The Institute of the Sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus (EHJ) was founded in Lagos Archdiocese on January 18, 1943 by Archbishop Leo Hale Taylor, SMA.
Our Spirituality is Eucharistic.
Our Charism is sharing the sentiments of Christ when he gave us the Eucharist: Love, Praise, Thanksgiving and Sacrifice.
Our mission as Educated African Sisters is to commit ourselves to love humanity through education, medical, social and pastoral services. We do all things for the GREATER GLORY OF GOD.
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus teaches us to appreciate fully the love that inspired Christ to give himself to us in the mystery of the Eucharist. It teaches us to adore the Eucharist and to make reparation for those who fail to recognize the Most Holy Sacrament. Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, on fire with love of us, inflame our hearts with love of you.
