Her plan is to play Ryan off Homelander, she is setting up the Boys to kill Homelander (caesar reference in her talk with him) and install Ryan as "Augustus" who as the only natural born supe takes over America and the world as the new leader who she controls. I think her grand plan is to create a world where everyone is a natural born supe, with Ryan as the archetype. Her offhand comment to Deep about him being genetically superior I think she actually believes that to some degree. She is a supe supremacist like Homelander, but she realizes Homelander is too unstable to control to realize that plan. This is why she drove a wedge between them by noting Homelander is just a test tube freak, whereas Ryan is the only natural born supe the "chosen one". It's also what Homelander requested for her to do for him. He asked her to build an empire for Ryan. And that's what she is doing, although I imagine she plans to control Ryan somehow from the shadows. Likely through social engineering rather than directly.
She's not in love. She thinks he's hot and the lobotomy makes her stupid enough for just long enough to tolerate him. Otherwise her ability makes him basically insufferable to her.
I don’t like her character. I have a theory that parasite watching butcher alive will end up in Sage’s brain since her brain regenerates itself so there will always be brain for the parasite to eat while torturing Sage
I could be wrong, but I think Sister Sage is super intelligent but lacks real social skills. Homelander is super manipulative but isn't as smart as Sister Sage. I think Homelander consciously made the decision to approach Sister Sage in regular clothes when he first met her. Sort a manipulation tactic.

She should be well aware of the fact that he's a manipulative murderer if even starlight's fans can put the pieces together. She even told Homelander to frame innocents for the murder of 3 "protestors". She probably doesn't even care about the morality of Vought and believes that her intelligence could outshine any manipulation Homelander would use, hence her calm demeanor.

When you explain her powers and at the end, she possibly has regenerative abilities some reason in the back of my mind I say well maybe that can be the way she’s connected to Marie Moreau I don’t know why I thinks that that’s the way to categorizing them (sups). Lex Luthor canonically is smarter than Bruce Wayne, yet there's a version of him that was smart enough to outsmart Earth-1 Lex who is one of the smartest version of Lex...and yet he died to the Joke because he didn't ask him to join The Secret Six....because plot. Lest we also forget this is the same series that had Tek-Knight save the planet by banging it. I believe it. She's the smartest person in their universe. Considering the IQ of the majority of characters... Translucent was so smart. A-Train touching all the jars in that cabinet KNOWING that HL would be able to smell him(why would he need to touch the milk and pubes jar if he knows what V looks like) l. Same with Ashley leaving the floater. There's no narrative they can spin that would explain that (except plot). So yeah considering the cast genius they've gifted us...Sage us the smartest.
