I had this kit , got it for CHRISTMAS when I was maybe 12 years old...It was huge... Took me a long time to build... Had it hanging in my bedroom... You know what happens when you fight with your younger brother right... NEED I SAY MORE... NOW I WANT TO FIND THIS KIT AGAIN I THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT KIT... thank for putting this video together... Brought back memories... CHRIS from OHIO
I had the old Airfix kit two times, first when i was in school with the same bluenoser scheme as in the video "This is it!" and many years later, maybe in the nineties as "Big Beautiful Doll".
MPC and General Mills teamed up in the 1970s to produce a big scale Mustang kit, at least they didn't drop the ball when it came to the details...unlike that 1/32 P-51 Revell once offered that had zero details in the cockpit and wheel wells! Have fun with your big, big Mustang, MD!!
You are absolutely correct. The gentleman who is the creator of the PrimeModelWorks CZcams channel just started building the Airfix kit and it is the same kit reviewed here.

It does appear to be a reboxed version using their moulds
nice
It is the airfix kit.... Utter rubbish kit
Considering it came out in the mid 70’s, it’s pretty good.
