its a soviet latvian moped.
When im pedaling with mine the back sprocket is spinning but the wheel isnt. Do you know whats up with that?
